Changed our rooms to a small closet that was absolutely no where near where we booked. Also booked the cheapest flights without making us aware we would have to check any baggage we had. Upon calling they had nothing to say and were no help in getting things corrected.
I needed 4 tickets to Cancun from Vegas as close to $500 as I could get. These people somehow got my number and harassed me until I purchased in a moment of weakness. From Vegas they routed us thru ATLANTA, long layover, then long flight to Cancun. NEEDLESS! They don't know geography and later I could kick myself for agreeing, because of the price. From Utah to Atlanta to Cancun? Duh. Houston or LA much shorter and safer bets. We flew home thru Houston and COULD NOT BELIEVE how short the flights were compared to going to Cancun. AND! When we arrived at Cancun to fly United, we were told we would have to check our carry on size suitcases and pay $145! (for 4 people) My husband immediately looked on the United website and it says 2 free checked cases. But we had carry on size! What? It was extortion and Wowfare should have advised us this was coming up or whatever. I will never use a "travel agency" again. Just easier to do it myself as we have many times. They called me so many times and sent so many emails and changes I finally told them to no contact me again.

I do not recommend anyone to purchase tickets with them. The screwed up my name in the ticket and not willingly to change it when airline said it is possible. But instead, they want me to cancel my ticket of $2900 and purchase a new one which cost $4200.

We paid $4600 for a round-trip to Thailand from Atlanta. (3 of us) when we arrived at the airport in Thailand to come home, suddenly, Singapore airlines could not find our tickets. Wowfare was not available to support us whatsoever. No one has taken responsibility for this huge blunder and they continue to placate us over two months later with our refund. It is clear that they don't intend to give us a refund. The higher a lawyer would cost more than the $8600 We had to pay to get home from another airline. They are the most pathetic company we've ever dealt with.
I don't know how they stay in business except for the fact that they show good prices. They have tons of bad reviews. Don't make the mistake I made. Don't go with them. It's not worth it.

I need to update my review, which I posted several months ago after not receiving my refund. The company did an investigation, and they gave me a refund. So now I change my rating from 1 star to 4 stars. Originally I posted: "We needed a ticket with a changeable return date. The sales agent knew that. When it came time to change the return date, they said we cannot. After numerous calls, being on hold, getting disconnected, calling back, starting over, waiting for the "manager" to finish his investigation and call me back, we gave up. Now we have to buy an expensive one-way ticket. Not from them, obviously. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY."
One question remains: did they do an investigation and give me a refund because I went online to give bad reviews? I'll never know. But they did get me a cheap ticket, and they eventually honored the terms of the refund policy, so now I can say they did a good job.

Tracey was my agent and she promised me that the day before my flight she will get me my seat assignment. I called her all day till I had to pay a lot of money to get my own seats. Then Summer, customer service, said she will check and gave me 2 $50 certificates, and I told her I don't want that and she said, again, she will have to check the system, now she said they can't give me anything. How is that for bait and switch?

Was searching for international flights in November...noted they quoted a better price than other sites, but I had to call them direct. I did so and they got back to me with a quote $150 more that on the airlines website. For me and my wife, that would be $300 more. I told the agent no thanks...then they had the audacity to call me back tonight. By the way, I booked the flights direct on Wednesday...don't fall for their "bait and switch"...don't waste you time
Pls to be on the safe side, stay away from wowfare. Is not carrying comp. They will give you traveling problems. They will make your blood pressure goes up. They will make you pay additional airline tickets. This comp is my money wasting comp. Pls don't try them
Do not book with these shady people. They will not help you when you need it. They will not tell you what you actually paid for each flight. They are shady as hell.
On 24 January 2023, I booked round trip tickets (with two other couples) to Italy 13-21 June 23 for $2112.84 and had a pleasant experience booking thru Wowfare with all three couples receiving the exact same itinerary. Mid March I got an email telling me there was an issue with my return flight. The other two couples received similar emails and we ended up with three different return plans. We could deal with that inconvenience, but I continued to receive emails informing me that there were problems with my return flight. I have called or emailed Wowfare at least every other day since then asking for an update on my return reservation. In every case, the person I would talk with appeared to care and acknowledge the sense of urgency, but they always asked for 24-48 hours to work my issue (that's their way of ending a call). I would recontact them in 2 days and get same response. I have asked to speak to a supervisor and they refuse to patch me to one; instead they promise a supervisor will call me, but I have never been called back from Wowfare (from anyone). After today's ritual phone-call to Wowfare produced the same response, "please allow us 24-48 hours to address your situation" and "I will have my supervisor contact you", I am finally fed up and have little confidence that I will have a return flight with less than 2 weeks left before my departure. This company has lied to me for 10 weeks when I contact them and ask for updates and they refuse to put me in contact with a supervisor or have someone contact me with any updates or resolution for my situation.
Fraud alert!
Fraud alert! An Agent booked a different flight without our consent. Company delayed and denied responsibility withhold our money $8377. Contacting WOWFARE tried to resolve the issue more than 10 times, each time took 24-48 hours to get back with us but a supervisor was NOT ABLE to get the answer to us. It has been a month. I had it. We will dispute charge on credit card. And if any layer wants to take to court, please contact us. I have all documents necessary to file a case and WOWFARE had done internal investigation and accepted their mistake, we also had a tape record phone conversation between us and a supervisor. Su
They charge me additional fees for seating that's actually free, They told me that the airline is charging that but when I check it its not. Don't fall for it like I did
I purchased 5 flights tickets from WowFare. Due to a hip replacement failure, we were not able to go to our winter home in Florida this season so the point of origin had to change.
After 4 online chats with customers service which promised to have the next level customer service call me back. I gave up!
They are probably fine if everything goes smoothly. Otherwise, forget them.

Avoid This Company - Absolute Waste Of Tme
Company advertised on Skyscanner promising a "phone only" rate to Oslo under $500. The advertisement promised a call back in 3-5 minutes. 9 hours later, my phone rang multiple times before 6 am pacific time. When I finally answered the call, the quote they had for me was higher than the rate available on SAS airlines website. Agent also tried to bully me into buying a ticket, falsely claiming SAS charges $100 each way for checked baggage, which is an outright lie easily confirmed by a quick check on the SAS website. If your ad says a phone only rate is available for 2 days, and the actual quote is hundreds more, and a pushy / lying agent tries to pressure you into a bad purchase, would you also leave a scathing review? Buyer beware.
Total bait and switch scammers. I was willing to check them out as I can be flexible with my schedule but as I feared when I finally spoke to someone they tried to sell me something that was five times what I was offered originally. I would say your best advice would be to look them up on tripadvisor. I don't really trust the other reviews that you see on trust pilot.
Well I was willing to try them out I definitely change my mind as soon as I could tell there was a bait and switch.
I will say I've had a lot of other success on some of these online ticket sites so definitely look them up and compare them especially with Google flights but not just them use several of them.
I was told $620- I paid and I was told price gone up, first was two check in luggage, than become one and than none, I spoke to 2 supervisor's one said your credit card is approved and in 45 minutes you will get ticket than 2nd one said wait 4 hours than next morning same guy who booked my ticket said you will not get ticket because still price has gone up so I had no option and cancel it and now I don't trust wowfares any more and searching for other options and prices have gone more up as cookies will not let me get better fares anymore thanks to wowfares and their team

Answer: I wouldn't use them. Skyscanner or Google travel much safer. Priceline. Booking direct thru the airline lets you be able to change. Booking thru these websites is non refundable and often with life, and with families, there are changes. Please see my review.
