The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

I purchased a cricket ticket which they say they sent to my e mail address. After sending several contact e mails no joy. If you want to give them money for no reason this company is for you
Bought two tickets for Adele £208.99 each which I thought was a lot but really wanted to do it. Didn't give total at checkout as I'd used site before and it had my card details. Costs added were £59.72 EACH ticket booking fee and £10.64 EACH ticket postage, plus VAT. The total came to £582.57 - I feel completely ripped off and has spoilt the fact that I got tickets. Then to make it worse £602.99 has gone out of my account. Nearly £100 extra per ticket on tickets which were £208 already. I just feel sick now from this experience! I have tried to contact them and can't. I'll never use this site again- should be illegal to rip people off like this.
I live in South Africa and bought tickets for a local rugby 7's event, 4 months before the event. Only 30% of the tickets arrived but I was still charged for all of them on my south african VISA card! The balance I resold on their site and now cannot get paid as I have a south african VISA card! This is a complete scam and the most unprofessional and illegal experience ever. Regards Geordie
Viagogo has no scruples selling tickets for a show several hundred percent above the true ticket price. To add insult to injury they then rip you off further by charging an enormous "booking fee" and "delivery charge" (without forewarning you about these charges!), for the privilege of emailing the hugely overpriced "tickets". The ticket arrived by email without my name on it and that's when I smelt a rat and went online to see how ripped off I was from reading other reviews! An utter disgrace that people can operate a "business" like this!
Used this site in error, no area of recourse. Booking fees and cost of ticket at end of process much higher than initially seen on the site. I hold my breath as to whether I get the tickets.
Paid $900 for 2 tickets to find out the real cost of the rickets were $235, paid over 220 in booking fees? Prices we were charged were in another currently and we got charged international credit card fees.
This site should be removed.
They pay to get to the top of google search results, then sell the cheapest tickets they can buy at triple price. You are sucked into thinking you are dealing with the official ticketing agent, but this is just a massive SCAM. Bottom feeding, amoral low life thieves.
Paid a large amount of money for tickets that were not mailed, had to be waiting at a restaurant for 3 hours to receive incorrect tickets. Not a reliable website at all. I had the worst experience and rip off!
As everyone else has said - RIP OFF. HUGE hidden charges, not upfront at time or agreeing to buy tickets also not sure tickets exist.
Has anyone managed to get their money back... I am trying! Any consumer companies can help? Money via bank account so can't go through credit card. #angry
Tickets were 3 times the normal price and were emailed to me on the day of the concert, not 3 days beforehand as promised. Tickets had some other person's name on them.
Sold me tickets at three times the face value. Then sent tickets for an event run a month before I purchased it. Now they can't answer my question as their website is "down for repairs". DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE. How come no regulator is shutting them down? So angry! And it's Christmas!
Hi,
I bought tickets on Viagogo and then resold them on there. The original seller has now said they can't provide the tickets so the transaction has been cancelled meaning I cannot now supply my buyer. Viagogo are saying I am responsible and are going to charge me. I don't seem to be able to get anybody to understand the situation. How can I be held responsible?
Thanks
I went on this site thinking it was the actual place the tickets were$69 they sold them for $106+ $30 handeling fee royal cost was $285 double the price of the tickets$#*!ing joke
I've had exactly the same experience, extortionist fees, no contact via standard, customer srevice helpline or email. I tried unsuccessfulluy to contact a customer service agent at viagogo and only managed to get an automatic telephone service based somewhere in the UK. I would never use them again... ever. They are listed as a Swiss company and yet have over 100 employees at a facility in Ireland and presumably at other locations in UK. It is not possible to contact them at any of their supposed physical addresses.
What a pack of $#*!s. Ripped off. Tickets advertised on site for $60. Got the two for $120 which turned out to be $170 with the bull$#*! fees.
Dowload the E ticket to find out i got 30 $#*!ing dollar ticket.
I am new to buying tickets online and foolishly did not realize this is a sell on site. They did not state the exorbitant fees until you click 'pay'. Then the event was cancelled so they refuse to return the money. They should be banned from trading
Bought some Human Nature tickets & only after you hit the pay button do you get hit with all the fees. Which totalled about $86.00 plus could have bought tickets on another site heaps cheaper! Not a happy customer & tickets dont come until 3 days before event so what if the post is late! Should have done our homework first!
They say that these are the last tickets for the event but don't make it clear you are buying 2nd hand tickets.
Completely untrustworthy, ended up buying 2 tickets in a bad section for 105 each and then booking fees came to an additional 80. Every other site only charges 10-20 for booking fees. Ridiculous.
My intention was to buy two Santana tickets at $165 each - as per the booking site. The website showed "Currency: AU$ Australian Dollars" An exorbitant $90+ booking fee that was hidden in a General Information tab, was added to the above amount.
The final insult - the amount deducted from my bank account was converted to US$, bringing the purchase from $330 to a whopping $590. This matter has been handed over to my banking credit card department to investigate further. I didn't think that scams of this nature were happening on popular, well visited event sites.
And it appears that the ticket is actually issued but Ticketek - are they aware of this scam. Beware!
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
