The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

Booked two tickets to Adele in Melbs. They were a bit pricey $275 each, the booking/ admin fees seem a bit of a rip off, but after the reviews from the Syd. Show I figured they were worth it. After pops ups and messages on the screen saying only 1% of tickets left I was a bit suspicious this was a ploy to get the desperate people to cough up, and not leave the web site, and yeah they got me as I hurried to buy. After my first CC didn't work a few times I used another and it worked. Later that night I checked out the reviews for Viagogo and 90% of them said this web site was a scam, I was instantly disappointed thinking I've just done my cash. So we spent the next week fretting as I booked the flights straight after I booked the concert tickets.
Anyway, good news! We just walked through the gate and high fives all round!
I have bought a ticket for Adele in Melbourne Sunday march19. Try to download but ticket is for somebody else on sat march 18. Having trouble sending email to company with no success
MY PARTNER WAS CONNED BY BEING TOLD 98% of tickets were sold. Venue says not. Then pressured to buy quickly or miss out. At purchase a pop up blocked the amount of the payment.
She paid a total of $862.37 for tickets that retail for $109.90. She bought 3, so $333. Should be right.
These bandits charged $216.49 per ticket. Then $180.43 booking few then $32.47 handling fee.
She has cried all night. RIPPED OFF AND made to. Feel stupid too. This was our annual treat we are pensioners.
How do these people sleep at night. Lodged a scam with.the bank
We purchased tickets for the Melbourne Storm vs Bronco's game, paying approx $100. When we received the tickets online a few days later they we're 'child' tickets valued at $12.25. They are of no use to us so we put the tickets back up for sale as advised on the website. This was 2 days before the game and they reckon there was only 4 seats left at this time. We expected the tickets would be snapped up! Have heard nothing since... and guessing they resold the seats for the adult price. Not happy and will never book through Viagogo again and advise anyone else not to do so either. Totally ripped off a hundred bucks!
I strongly recommend to stay away from this website. As any professional scammer they look and seem very trustworthy, the website is impressive. When you proceed through checkout you will be misled to believe you are committing to a certain amount, but just till your payment has gone through. Once payment went through the Thank You page will show you how much you were charged. In my case more than double. Now I am spending lots of time trying to cancel the transaction with my credit card.
Searched tickets on line to see Jimmy Barnes. Viagogo come up in the search engine so i purchased tickets with the added pressure of falsely showing a timer of tickets selling out!
Brought 2 tickets in the nose bleed section totals $458, $175 each, $90 booking fee, $17 postage.
Later saw tickets at Ticketmaster for $101... best seats in the house $120! Absolute rip off and in my opinion totally illegal considering my tickets arrived from ticketmaster... is that not scalping.
My husband purchased 3 tickets from Viagogo for the Coldplay concert at Mt Smart stadium in Auckland last year at a cost of over NZ$400. We were thrilled as it was an early Xmas present. Myself and my two sons were happily seated in the stadium when we were approached by an angry family who said we were sitting in their seats. I showed them our tickets and they left. A short while later they returned with officials who told us that we had to follow them to the Management office. It was extremely stressful as we felt as if we we had done something wrong. After a long trek to the other side of the stadium we waited for 10 minutes and were then told our tickets were not valid as they were duplicates and had been sold to us illegally and we would not be allowed entry. Devastated and extremely embarrassed, my sons and I then had to purchase 3 more tickets which luckily were still available from the office and cost us $79 each! Far cheaper than the ones purchased on Viagogo and in near enough the same seats. We missed the two pre acts but thankfully managed to get to our seats in time to see Coldplay. It was a horrible experience, the ticket situation not Coldplay, and one I would not wish on anyone. Viagogo you need to clean up your act and get verification and insurance from every seller who uses your site to ensure that the tickets they are selling are not duplicates. The public has to be protected.
*******410. I was told this # is only given 3 days before a show, hope it helps to anyone that has trouble getting ahold of them like me
Paid them in October 2016 for Broadway show tickets in March 2017. Two days before the show, they wrote that they had been unable to secure the tickets. Tremendous disappointment after having made expensive travel arrangements. They did refund, but for five months they had my money in their bank. Isn't this a scam? I strongly discourage the use of this service. I am writing to all my friends about this terrible experience and asking them to tell their friends to spread the word.
I sold my ticket, sent it to Viagogo to the address they specified, then received an email saying it had arrived with their couriers. Great. Job done... except 2 days before the event I received an email saying they had cancelled the sale and charged me £20! Haha. Then it took me numerous calls to sort it out, costing over £30 (I never saw any sort of refund) on my next phone bill. All because their courier cocked up. Terrible customer service. Very suspect in the way they handled my complaint, I have heard they do it a lot. DO NOT SELL USING VIAGOGO they are terrible, don't just take it from me. Look at the average score on this site. You have been warned.
SCAM! SCAM! Stay away from this company! It does not exist and they know how to cover their butts so you can't even get a refund or get your money back from your credit card company. This company will make sure you get "illegal" tickets that have been sold at another legit company. Meaning, you will be turned down at the venue/concert or whatever you bought tickets for. Also, they tack on fees at the end of your purchase. Paid almost $300 more for tickets that should have only been about $700. You can't even contact the company as all information to contact them is not real. BEWARE! BEWARE!
Viagogo sold me (and according to the venue many others) fake tickets and are now refusing to refund. Their supposed guarantee which they charge dearly for is ridiculously restricted in its conditions; they imply you must wait to receive a report from the venue confirming the fraud, but if you supply this report more than a second after 48 hrs of attempting to enter the venue they instantly back off from their guarantee obligations. Whilst waiting for my report My Account on their website stated they were sorry I had been denied access to the venue, but now are claiming they were unaware of it. Disgusting behaviour
This website is scum. They use hacking software to clean out legitimate ticket websites of tickets. Then they sell them at 3-4 times the original price, or more. If this isn't bad enough they then sell the same tickets to multiple people, so many people get refused at the gates. This company is pure scum, anyone who works for the company is doing the devils work, and should be ashamed to the core. Evil owners are sitting in a fat mansion, living the high life off decent peoples hard earned cashed, shame on them. They would rob they're own grandmothers. One day karma will catch up with them.
Bought 2 x Adele tickets for Sydney Australia. Paid 2 x face value but could not get them anywhere else. We were seated 20m from the stage with unobstructed views and dancing room. Talked to others around us they had either bought on other websites at similar prices to us or pre-sale access through American express at face value. I thought the ticket aqusition process was excellent, tracking and web based assistance if required. We were nervous but they arrived fine. We live in NZ. We have bought French tennis open tickets previously and also had the same experience. My advice is that it is safe, but you pay lots more. If you want it... you pay, but you get it!
I purchased 3 tickets from Viagogo for this years 6 Nation rugby game Wales Vs Ireland in Cardiff. Bought ticket approx 2 months prior to the event and was informed the tickets had been purchased. I was annoyed that the tickets advertised at 89 euro each actually cost me £518 in total but that was the least of my problems. The tickets were a birthday present for a family member and involved people coming from Dubia and Ireland. When tickets did not arrive by 4 or 5 days prior to event i attempted to contact Viagogo which proved to be very difficult. They just don't want you to contact them. Finally got a number of their Limerick office and informed them of my concerns and situation. Nothing to worry about i was informed they provide tickets for all the main events around the world and guarantee delivery. This went on for 4 days until the day of the event when finally at 11am of the day of the game i was informed they would in fact be able to honour their guaranteed delivery of tickets. I almost had a heart attack such was the anger i felt. They should not be allowed to practice this business model as it appears to be either and over priced scam if you receive tickets or a fraudulent scam if you don't.
Thought I bought 5 tickets to Dixie Chicks in Brisbane this March - they took the $1030 from my account and I never received an order or any tickets - there is no number to ring - searched everywhere - I have sent several emails with no answer starting to get worried...
Tickets to Adele were expensive and a scam we were not let in and there is no way to contact them
They are complicit in illegal business
I ordered and paid £466 for 6 tickets to Ariana Gig for this May... i Ordered seats for top tier, right at the side of the stage... Viagogo took my money no problems... and sent me tickets for right at the back of the Arena. 4 very unhappy 12 years old, i got the tickets for my daughters birthday. I emailed Costumer Support, they haven't even replied and this is nearly 2 weeks ago. Shame on you Viagogo you are the lowest of the low, you need closing down. Daylight robbery
What a rip off. Site states that tickets are 190.60 NZD each. After processing the transaction, I am billed 538.99 NZD for two tickets. At no point during the process are you advised of the additional charges.
This is daylight robbery. How can these people get away with this!
I brought a ticket today for a 3 day pass to 17-19 March 2017 Womad Event here in New Zealand for $105.16.in NEW ZEALAND DOLLARS had the invoice stating this. When they send payment been accepted in was in Euro currency of E48.24. Why do this I paid it in NZ dollars. I know the NZ currency the invoice stated this as well This is wrong. I think this company needs looking into. This is wrong they seen to do whatever they like once they have your money been paid by a credit card. Its out of your control once you have given them the Ok.If I find out this is more than the $105.16 I will be chewing your $#*! and your ears for unfair trading. Would you like this done to you I dont think so. Dont do to others than you wouldn't expect to be done to you.
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
