Viagogo Reviews Summary

The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

Parasitic scammers.
March 25, 2017

Literally the most parasitic scammers legally allowed to sell tickets.

Won't respond to questions. Overcharge obscenely.

Instantly dispute any transaction you have made with them via your credit card service. Spread the word let's shut them down.

Paid more than 100% for tickets because of bogus sales, led to believe only few tickets left for Van Morrison In fact tickets still available less than half they took from me. Bring them down,

We purchased two x Adele concert tickets for tomorrow night in Auckland New Zealand and this morning on front page of the Herald Newspaper it stated all Viagogo Tickets are duds and CANNOT be used for entry into the concert. They are not scannable and also hundreds of people have brought the same tickets from the exact same person and that the seats we have paid for are not guaranteed even if we do get in. What can be done? So upset and angry about this.

Surely their way of selling is illegal. Pressure loaded all the way!
I shall seek advice on this. Buying online has a cancellation option within a few days.
Awful seller I will never use again. I feel completely ripped off!

TOTAL SCAM!
March 24, 2017

I bought two tickets to the sydney Justin Bieber show for $150 each to only find out when we got there that the seats were the worst and furthest away and that the people sitting next to us had only paid $80 each for their seats. Along with this rip off the booking fee was also $80. And for what exactly?!?

Absolute rubbish.
March 24, 2017

This website is designed to charge you excessive fees (+$150 on top of tickets). Bought two tickets for nearly more than double the price when advertised on the website as being $155 each. After fees this skyrocketed to $480.

When selling tickets, if you are to cancel, you are still required to pay any fees that would have incurred if you had sold the tickets ($100-$250).

This website is a sham and promotes ticket scalping.

Scam!
March 24, 2017

Tried to get tickets for the Adele Auckland show for the Saturday or Sunday night. Absolute fail!.
Do Not trust this site. My friends and I (5 of us) read the reviews after purchasing the tickets from Viagogo. We are currently trying to get the money to cancel and not go through from the bank.
NZ media is all over this!
I repeat DO NOT TRUST!

My wife bought us two tickets for Mrs Browns Boys in Glasgow in in end of march 2017.
I discovered that they sold her £35.00 tickets for £77 each and had the timerity to charge an arrangement fee of £22.00 each Then £5.90 for delivery by e-mail.
The tickets were bought about 3 months ago and for the last 10 days I have been fighting to get them.
Viagogo are terrified to speak to customers and treat customers like c*ap.
The are almost impossible to contact and answer e-ails with the rubbish answer that if you show is not within the next 3 days basically you can take a hike, then they MIGHT get back to you in 48 hours.
I have to travel over 200 miles to get to the show and this is useless for me.
They then put icing on the cake by using UPS the WORST delivery company this side of the moon.
I think that the two companies are fighitng for the title of being the worst company to deal with EVER.
Do not use either one, stay well clear.
I contacted an other reputable ticket supplier and could have got both tickets for just under £80 delivered by Royal Mail 24 hour recorded delivery instead if over £230 and I still have not got them yet despite being told 2 days ago that they were out for delivery that day I still do not have them.
UPS said the same but for some reason just to delay delivery even more UPS said the package had been detained at Dundee warehouse for some unknown reason.
AS I SAY KEEP WELL CLEAR

Bought tickets for Diana Krall, no mention anywhere of additional £47 per ticket until too late to cancel. Pure deception on the company's behalf. All details did not include this charge until too late

They claimed the tickets were sold, then they claimed they weren't sold due to 'problems with the buyer' a whole THREE HOURS before the event, and tried to charge me 90 quid for the privilege, despite saying on their site that they take 20 quid per ticket (total 40 quid) if things go wrong.
Went through my bank to get the money back because of course there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY to reach them to discuss issues. They told my bank that the tickets never existed, so it was cancelled before ever being sold. Very curious since I ended up using the tickets myself and they were absolutely fine.
Total con - stay away!

Paid $1800 for 3 x $100 tickets to Adele thinking they were premium seats from the Official site as soon as ticket sales commenced. Worst seats in house in belief that premium being purchased. From TV & NZ Herald news reports it appears we have been defrauded in an identical way. VIAGOGO DONT GO THERE

Scammers
March 20, 2017

Sold 3 tickets i had for an rbs six nations rugby match. 2 days after event i get an email telling me they had a problem with buyer and cancelled the sale. Gave me a link to get my useless tickets back and meanwhile i am £300 down. Absolute scammers, I'm sure they sold the tickets and kept proceeds themselves. Do not use this company.

How they behave:
1. They don't tell you conditions of tickets. (ie. Youth pass!)
2. They don't tell you what their fees are above what is quoted.
3. They don't check that tickets they are on-selling are real.
4. They don't give any way of contacting them.
5. Their website uses pressure tactics (tickets being sold before your eyes, so many people looking, reserved sale available for just 9 minutes) - very dishonest

The banks say:
1. Cannot reverse the transaction
2. You must contact them and ask for refund from their cheating (and of course, you can't)
3. Banks find no illegal behaviour
4. Bank advised in my case that I should have seen the "Ad" sign, which means is an advertisement rather than the result of a google search
5. Viagogo are careful not to do anything illegal. (ie. They will bill you once only.)

Viagogo are legally compliant internet cheats. (~ 98% customer dissatisfaction rating)

Who will stop them?

They tell you tickets are in short supply to make you rush into buying. The ticket price seemed ok as i assumed it included all fees-wrong! Price for 3 concert tickets was quoted as £171 but when i got the confirmation e mail it had lept to £248! Ticketmaster still had tickets for 31 when i checked a day later. Totall rip off, dont go near them.

Corrupt
March 19, 2017

Purchased our tickets $ 974.00. Back in November.
Tickets didn't arrive but their tracking system said the had and signed for. Tried to make contact over 3 weeks asking for our e-tickets but only computer generated reply.
Finally spoke to Amanda from viagogo (+44 20 3137 6080) who then said the courier tried 3 times to deliver them to us in NZ. Funny that as NZ post had no record of them at all. I bet these have been on sold.
So here we are in Melbourne without tickets.
Beware this company is a scam. We have already made contact with authorities to look into this.

Thanks for nothing Amanda. How do you sleep at night.

Crap!
March 18, 2017

My mum bought tickets to see Adele in Melbourne tonight, Sat 18/3/17. We were turned away at the gates as, surprise, surprise... they are fake tickets, bought from Viagogo! Ticketmaster told us they are scammers and the federal government of Australia are looking into banning them from their operations. There is no ticket guarantee, there isn't even an active phone number to call them on, all lines are disconnected!
