The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

My daughter bought tickets for a soccer game in Barcelona Spain. When she got there the tickets were bogus. It was impossible to reach anyone at Viagogo either by email or phone either in Spain or the US to handle the problem. When we tried to deny the charge on my credit card, my bank came back weeks later saying that the company wanted documentation that was impossible to provide weeks after the fact (i. E. documentation from a second merchant that the tickets were fake). Terrible, fraudulent company with non-existent customer service. Don't buy tickets from them!
I ordered tickets Sunday night. Realised if I put wrong address on Monday morning. Tried to amend and did everything site told me but it wouldn't update. There is no number to call easily. When you do call they say you can't speak to anyone until 72 hours before performance. So emailed to say couldn't change address... they say they'll get back within 24 hours. Then got mail to say tickets sent. And a then a response to my initial email to them saying they'd been sent unfortunately and couldn't Anne's adddress and I'd not get refund as they weren't obliged to do so. Finally got through to someone who sounded half asleep and he said well we've done what we said and sent tickets and it's basically your problem. Tickets were for Ollie murs concert for sons birthday. So lost £177 and didn't get tickets and nothing I could do! I'll. Ever ever use them and hope no one else does.
Ombudsman should be contacted regarding them as they are rip off. There prices are high as in the last minute they add vat etc when the price without vat is available everywhere. Also on my account they changed currency when i got the order through. Going to do everything to ensure they are stopped.
Bought 2 tickets for a concert last week at Wembley paid over £400 pounds. When they arrived a few days before the event the price on the tickets was £55 there is booking fees and there is extortion, will never use again, very angry.
Bought overpriced tickets from a fictitious "re-seller" 4 days before the event, we were told he wasn't able to ship tickets, and were offered alternate download tickets. We paid more than double face value, and almost 200 for shipping and taxes. No refund of the tickets and 200 for shipping downloaded replacement tickets turned into "commission"
Viagogo rips you off by selling concession tickets at a 3x the face value amount! This webstie is a complete SCAM.
Do not go near this site! They are total scam artists and will just make your life miserable and will leave you out of pocket a lot of money! They need to be shut down immediately and I can't actually believe they are still up and running!
Like others I have been ripped by this company. I have rang consumer affairs and my bank and looked at all the reviews all saying " Don't use this company " so why are they still allowed to operate, the CEO should be locked away. This is theft at its best!
Please do tell friends not to use Viagogo, having had to pay a total of £227.66 then printing tickets off they were from Ticketmaster with another persons name on, and they had the value of £32 each making a total of £96. They must be making a fortune. They should not even have 1 star. Who ever is running that company must be laughing and wondering how he can spend all his money.
I am so upset right now! Please do yourself a favor and stay away from these frauds. They display false advertising and make it seem like you are paying extra for better concert seats, all while putting a sense of urgency to purchase the tickets because they are 'almost sold out'. When in reality, the venue is no where near sold out and the tickets you are buying are simply general admission, with absolutely no special seating! I really wish I had of completed some research, because this is one of the largest schemes I've ever been a part of. I consider myself very smart and in tune with my spirit of discernment, but do not be fooled by these foreign BS schemers. I have been on the phone with credit card company and everything because I refused to pay for this raggedy piece of paper they consider a 'souvenir'. I literally had to wait several days for my special fedex delivered concert 'tickets', only to receive a plain black and white generic copy paper that has the ticket price clearly typed on it at just $50.00 when they sold it for a whopping $122 a piece?!?! I was under the pretense that they were sold out and the seating was better and they listed it as being 'unchallenged amazing view', bull$hit it's just general admission! Are you kidding me right now! Save your time trying to fight for your money back, I argued with the pretend customer service reps at viagogo btw which is out of the country in Switzerland some where, and they very slickly covered.
STAY AWAY FROM THESE FRAUDS, I GOT SCREWED BIG TIME! NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT EITHER, LIFE LESSONS I GUESS!
This set of robbing scum bags dont deserve any stars and should not be allowed to trade.
I paid £360 for 2 Celine Dion tickets including registered security post. They arrived this week via the normal mail and the price on the tickets are £45 each so £90 for 2.
That means they have made £270 for not a lot! I even made the booking on line myself but was charged a £60 booking fee.
Come on that is just ridiculous and greedy. I understand that people need to make a living but I am disgusted with this ridiculous mark up and will never use them again.
Been well and truly had over.
They pressure you and make you feel very uncomfortable by ticking off the time during the whole process of choosing seats and payment. And it's not even the right price. They propose more than original price, sometimes double and triple, and will tell you that delivery of tickets are free until you have to type in your card number for 8 euros' worth of delivery + tax of 25% the tickets hahaha
So briefly saying, instead of buying two tickets that cost 35.20 euros each, you'll pay 252 euros in total:)
I wonder why it still stands. Total thieves.
I am wondering if anyone went to court to get their money back? The CEO is a piece of $#*! that robs customers
They are thieves! I went through a purchase process until they finally displayed the price total (which was more with 60% than the initial price). Obviously I hit cancel. Guess what, they still charged my debit card and now they refuse to give me back my money.
SOLD ME TICKETS PROVIDED ME WITH TRACKING NUMBER KEPT ON SAYING YES SENT YES SENT. I WRANG THE CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER *******2109,
GUESS WHAT NO TICKETS THEY DID NOT HAVE THEM THEY THEN SAID THEY WILL TRY TO FIND TICKETS FOR ME TO COLLECT ( THIS IS FOR A EVENT WHICH IS 20 HOURS AWAY AND ORDERED THE TICKETS 3 DAYS AGO.
DO NOT USE THIS SITE THEY ARE TERRIBLE AND THE PEOPLE ARE IN THE CALL CENTRE ARE NOT EVEN IN THE UK.
Told me they will redirect tickets to my buyer from the seller, but didnt and I ended up with unsold tickets before the concert and had to pay extra "seller charge"... meaning an extra fee, and my tickets being unsold...
It charged me £148.80 for tickets that I bought £49 from Gigantic.
The ticket price was more than double and then there were added costs such as VAT, Booking fee, handling fee.
We're so devastated by this horrible experience. Went all the way to the arena. Stood in the long line in the cold. Only to find out at the security gate that someone had already used our Chris Rock tickets. I hope that a**hole dies a horrible death. It's just not right to put innocent people through this kind of devastating scam. We paid $440 for those tickets which was more than the actual ticket prices. But all sold out so we bought from viagogo without knowing our horrible fate. The worst website ever. I hope viagogo gets hacked and wiped off the face of the cyber planet.
I paid way over the ticket price for 'Category A' tickets and when we got to the venue found that they were in fact 'Category D - restricted view' tickets - they don't answer phones or emails they just duck for cover under their great impenetrable hi-tech system of ripping everybody off. Don't be a sucker like me, make sure you go to the other ticket guys.
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
