The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

I purchased tickets for $173 for my daughter and I to see Body Guard at Regent Theatre. Firstly they've charged me $181. I was told when presenting tickets at Regent Theatre that the tickets are fraud and Viagogo have been on the news for selling fraud tickets. I paid via paypal but they closed my claim saying that I'm not covered. PLEASE PLEASE DON'T purchase anything from this site and certainly don't use PayPal. I'm now in contact with my bank who are looking into it. This is so so upsetting.
Bought 2 tickets for miletrey tattoo, price was a certain amount then when i paid with my visa the amount come to 236 which was so much more than what the total was. I tried to get in contact with them but only an automatic reply. Event arrived and true 3 day before tickets did arrive at the hotel under wrong name and the cost was 25 not the amount we paid. Went to the event they said we had FAKE tickets and if we wanted to go in we will have to pay. I finally got in contact with someone and they said they will give me a refund, but what abut the expensive of the flight and hotel! Will never ever buy from them...
I purchased tickets the did not arrive untill 3 days before concert.
They were held up at a hold depot
I was to find out after several phone calls. I have been charged £40 for the calls as the number is an 084 number
When they did arrive they were the wrong tickets, not the area of stadium purchased, after more calls I was given £80 back now deminished to £40 there phone number is very difficult to find there is no assesability to customer complaints until 3 days before show. OVER A BARELY.
Just received our tickets for Hyde Park Radio 2 who on Sunday paid £458 for the tickets which have a face value of £98 for the two. Absolute rip off. Organisers need to stop Viagogo form purchasing all future tickets. Please protect us from these rip off merchants. They need to be shut down
Baited by - I imagine - false "5 tickets left" messages that seemed to go back up to 10 tickets left later on. Over priced for basic tickets and prices quoted without VAT. Shame on Google for letting them occupy the top spot on the page and shame on whoever runs the company and takes money from the public for a scam. Completely misled as to what was being sold. If only I'd had more time to look, but was in a hurry and thought that the 9:00 deadline fro presales was for VIP tickets, and the elevated price was because of the extras that these involve. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. There are still "9 tickets left" 98 hours later. Go figure.
Ordered tickets to a World Cup Qualifier at embarrassingly expensive price. Refused to provide seating details and horrendous instructions for receiving the tickets. Arrived as instructed, called the number as instructed and provided all the information necessary to receive the tickets,
Nobody delivered or attempted to deliver or call regarding delivery.
Viagogo, with absolutely no proof (I have all the phone records) is stating the seller delivered the tickets.
I will be pursuing this until proper resolution.
This company has no business operating!
DO NOT USE VIAGOGO
This site is a total rip off and scam. I bought gig tickets at nearly 3 times the face value once all their fees etc added in (the original price they quoted was nearly twice face value as well) but the pressure to purchase quickly and bad internet connection made checking the quote impossible.
DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ROBBED
I was excited when I saw that tickets for Royal Ascot were at last on sale. The timer started ticking away telling me that tickets were selling out fast. I didn't want to waste any time and lose the tickets therefore just didn't see the horrendous booking fee and delivery charges. Before I knew it I had agreed to pay and then read the reviews. I feel quite sick. I would like to cancel the credit card transaction but don't think that I am allowed to do that.
I ordered two Sundown tickets for £60 each for the Saturday and had to pay £30 booking fee, as well as £4 extra. This makes my order a total of £154 however, they took £162 out of my account!
When I turned up to the venue they said that my tickets had been already been used and they turned us away at the door! Therefore I wasted £162 on tickets that didn't work!
I have been battling to get in touch, it's a nightmare. When I did find a way to contact them they said they've had no record of my tickets though they had sent an email saying they had sold them as requested, The money, a lot, has gone from my account.
Emails are not accepted and you cannot speak to anyone, DONT use these people.
I feel sick.
Wish I had seen reviews before using viagogo. Sounded ok so purchased 2 tickets. Paid £156 and when they arrived they were £63 for inferior seats. No explanation. For charges When I complained by email because hopeless trying to speak with anyone was told no refunds but. They would resell tickets -and charge me a large fee no doubt. Think their service is appalling - how in the world do they stay in business with such bad reviews. Sally
I was buying ticket for a concert when the final approval window came up and they are charging me all the fees twice, because I'm buying 2 tickets (they aren't delivered separately, so why pay twice?). All the fees add up to what 1 ticket would cost. I press no to confirm the order, but somehow it had already gone through. I complain, but they refuse to give me a refund and tell me I should re-sell the ticket and that there is no fee for me to do that. But to get the money I paid back I would have to charge double for the ticket due to their "Seller fees". Fee free - Yeah right.
Disgusting way to do business - they just take advantage of people.
STAY AWAY!
FRAUDE! FRAUDE!
It is online fraud. Simple as that. You have no recourse when you realise you've been duped. The owners of this business deserve to get cancer. Utter scum.
Their system does not work they do not return calls and they are billing me twice for the same tickets
This is non american site and their technology is terrible
I went to the Coldplay concert in Miami to my disbelief I could get in because someone else used my ticket... I paid almost $400 for a ticket and traveled from another country just to watch my favorite band play... I tried to contact them for a refund but there is no way to do it...
Viagogo shame on you ripping innocent people off. I paid $1139 and $37 booking fee for tickets that were meant to cost a lot less. I still have no tickets! You respond to my emails with vague responses. You sent me two tickets with a different name on them and in a different seating area than chosen. I chose front stage you put me in bleaches. The tickets I was sent cost $203 mmmmm bit of difference. When I complained you took tickets down from my profile. I have no tickets now and I will do everything I can to let the world know how disgusting you. Everyone needs to avoid Viagogo like the plague... SCAMMERS to the MAX
We believed Viagogo to be an official site to sell tickets for The Royal Military Tattoo. After being rushed with false advertising claiming high demand tickets, 3 left etc... we purchased them online for an exorbitant price and fees, three times face value (we found out later). Our receipt read level 5, when we went to pick up our tickets, they were in level 13 and the people at the viagogo pick up location could do nothing about it. We arrived at the venue and were told our tickets were invalid and already used, that these tickets were illegally sold by someone other than an authorised seller of The Tattoo tickets.
I have been contacting Viagogo with all my back up and they refuse to reimburse me for two invalid tickets at a cost of $500.
These people make themselves uncontactable, I lost £60 in a matter of minutes. They charge exorbitant booking fees and after giving you the option to opt out, they still put your purchase through. When you can finally get an email through to them because they don't provide a phone number, they say "too bad, we don't do refunds, but you can sell your ticket to us and lose another £50 in the process". They should be closed down.
Avoid Viagogo. They'll present you with a price and then at the very last step they sneakily add an enormous surcharge on. On the bill I was presented this surcharge made the ticket almost 50% more expensive than the price presented up until that point (they'd been making a big deal of a £63 cost vs £70 others were paying for similar tickets, then charged over £90).
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
