The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

I thought Viagogo were a trustworthy company, they claim to "guarantee tickets 100%", this is a lie. I paid big money for great front tickets to watch the PDC World Darts final, it was a birthday treat for a friend. I have never paid so much money for any tickets, even the booking fee was more than £50! And now they tell me there was a mistake, and my tickets aren't for the front at all, but for tiered seating near the back! Do not trust these people, they are ticket touts, they inflate prices and lie, you will be very disappointed
Do not use this service. I paid too much and was told my ticket was invalid. I want a pound of flesh!
Apart from struggling to get hold of anybody when i'd put the tickets on as paper instead of e-tickets I had a very positive experience selling my tickets through Viagogo. The event was last Thursday and the money went into my account today (8 days later). Would recommend using them x
Booked for a local production of Mama Mia in Nelson NZ and was charged $326.83 for two tickets that were selling elswhere for $49 each. The seats they gave us were about the worst seats in the house.
Although I have no evidence of this, I am sure the charge to my account was something over $100 more than the screen showed during the booking process.
The booking process made it appear that I had just seconds to avoid missing out and this distracted me from what was going on with the charges.
On arriving at the theatre 2 days later I found plenty of spare seats and they kindly allocated us better seats.
Communication with Viagogo is next to impossible. So far all emails have bounced.
This is definitely a service to avoid.
Complete rip off company. Got charged twice the true value of tickets. They hide behind there small print and they cannot be contacted by phone. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid.
Can I speak to your CEO? I wish I'd read these reviews before handing you my money! You're a bunch of thieves... at least $#*! Turpin wore a mask!
I just had my confirmation through the tickets were actually £24.52 each and I paid £48 per ticket disgusting! And you cant cancel never buy from this scam!
Bought tickets in March for a July concert. Tickets did not arrive until about 12 hours before the concert, but I had already purchased elsewhere that day because the Ryman box office said the voucher was a FRAUD. Viagogo promises tickets 3 days before event, but does not send them. Now Amex will not allow my dispute, so I am out the $350+. These people should be put out of business!
Viagogo does not provide refunds for postponed concerts.
I purchased a concert ticket for a concert in Spain, while traveling there on holiday. Unfortunately the concert was postponed (to a later date in 2018 still unknown!) due to the artist being ill. This is fine, artists are human too and it happens. However, a refund is expected. As a regular concert goer, having purchased tickets on many sites and having experienced several cancellations and postponed shows - I have always received a refund from all sites, as your ticket should be guaranteed - guaranteed FOR THE DATE you bought it. I don´t live in Spain, and even if I did, that doesn´t mean that the new chosen date would be a date I could attend. I bought a ticket for a specific date.
First off, it is impossible on Viagogo´s site to get into contact with anyone. Everything is automated on the site and anything you try to click on to get in touch with someone, they just say thank you for your feedback. After trying out a few numbers via a Google search, I finally was able to get a hold of someone.
They told me that it doesn´t matter if the event was postponed and I can´t make it, they do not issue refunds. I have the option to resell the tickets, once a new date is given, AND they will TAKE OUT A FEE for selling the ticket for a postponed concert. They are making me pay to sell a ticket that is no longer valid on the date for which I bought it. A waste of my time, and money, and they want to be paid again - IF I am even able to sell it.
I will never ever ever buy from this site again - you have been warned.
I am astonished that this "company" are allowed to continue advertising on Google. My personal experience with them is pretty much the same as everyone else on here... misleading, grossly overcharged for two ryan adams tickets, tickets arrived with someone else's name on them blah blah blah.
They must be laughing all the way to the bank as they charge for initial sales and seemingly take another huge cut of the profits if you decide to sell your tickets on. Having read of other people getting to the venue and being refused entry I didn't risk the journey ( I am disabled) I cannot believe that these folk are still getting away with what can only be classed as extortion. Minus godbknows how many stars.
I wanted tickets for the Auckland show of Cirque du Soleil "Toruk." When you Google it the top result is for this site called Viagogo, which I assumed was the official site. Turns out that its just a ticket reselling site, and we paid $200 more than face value of the four tickets. I looked again today and there are tickets on Ticketmaster, a bit better (lower) than what we had, for $99 each plus booking fee that is such a rort, those people shouldnt be allowed to do that! Talk about misleading!
Feel your pain. Bought 3 tickets for All Blacks v SA match tonight, showed up to the game tonight with my two kids to be refused entry and told the tickets (issued to someone else) had been 'cancelled'. I have no idea by whom, but they sent us away. Logged onto the viagogo website the minute I got home to lodge a complaint only to be confronted by an automated message saying 'the time allowed to make this claim had elapsed'. It was still only about 20 minutes into the second half of the game!
Shock horror I then actually managed to get hold of someone by phone at viagogo in the UK who of course wanted proof that the tickets were cancelled, which was not possible because the venue don't issue anything you can use by way of proof (despite me asking them for something). They are 'looking into it and will put through a refund if my complaint is found to be valid'.
Not for one minute do I expect that viagogo UK will go to the effort of contacting Tiketek in New Zealand to verify the 'cancellation', so I imagine I'm kissing goodbye $400.
This company charged us $363 for tickets to a tennis tournament and never sent the tickets. They have no customer service, merely internet links that lead to nowhere. We are concerned that we gave these crooks our credit card information and may have to cancel our card. We have alerted VISA and they are looking into this.
This is not a legitimate business but a SCAM and they need to be prosecuted.
This company is disgusting. I purchased tickets for the All Black v South Africa game at a price I thought was reasonable (take note that when you are purchasing they tell you... wrongly. That there are few tickets left!...) then the debit on my credit card showed up at $287.00 more than what the purchase price was! Purchase price $119.00 each... When I tried to resell the tickets (poor health has prevented us from going to the game). I downloaded the tickets to the Viagogo website for resale, but they cancelled the sale and are now in the process of charging me a further $238.00! This company is absolutely appalling. NEVER buy anything from them again... be warned. They are a total ripoff! I want to take them to court... or take this further but am not sure how to go about this... and quite frankly can't afford to. And guess what... they know that and continue to do the things they do. DISGUSTING!
This site is abominable. There is no way to communicate with anyone. They are just players who think people won't pursue getting their money back. Shame on them.
I was pushed into buying the tickets like most customers I was charged £230 for 2 tickets to see Depeche mode when it was offering at £68 per ticket so fee and costs £100 more than stated of course I new nothing of any fees till after when I was pushed into buying them I rang the bank and they couldn't stop the payment>
Later on I listed my tickets for re sale I was under the impression id be refunded asap so I listed them and some one brought the tickets the next day I thought ok ive lost the fees but at least I will get ticket prices refunded but I later found out id not get my money back until weeks after the actual concert ( again viagogo didn't state this at the time)
So I re directed the tickets straight to the buyer rather than ship them >
I got a email to say the tickets had been delivered to the buyer.
And id get my money 2 weeks after the concert.
I now have had an email off viagogo to say my tickts are canceled and ignore any of viagogos emails.
Basically ive been ripped off no tickets to see Depeche mode and no refund
Ive lost £230 im furious
Please don't use them I wish id of read this reviews more closely >
Im not gonna bother trying to email them by looks of it everyones been ripped off
I uploaded tickets for a concert and I made an error in the date (by one day). The tickets sold within 5 hours and I hadnt noticed the error. I immediately wrote to them to tell them the error and to change the date of the tickets. They said fine no problem just cancel the order and make a new one. I called them (and its virtually impossible to find their number!) specifically to ask 'wont this incur a fee if I cancel instead of amend?" they said no its fine because you are uploading the correct tickets. I kept getting automated messages saying I would be charged if I didn't upload the correct tickets so I called them again and they said its fine its just the automated system 'going through the motions'. 3 days later I got charged £72 for tickets worth £130. When I questioned it they wrote to me and said 'customer service has no control over the automated cancellation system, we cant do anything about it.
Lying bunch of thieves.
Bought 2 baseball tickets,. Was told I would receive them no later then 3 days prior to the game. 1-1\2 hrs before game time the appeared in my e mail. If that is the correct time. Takes me 2-1/2 hrs to get there. Missed the game, lost my money. Complete rip off company. StAy away at all costs. Hope this company goes $#*!en broke for ripping people off. Piece of $#*! $#*!en UK company.
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
