The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. Can anyone offer any help? I bought 2 tickets in June for the Foo Fighters in Virginia 14th October, to have just received an e mail from Viagogo saying tickets are no longer available from the seller! Also told "dont worry! You can choose alternatives which of course aren't available! Sent them numerous e mails asking for clarification with no response. It does offer a refund but didnt want to risk it just yet in case alternatives do become available? Wish I'd read the reviews before booking through them:-(
Misleading the public to think they are official sellers. I was overcharged £250 and no breakdown - only just realised they had scammed me and I called my bank and they are fully aware of this company. They receive complaints all the time about them so am now seeking legal advice.
Bought Elton John tickets for Mackay 5 months before concert!. Ordered "best available" seats and paid AU$250 each. At the concert found out their original price was AU$99 each! And literally in the back row. Viagogo priced them at AU$194 + booking fee $54 + handling fee $2. Trying to contact them is a joke. If not fraud then certainly extortion - STAY WELL CLEAR!
I have been mugged completely. I ticked the box that states "ALL TICKETS MUST BE SOLD TOGETHER" then i get an email saying that I've sold 2 of my tickets and i have to give them over or else i have to pay more than i would be getting from them. I am a student so i don't have a lot of money, i physically can't pay for this. THEY ARE SCAMMERS! I am going to file a claim but as i have read here a lot of people have lost money or had similar experiences. If you want to get your money back then sue them with me. I am absolutely gutted and so angry.
My experience is similar to most. My tickets (which I paid four times what I should have) were turned away at the gate. I received a letter of denial from the event. I tried mailing it to the address I was given but the letter was returned unopened. There is no way to attach it to their text box on-line and I cannot get past the automated answering machine by phone to talk to anyone. I have spent hours trying to get through to these people. My advice to anyone is to just stay away from this company.
Hi
I write this in order for other people to not to have to experience when buying form viagogo. I bought tickets approximately 25 days before the event took place through Viagogo. They just send me an email confirming the sale and said the tickets will be available for delivery 3 days at least, before the event. They never contacted me unless I reached them through their site asking for the status of my tickets. Even the day before the event took place I contacted them and they told me I was fine. 4 hours prior to the event they emailed me saying the seller was not able to deliver and that they had tried to get me similar tickets but couldn't. They will refund me the money in 10 days and that's it.
I had travelled to Vegas, paid for airline tickets, hotels, and all the regular expenses a trip has to see the fight Canelo vs golovkin and because of bad luck I chose an unprofessional reseller, Viagogo, who didn't deliver and was not even worried about it. They did refund the money like a week after the event took place but I just wanted people to know that this site is not trustworthy.
I hope this review helps.

As you can see from all over the Internet these low life scammers are disgusting and money grabbers. Lost £400 because tickets didn't come in time for performance and their response was nothing we can do not our problem. Want to sue these scumbags. Never been so disgusted in my life.
ViaGoGo is a complete rip-off and fraud. Purchased 2 x tickets to full day (1200-1800) at Oktoberfest for Sunday Sept. 17th. I received tickets less than a week before departure. I found out when arriving in Munich that the entry bracelets we received were actually only good from 1500-1800 (AFTER arriving at our tent with my wife!). ViaGogo offered apologies and refund of 100 on a 490.00 purchase and I rejected demanding a full refund or ½ at minimum.
Gets worse and more insulting though. We did get into our tent at 1500 and met 2 other Americans who has also bought on ViaGoGo. We ended up being the only four people at a table set for 10 people and the tent organizers said all dinners had been pre-made based on 10 people per table and we were asked to pay for 3 additional dinners and desserts each!
After fighting back and forth (easily a dozen email and web exchanges), ViaGoGo made final offer of 175 which I have no choice but to accept and as we were forced to pay by cash for the extra dinners they would not refund this additional money either.
Absolute BS. STAY AWAY, DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM! Thieves
Showed up to the event and was told my tickets were already used. This company doesn't deserve one star. SCAM!
Has anybody every received tickets that were valid?
I rang HSBC to try to stop payment. To no avail and the phone number they put on the transaction is not recognised.
Tickets aren't even real on it. Not only are you being charged for fake tickets but they add fake fees aswell which is absolute crap. Got scanned over £800...
Absolute rip off! They added £80 of booking fees and vat AFTER I had confirmed my payment! So so angry, and their customer service is awful and have not replied to my email!
Buys out all tickets available for anything that is in demand. Continues to sell those same tickets immedietly x5 of the original price. Hearing the name of this website makes me vomit.
This is the worst site ever! We were sold cancelled tickets to Book of Mormon in Melbourne. They put "buyers" in touch with "sellers" and you will not know if your tickets are good until you get to the event. Awful experience. We were tuned away, show was sold out. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
Totally disreputable business exchange! Tickets are barely worth the paper on which they are printed. Any other exchange will cost far less than tickets offered through this company. I am so sorry I clicked on this cite for purchasing tickets to see The Great Gatsby Ballet in Zagreb. Looking forward to the performance, but I hate that I was ripped off by such charlatans!
I have never EVER experienced a company being so completely ignorant to its customers. Even when the customer service agent agrees to being wrong, they do not care to make right.
Bought ed sheeran tickets and they're not valid and they don't refund them. Stay away from these f*ckers!
I recently purchased tickets to see Paul McCartney in Sydney after we were unsuccessful in securing then for the NZ concert. Whilst I expected there to be a difference in pricing given location and late purchase I was very disappointed when receiving my emailed tickets that our total purchase price for two of A$1,201.68 represented ticket costs of A$172.15 each. I queried this on three occasions but was informed that:
QUOTE
As we're a ticket marketplace for people to buy and sell tickets, the person selling the tickets sets the price when they list them. The price they set may be over or under the face value which is what the event organisers print on the ticket you receive.
The name on the tickets will also be that of the seller as obviously they are the ones who originally purchased the ticket and that's the name the event organizer has printed on them. Although your own name may not be on the tickets, they are perfectly fine and valid to use.
To help buyers know what the face value is and so they can decide if they want to pay what the seller is asking for, it is a requirement that all sellers input the face value before they can list. This allows us to provide the range of face values for that particular event so you can decide if you're happy to pay the prices asked by the sellers. This information is visible on the event page directly under the listings. Mobile devices and certain browsers display an 'Information' symbol (a blue 'i') next to the event name where this info is viewable. The information provided shows the face value and also any other important info relating to that particular event such as age restrictions etc. The face value info appears something like this:
Prices are set by sellers and may be lower or higher than face value. Prices exclude booking and delivery fees (applicable by transaction). Original face value price per ticket (excluding fees) is shown here. The full breakdown of the charges are also displayed on the 'Review Purchase' page just before you click on 'Buy Tickets' but if you need to see this information you can see it by going to your Purchases, and clicking on 'View Details' under the total price paid.
Needless to say that we feel ripped off and have duly advised Viagogo that we will not be using them ever again
Not sure how this company is still operating. Where is consumer affairs, or the government. Sign the change.org petition to get them off google
I wish I would have looked at the star rating prior to book our tickets. Iwould not have gone near. We bought reasonnably expensive ticket: £: 500.00/person to see the Rolling Stones in Lucca, Italy. I tried to found out if that so called Golden row had seats or not. They reply that they were unable to found out, from the italian officials!?!?
When we received the tickets, it was written in Italian quite clearly, that we had standing tickets and not seating, we do not speak italian, but it does not take a professional translatar to work it out! So they did know all along but purposely did not disclose the information! In addition to this, they over sold tickets, so the direct consequence was: WE STOOD LIKE SARDINES HAVING BEARELY 20cm of DIAMETER TO STAND: PEOPLE WERE FAINTING LEFT, RIGHT AND CENTER DUE TO THE EXTREME CLAUSTROPHOBIA. An experience to be never repeated, despite the excellent show from the Stones.
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
