Don't us this company. I brought 3 tickets for Aladdin $75 per each tickets. I paid $527 in total was mostly fees. I've tired to contact them, how do you get into with them. I want refund for all the fees.
I got 2 pink tickets today. They added $110 each to the advertised ticket price. I found their t&C's https://www.viagogo.com/au/Help/Buyer/11
So you don't know this when you feel rushed to buy Tix but they add taxes delivery and all sorts of hidden fees. Read the t&C's it may help you get $$ back because if you're refused entry the seller does not get paid. Get proof you were denied entry ( hopefully venue would verify) and report to viagogo within 14 days otherwise their buyer guarantee void. Consumer affairs reckon that tickets are still too new to be fake so don't think I'll be turned away but won't count on it. Order summary does not have seat numbers which worries me. I'll ring venue Monday. Still angry over inflated prices though. It's just not worth it
I want my money back
4x Pink Tickets@ $336 ended up costing me $1771. 09 with hidden charges I didn't see.
I feel tricked into purchasing Pink tickets through a website that I thought was ticketek. Scammers are scum. How can they continue to rip off people?
After reading all the negative comments from other angry and dissatisfied victims I realise I will either get no tickets for my money or will be declined at the venue by having invalid tickets. I have been to my bank and the fraud squad is dealing with this now. I hope others will do the same so we can put an end to these scammers.
Just like what everyone's saying. Ticket price is complete rip off. I let it slide though. But yesterday, I received an e-mail from them saying that Ed Sheeran's concert in Hong Kong on November 5 was postponed WITH a disclaimer stating that I cannot refund my tickets as the concert was only postponed and not cancelled. I want to get a full refund of my ticket because it will be impossible for me to fly back to Hong Kong for the new concert dates. The thing is, there is no way to properly contact their customer service! It's so impossible to exchange e-mail with them when needed. CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS! Another option I saw on their website is to resell my tickets, but I learned that they charge you with selling fee. HOW IS THAT FAIR? You get your ticket overpriced, you can't refund, you can resell but there's still additional fee. This company should shut down. They're manipulating their customers with their evil scam.
I purchased 2 tickets to see Linkin Park and Friends (a celebration of Life) from Viagogo. The tickets were very overpriced at nearly $400 USD each (quadruple the face value). I was told that I would receive the tickets a few days before the event. I contacted them on 2 occasions to see if I could get confirmation of my tickets. They replied and confirmed that they contacted the seller and my tickets were still in good standing. Now, 10 days before the event, they sent another email saying the tickets are no longer available. They still have my money and I have nothing! They have NOT refunded me my money and I have to go to another vendor to purchase tickets. NEVER EVER use this company. It is a fraudulent organization. They lied about having tickets when they have none to this event. Major SCAM!
Not happy, they add on huge amount after to get tickets. Be smart and look around to other sellers. I will never use these guys again
When purchasing tickets, not sure if they are valid now after reading reviews, i was charged and EXTRA A$300 on top of ticket prices.
I brought a tickets and was in rush trying to get the last tickets for the same area my friends has. Another site, that selling tickets locally, was not updated with the info for my area, probably because of the holidays, it was shown as NA.
So i agreed to pay a little more anf buy via gogo, but the fee of almost 30$ shown only after i entered card details and approved the payment.
In the end the real price for the ticket i received is 60$.
But the sum i spent on viagogo is 140$. This guys took 80$ to the pocket. Good job.
No cancellation option, of course. Buy other place, guys, for not feeling as useless and used douchebag as i feel now.
THEY ARE SCAMMERS! THEY SOLD ME TICKETS FOR AN EVENT THAT DID NOT OCCUR AND DID NOT RETURN MY MONEY OR ANY EMAILS OR PHONE CALLS. BIG TIME SCAMMERS.
Complete rip off. Can't believe i fell for this. I foolishly bought tickets for David Essex on 20 Oct and paid £163 for two with a face value of £112. That in itself I could just live with but went to SSE Arena website and they are actually selling the same tickets at face price of £112 for two. Huge schoolboy error as you should always check with event place first. Ah the power of wisdom.
Purchased four tickets for Roger Waters Concert in Oslo. When delivered I found that these TICKETS could be bought at price market next door with Ticketmaster at half the price. Ended up paying EURO 740 when the same TICKETS could be bought at EURO 310. Rip off or fraud? Let is boycot Viagogo! YOU END up feeling like an idiot! And customer support consist of prewritten questions and answer letters. Appauling.
I listed a ticket for sale on Viagogo, then took it down the next day before it sold because a friend was interested in buying it from me.
The day of the concert, my ticket worked fine, but the ticket previously listed on Viagogo, didn't work. Apparently, it had already been scanned (aka someone was already in the concert hall with that same ticket)
I didn't receive any money from Viagogo, because my ticket wasn't sold. But I, however, couldn't use the ticket anymore, because it had been used... So I lost a ticket (and money!) just by listing it on Viagogo!
Bought 4 tickets online each 85 GBP. When delivered i found that price marked on the tickets is 40 each. Total scam.
Purchased 3 tickets in January for Coldplay. Tickets were supposed to be uploaded no later than 3 days before the event... 3 days before the event, NO TICKETS! Emailed customer support and they assured me I would receive my tickets before the event. I sent several more emails and received the same response that I would receive the tickets before the event, (you can't actually speak to anyone). Got to the event still no tickets. Received an email from customer support at 7.00p.m. Stating that they could not fulfill my order and would give me a refund. One member of our party flew in from Utah for the event. Do not use this company unless you want to be disappointed and ripped off. Worst experience ever.
I assumed that U2s concert in Santiago, Chile in October 2017 would be a sell out in minutes and not having a Chilean ID to purchase tickets online, I looked for people selling general pre-sale tickets on other sites. I found viagogo for the first time and entered the concert name and venue and that I wanted two tickets. The price of $149,000peso came up but didn't say it was for one or two tickets anywhere so I assumed it was for two. I thought that was quite fair converting to my NZ dollars so proceeded to the checkout. Right up until I hit the purchase button it said my total purchase price was $149,000peso, but as soon as I clicked purchase there were all these other extra costs. I ended up paying $1280 NZ dollars for tickets that should have cost $335.00. Please somebody take this arsehole to court. I feel totally defrauded of hundreds of dollars I never agreed to pay.
I should have known I was being ripped off when the actual seats were not displayed. The taxes were added in and the tickets are ridiculously expensive but the site is very clever and looks like you are purchasing from an official site. The tickets arrived in another person's name. I have contacted Viagogo but not really expecting customer support. Definitely do not buy from this company! You feel like an idiot!
Bought a concert ticket for son. Ended up as a dowmloadable eticket paid double for. The name on it was another person and says on ticket not for resale. So I cannot use it at venue as I have already asked and they are doing ID checks. Viagogo only suggested reselling so they get more fees again and the same ticket doing the rounds to everyone. Imagine how much they are making. They wont reind or put my name on. I have reported them to action fraud which is basically the police. Would have put no stars but cannot do it
UPDATE
Today got a telephone call from viagogo promising my money for reselling the ticket. I think is is because I reported them to action fraud and kept emailing them with what was going to happen if I did not receieve a refund or payment for a resold ticket. Keep at them then you may get a refund too Would never buy from them again. I did advise they put on the website you will be buying a ticket with someone elses name on
I can believe what I have just seen, my tickets arrived after I was lead to believe that I was buying tickets directly and sitting a lot closer to the stage! I have found to have paid £120 extra for tickets and sitting way back in the floor stalls! The tickets have also arrived in another persons name! I am so upset! Totally ruined this event for me... I actually am really upset on how a business can actually be allowed to operate and no one is able to step in to manage them!
Total price paid for two tickets for NFL game at Wembley was 4 or 5 times the face value (which was never disclosed during the purchase process of course.)
Tickets were good and arrived on time but I am so disgusted at the markup of price I can't give more than one star. Will never use Viagogo again.
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
