Viagogo Reviews Summary

The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

Do not use this company!
I paid $1,014.82 AUD for 2 tickets for the 'State of Origin' in Perth Australia, then having received tickets costing only $165.00 ea (Total $330.00 AUD) and NOT where I wanted the seating (Cheap seats it seems).

It seem this Company charges approximately TWICE the price of a ticket that is really worth. I. e. $684.82 AUD profit by viagogo. Viagogo should show what they charge their clients whether it be % or set cost (DUTY OF CARE)

If I can give a - 5 star, I would and I will continue to pursue this including spreading this on SOCIAL MEDIA and contact the ACCC. I suggest everyone do the same!

There is a reason this company is rated 1 star, honestly worst ticket sellers I have dealt with. Do not buy tickets from this company, they will take no accountability once they have your money.

My tickets arrived later that advertised by 3 days which ended up costing me way more in travel arrangements as I had to be home to sign for them and could not cancel my pre-arrangements. The ticket was not the same ticket as advertised, but they said it's an equivalent ticket so it does not matter. They lied about the face value of my ticket and refused to give me a refund. Customer service do not care and only give you scripted responses. Be warned tickets could arrive as late as on the day of the event and it may not be the same seating on the ticket you ordered, as long as they see it as equivalent they will not refund you. Never buying tickets from this company again and I will warn everyone I know about the bad experience I had with them.

Scam, STAY AWAY
June 20, 2019

Recently bought tickets for the Tony Robbins performance on September 3rd 2019. Realized after I bought the ticket that we got overcharged by more than AED 3000 for 2 tickets. Later found out that Viagogo is not even authorized to sell tickets, they just quote you a crazy prize and if you fall for it like we did they buy normal tickets from an authorized ticket agent at the published price. Be very CAUTIOUS if you see the Viagogo name anywhere

Hello, because of my stupidity, I and their "legitimate" looking site, I purchased "last minute" tickets for the lord of the dance. I received the tickets today, their value was HALF the price these scan artists stole from me. I understand if there was a basic commission, 10-15, even 20%, but these a$$h0le$ charged me 97 for tickets of 40.
Again my stupidity for not researching a bit more, but a lot stupid Russian "UK" FUKCRZ" going around. BEWARE...

DON'T USE VIAGOGO!
June 13, 2019

These people are thieves. I went online searching for JLo tickets here in Phoenix and the first ad I see is from Viagogo.

I went to their site and paid $1300 for what I was told were premium floor tickets. Little did I know that the tickets weren't even on sale yet.

Viagogo is charging a premium to put you on a waiting list for when the tickets do go on sale. I ended up getting tickets way in the back of the floor section that I could have bought directly from Ticketmaster for a third of the price. I could have had front row tickets for what I paid!

Buyer beware! They also don't offer refunds so you're stuck. Their gimmick is you can resell the tickets on their app if you're unhappy, but their app crashes when you try to log on it!

Total gyp! Save yourself trouble and money and go with any other ticket seller.

French Open Tickets
June 11, 2019

I had 2 extra tickets for French Open at Roland Garros as my daughter couldn't come to Paris. Put those tickets on sale using Viagogo. One ticket was sold in a matter of minutes and second one in a few hours. There were 2 same tickets bought from French Open official site. I have received an email that everything is fine and I will receive my money in 8 business day. Next day (1 day before the event) I received an email saying that second ticket was not valid and I am not going to receive any money for that and on the top of that because customer suffered damages they are going to fine me with $500 in order to compensate the customer. On the premises of Roland Garros I checked with official ticket service and was told that both of my tickets were used for the given event.
This company is really stealing money from both buyers and sellers. It is pure crime in action and is going unpunished.

My wife purchased tickets from the French Open for my 50th birthday. She called multiple times before we departed Seattle, Wa because the Tickets had not been uploaded. We arrived in Paris June 7th and called them at 10pm, 2am, 5am and again at 10am and 11am on June 8th since as the tournament started at 11am. Tickets were still not uploaded and they had no answers. We couldn't go to the French Open and had flown all the way from Seattle. They had taken our money back in November 2018 and couldn't deliver. I'm going to look at SUING them for lost expense, aggravation, and heartbreak given my wife's wonderful gesture. Worst customer service experience of my life. I told everyone I met today about this horrible company and will continue to do so.

I would give 0 stars if I could! Ordered tickets for a cricket match and according to our online account those tickets should have been sent out by May 31 at the latest. Today is June 4 and no tickets in sight. Calling them results in them claiming they are having problems with UpS, then claiming they don't have a tracking number, then they refuse to give us any information. They also refuse to put us through to a manager, sometimes claiming they don't have managers, sometimes saying the managers are busy, sometimes staying they are not allowed to put us through. They haven't even suggested to refund the money, an absolute scam!

I was so excited to see India Arie and viagogo showed up as the first search option for tickets. I don't go to concerts, so it never occurred to me that this was a third party site and may not be trustworthy. I sped all the way to the concert, parked a mile away because I had spent all my money on the ticket and power walked to the venue. I could hardly wait for the concert. But I couldn't get in. My ticket was invalid. I talked with the box office and they couldn't do anything unless I wanted to buy another ticket, but I couldn't do it. There were 2 other people who were experiencing the same problem with viagogo at the other box office window. I walked back to my car and called viagogo. Thankfully they refunded the money but it will take 2 weeks to get it back. But I missed the concert. And I never want to go to concerts. Thanks for nothing Viagogo.

I purchased tickets in February for a soccer championship game in Portugal on May 19. First, here in the US, we are used to having tickets emailed to us, or, mailed right away. Viagogo informed me that they would not be mailed until a few days before the game. We were already going to be in Portugal and did not know where we would be every day so we could sit around waiting for the delivery. Viagogo did not seem to care. I booked a hotel in Porto for the game night and they were nice enough to accept delivery for us. I spend $300 on train tickets for 5 of us to get from Lisbon to Porto for the game. We arrived in Lisbon on 5/15 and thank God I checked my email that night. Viagogo emailed that the game was now on Sat., 5/18! I stayed up until 2am trying to find a hotel for SAT instead of SUN. I could not get our money back for our original Sun hotel. I had to purchase new train tickets since ours were non-refundable. When I was telling our driver for our day trip about what happened, he was very confused because he said the game date had been changed back in March. Why did I not get notified until 3 days before the game? The first 2 days of my vacation were so stressful instead of relaxing. I called Viagogo when I got back asking them for a reason, and they gave me some BS about them being notified by the Seller. After reading some of the reviews, I guess I should feel lucky that I even received my tickets! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Scam website
May 29, 2019

First tgwy purchase tickets and sell them at a huge premium to sports fans. Later draconian deadlines and worst customer service and horrible website interface they make it near impossible to resell or relist your tickets. We lost $1,500 in tickets purchasing with these people. I recommend never ever to use this website, they are a scam business. Buy directly from the tournament or do not go.

Bought tickets for a baseball game in Osaka, Japan and they were for the wrong night. I called back within minutes to correct the mistake and the only way that they could help me was to ask me to list my tickets for sale and buy others. There is no 'grace period' and no customer service here. In addition, I subsequently learned that the tickets were far more expensive than alternatives. Find a better way folks!

I bought tickets to Mark Knopfler's May 30th concert at the Resorts World Arena from Viagogo last November. They charged me £484.98 for 3 tickets with a face value of £63.35 each! The tickets are clearly marked 'The resale of this ticket is prohibited' and 'ID checks may be conducted on entry'. The tickets are also marked with the name of the original purchaser. I contacted the venue and they confirmed that Photo ID WOULD be required and if the original purchaser was not present we would be refused entry. These tickets were in fact worthless to me. Viagogo refused to provide a refund so I have referred the matter to my Credit Card providers disputes team. Moral of the tale: DON'T BUY TICKETS FROM VIAGOGO, THEY ARE A CON!

Ive contacted my back as paid for by credit card and bank said they have issues with this site alot. But that if you complain properly to bank they will get money back for you! If you read viagogo website they specifiy not contacting your bank they know they will have to pay money back. Everyone complain to your bank if you have issues with this scam website

Scammer
May 27, 2019

Bought French Open tickets in March suppose to receive May 25, still don't have them. I have called and emailed a number of times, nothing gets resolved. Keep getting they are escalating but nothing happens. If you go on website, same type tickets are being sold but for some reason they won't give me those. A rep named DYLAN was very rude and others just unhelpful. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY, I plan to followup with cyber security for fraud. Don't deserve one star, should be minus hundreds

Total rip off!
May 26, 2019

Bought two tickets to the French Open in Paris, at a very marked up price, two months ago from Viagogo. Received an email inviting me to download my tickets. Noticed they had someone else's names on them. Contacted Viagogo and was told they "would take care of it". Sent me another invitation to download tickets. Same misinformation on tickets. Went to Viagogo website to find out why, and read that incorrect names wouldn't matter at venue. Not true! My son and I were refused entrance and I am out $750! Roland Garros told us they would be initiating a class action lawsuit so this doesn't happen again. Too late for us, unfortunately.

Worst experience buying a ticket. After researching dozens of tickets on several sites, I had the misfortune to use Viagogo. I chose ticket based on arena map. Boy, was I screwed. Map was wrong, ticket is behind stage. Two emails later, it appears they have an automated customer service with generic responses. First, "yes, you received the ticket you ordered", then "if you're not happy with ticket, feel free to relist". NEVER do business with Viagogo, unless you can afford to waste your money.
