The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

Vreselijke praktijken.
This is NOT a trusted site. Look at all of the reviews! There's even a petition on Facebook which is being sent to the Swiss Embassy for Victims of Viagogo.
Please buy your tickets straight from the venue or the ticket outlets the venue accepts. This is one of the worst, badly run business's I have ever come across. They must spend more money paying to be on the top links on Google than they make in sales. Disgusting way to run a business. What they fail to realise is that they're playing with peoples dreams. People who save to see their idol. Mums and dads making their child's dream come true and so on.
If they were in the UK they'd be shut down immediately, having as many bad reviews as they have
I clicked on 1 star because it's compulsory, in reality I would give them nothing. I bought 2 tickets for Simple Minds concert originally planned for March 2020 but cancelled and rescheduled a few times with a final date for May 2nd 2022. However the link provided by viagogo never worked and I couldn't download the tickets. I sent numerous e-mails and got standard e-mail answers in return, the usual blah blah. Finally managed to contact them on the 29 April by phone where I was reassured that the link would be activated and tickets available rapidly, no luck. I rang again twice the following day and got fobbed off again, they were "working"on it. Finally rang today (the concert is tomorrow) and got more or less the same responses as well as being told that replacement tickets would be available. Had no sooner hung up than an email arrived to say my tickets weren't available and neither were replacement tickets. I am now hoping for a refund. However viagogo still have tickets for sale for this same concert on their site. They are liars, thieves and frauds. They keep you hanging while having absolutely no intention of providing tickets. Their CS staff are no better, they go along with this scam whilst pretending "to check" your details, events etc. How this company is allowed to operate is beyond me, they should be brought up for fraud. They use and abuse people's wishes. A total scam. Never again.
I bought soccer match tickets for a Sunday afternoon, and was planning my family weekend trip. Going online to reserve a parking spot, I couldn't find a trace of a match happening that day... instead on Monday night.
Called the customer service, who insisted that the "event organizer" has not updated them about a re-schedule. All they say is "re-sell your Sunday afternoon tickets, for Monday evening prices".
Never again. Stay away from Viagogo.
I have now been scammed by both sites. British Open tickets and now Benfica football tickets. Paid for both tickets and received neither. Both sites are an absolute scam. Customer service is nonexistent. Avoid the headache and fraudulent purchase
I sold one Coachella pass on this site and it was one of the most difficult processes I have ever gone through. I was attempting to ship my pass and ran into a shipping label issue where it was unavailable because of the buyer changing the address. It took 2 days to solve the issue and after that, I had to create my own shipping label. I sent it and then was notified I shipped via the wrong courier but was never instructed or given any reason to believe USPS was not a viable option. Will definitely never sell on this site again.
As a business professor, consultant in Texas, this is one of the worst businesses I have ever encountered. After 8 months of buying a ticket, I did NOT receive it. Called and emailed Viagogo and always received the same scripted response, "we can't do anything until the seller does something." Consumers: Get your ticket(s) elsewhere! Otherwise you'll lose over USD450 as I did.
I purchased tickets to an event that was cancelled. There was no make up date, it was just a full cancelation. I contacted Viagogo several times and each time they would say they were processing my refund.
Fast forward several months and now they are saying they will not refund me, but they will allow me to sell the tickets with no processing fee on their site.
YES Sell the tickets to an event that didn't happen, and wont happen ever. How much do you think I can get for those do you think?
Total scam of a company. NEVER purchase from them, they literally steal your money.
DO NOT BE FOOLED! Viagogo appeared first in search online, over main booking site leading me to believe they were reputable, when they charged me $177.60 for 2 $39 tickets to see Van Gogh at the Lume in Melb, assuming we had VIP tickets, that at door costed $71 we needed to sort it through box office on site and go to rear of the line, a disgrace I would strongly recommend nobody purchase anything from these scammers *******@live.com
DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE Had to click one star as site makes you rate them when in fact one star is way to much ripped off
Purchased John bishop tickets etickets downloaded different seats, cheaper and in someone else's name. Customer service none existent, no help and keep stating none refundable
Utterly refuse to help in the event of any problems. Postponed an evert for 2 years and refused to help replace physical tickets with e-tickets. Avoid at all costs
Purchased six nations tickets 2 weeks before the event only to be ket down the day before the event and no offer of alternative tickets. We had booked train tickets and taxi and day off work but they were not interested at all in compensation - overall a poor experience Richard
I purchased tickets to a concert well in advance and they were cancelled and refunded 4 days prior to the event for no reason. I called and asked why this happened and they were not able to provide me with a reason or help me at all. DO NOT USE!
I got tickets to the eagles in Tampa, they took days to deliver them. Went to the event they would not horror them and said they were not real. I ended buying tickets from the event at a much higher price.
Don't ever use them they are a scam.
I bought two football tickets, they issued E-tickets, but when we went to the venue, ticket controllers said the QR are completely in wrong format and same sits are sold many times. I tried to call them no answer.
Tickets controller told us they see many people in each match buying these fake tickets.
I had to cancel my CC just in case they take more money from my account
I am beyond frustrated with this company. First I was gouged on the price, but didn't know that till later. When my event was cancelled 3 times I asked for a refund. Well, forget that! I was told I could sell my tickets but good luck finding an area in their website to do that! I've asked for help multiple times, but of course, I've gotten none. If I could get to everyone trying to buy tickets on this disreputable website I would. If the company would just respond! I'm in the US and a company like this with such poor customer support would be out of business in no time! They offered me an opportunity to rate my recent experience. Too bad there's no black stars to do this! Buyer beware! Go someplace else!
Just tried to get tickets from them. They are charging 149 pounds for tickets that cost 22 from the venue and other sellers. Beware they are a con
I purchased 3 tickets from here for my little girls birthday. I kept contacting customer support to let them know I was not able to download them. They continued to send me link after link to download my tickets with unfindable links to actually do so. I'm furious with this company, the money & time I lost, and the emotional distress on my daughter's birthday.
I was purchasing tickets from the venue and was redirected to viagogo's dodgy website by a bot.
Ignorantly, I persisted assuming I was buying from the venue.
When I received my ticket I realised I had paid over $500 for a $70 ticket!
I wrongly assumed again that I was purchasing Premium Tickets.
Please save yourself the trouble and check with the venue.
They have little to no recourse, refund policy, or contact for returning tickets.
This is nothing but a scam that has legitimized itself.
Please vote with your feet and stop this ridiculous business model...
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
