I shop for a living and every time I do a big shop (like 15 items) on Vestiaire and i am super excited about my items. Sellers have great things to sell BUT BUT BUT without fail every time i shop something happens and I CAN NOT get ahold of any one in customer service. The way they have set up the system - the way they taunt you and treat the customers like crap - the robots you have to go through - VESTIAIRE IS A HORRIBLE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE! I just did a big shopping on the site last week and again - super super frustrating because they did something and i can not talk to anyone to fix it. I get so angry that i need to take a break for a few months and not shop on there... after a few months i forget how awful it was and i shop again on there because i see items i like and the same awful experience again.

Absolutely Appalling & Fraudulent

I have literally spent over 1k in a month and my partner spent more.
To repay our business they have treated me nothing short of disgusting!
I sold a pair of Christian Louboutin heels on there, sent off for quality control as per the process- for a reason not explained to me other than they simply did not pass quality control they then sent what could only be explained as a hoax email telling me I had to pay them some ridiculous amount into a Susa looking account or else they will keep my shoes until I do.
I've tried several times requesting an official email & an address so I can arrange freight back to myself with no response!
This is theft of my property- I have now consulted the ACCC & Consumer Affairs- They are bullies & thieves!

Unfortunately, my experience with the website it's not the best! If you think is professional or serious it's not that VESTIAIRE, a few think wrong! The product looks nice you pay a a lot of commission and tax but when it's time to pick up the purchase you find the bad quality or your order will be cancelled because it's fake!

I bought a pair of shoes on Vestiaire Collective that were supposedly gold, per the description. Even the cover photo made them look gold. When I received them, they were very obviously silver. I sent them back to VC since the item did not match the description but was told they did. How does a very obviously different color match the description? The item was then relisted using the exact same price I paid, along with the same information, neither of which I was able to edit. Worst of all, VC will once again take their 30% sellers fee on top of the "quality control" fee, meaning I am essentially paying them to get ripped off. I asked for the shoes back because I'd rather sell them elsewhere. VC also refused to tell me why quality control says the item matches the description. This is a SHADY way to do business.

Please don't be as dumb as I was and trust Vestiaire Collective. I normally shop with Tradesy and only used this site because of them. WRONG! I ordered a Gucci marmont bag. Before they "authenticated" it, I told them through the chat that I don't think it's authentic because I realized the serial number is in the wrong place and so is the stitching. They GUARANTEED me that it is real and shipped it over, despite me asking to cancel the order. Its supposed to be nearly 13 inches, why did I get a bag that's less than 4 inches and can't even go up my arm!? GUCCI DOESNT MAKE THE MARMONT THIS SMALL AT ALL! IT IS FAKE BUT VESTIAIRE STILL APPROVED OF IT DESPITE ME WARNING THEN THST IT IS FAKE. Then to make matters worse, I told them I want a refund and these scandal thieves told me to just "RELIST IT TO OTHER SHOPPERS and good luck making a quick sale". They said I have 72 hours after receiving the item to relist for free. As soon as I got the fake bag, I messaged them again and they've IGNORED ME EVER SINCE. It's been 4 days now. I contacted Affirm and opened a dispute. Also commented on their Instagram. And exposed them to thousands of my followers. And still they haven't responded. If you read this and still shop on their site, you're stupid. Please don't be stupid! There are tons of YouTube videos about these frauds too and other reviews too.! Don't waste your money or time here!

I sold my Cartier tank watch last week accepting an offer of HK$8100 but they changed and show my accepting price to HK$7055 and sent me back only $5996. 75. I demanded to have my watch back but they refused and sent me their 19 pages of terms and agreements.
They also set a ridiculous exchange rate and when a buyer sent me an offer of USD 1100, it only came out to me as HKD 7055 ( USD 1 = HKD 7.75 - 7.8) and they did not allow you to send pictures through their app messages nor let you change your items pictures nor description nor price.
Their staff refused to let me know their full name and office location when I said I wanted to file my complaint to the authorities.

Dear VC, you are applying a double taxation and this is not consistent with any regulations but just made up from you.
Please look at this article from the US authorities:

The one exception to this is made-to-measure suits from Hong Kong, which are subject to quota restrictions regardless of the use they are imported for. Note: U.S. Customs and Border Protection is authorized to make judgment calls about what qualifies as personal use. Several suits that are identical or a number of very similar handbags will have a hard time passing the credibility test as items for personal use.

For Commercial Purposes: Goods imported for commercial purposes must comply with a variety of special requirements, such as marking of country of origin, which vary depending upon the particular commodity. I really wonder where all the millions you are taking from those holds are going. Totally unfair to all your buyers. That's why you get such bad ratings.

This site is set to take custom duty plus sales taxes, which are the same basically. Normally is either or but never both! This is not compliance of any regulation, someone simply keeps those funds illicitly.
Contacted customer service but they don't return messages on this subject.
Every purchase turn out to be a rip off, paying an item 25-30% over the purchase price agreed with the seller! This is really not right and must change and refund.

Not worth the aggravation

First two purchases I made on Vestiaire went well. Third time I made a purchase it was for a handbag which wasn't even a expensive designer bag, but it still was required to go through their "authentication" process. I received the bag & it had alterations to it that were not mentioned in the listing or shown in the listing photos. I immediately requested a refund & they told me to send it back for them to inspect it again. Their authentication process cannot be opted out from even for cheaper non designer items. It also is a pointless waste of money because the bag was inspected by them & sent to me despite being different than what was shown in the listing?! Thankfully they accepted & refunded me. I took a chance & made a 4th purchase which was 7 days ago & the seller has not shipped it & I emailed Vestiaire because if the seller doesn't ship in 7 days I am supposed to get a refund. I have not heard back from them nor received my refund yet. I am waiting one more day before I open a dispute via PayPal to get my money back for an item I have yet to receive. I will also no longer be using them to purchase items. I shop a lot for luxury designer goods but Vestiaire is just too risky to deal with & I will spend my money else where from now on.

Vestiaire is full of fakes, especially Chanel. I am a well established collector and I have confirmed with Chanel that at least half of their items are fake (some are obviously fake even from the picture, yet they will allow the item on the website anyway). Other sellers use genuine pictures but send you a fake item instead. This is what happened to me. I've sent back counterfeit shoes with a detailed description, photos, even a picture comparison with genuine pair. I thought they will ban the scammer (who already managed to scam other people). Instead, Vestiaire refunded me and simply relisted the shoes again on their own account as if they were real. They are scamming people big time. Please be careful and ALWAYS seek a second opinion because Vestiaire is known for selling fakes with a massive price tag. Either they do it deliberately or simply have no idea how to authenticate the luxury pieces. I will post a video about it and share it with my fashion community because this deserves to be spoken about.

I was so excited to buy a purse just in time for my sister's birthday and so I wanted to do my due diligence first by speaking to the seller about the details of the product especially since I was a new user and customer with Vestiare. I was about to confirm with the seller and find myself being blocked by the app from chatting with the seller for no apparent reason. I received no email notification of the chat ban and customer service chat has also claimed to have "escalated" the issue 2 days ago but I have received no updates or response. This has been the worst experience for me since I have just spent 2 moths salary on this purchase for what was supposed to be a happy celebration and moment.

My the chat ban on my account needs to be immediately lifted. This is just such a poor service all in all. I want my money back!
