Scammers

I bought LV wallet which was listed as "NEVER WORN" and after I received the package the wallet started to have glue come off from corners. The wallet which costs 700$ and when I contacted them they said "the wallet has beed used for some time and you had 72h to make a return. No they don't respond anymore, they stole my money and sold me proabably a fake used wallet.

Sellers' Nightmare

High high fees. They will reject your authentic items (after rounds of providing receipt, photos of serial number etc) for dumb reasons. Keep asking you to drop prices to Walmart prices. You cannot adjust price upwards only downwards, leaving you to the mercy of crap lowballers. And finally they will ban you if other sellers chat with you to request to deal outside of this ridiculous platform. They FORGET that without us SELLERS they have NOTHING to sell.

I would strongly recommend to avoid this company. I had a total of 4 orders with them, out of which, 2 with issues. A pair of shoes with broken heels and a dress that never arrived. To refund me, i was asked to hand write that the product was indeed broken (despite submitting several pictures immediately after collection) and in the other case, that the item indeed did not arrive (despite being pending on UPS and VC app). In addition, they requested a copy of my ID by email. If you check their T&Cs, none of the above is stated and should be easier to obtain a refund. Requesting IDs from buyers and by email, raised me questions on their DPO obligations and how they meet it. One of the refunds was made after a month, the other one is pending delivery for almost 2 months and they would not investigate it as I refused to provide the ID. I raised a complaint externally with dispute adjudicators. If you can, stay away from them, if you were treated unfairly, raise your complaint further maybe their practices can be investigated.

Authentication process

I purchased a pair of Alexander wang leggings and paid to get them authenticated. The result came back authentic. When I received these leggings they were the fakest pair of leggings I've witnessed.
I have another pair exactly the same that I purchased from the website and the differences were ridiculous.

Don't trust the authentication process. They don't know how to truly authenticate.

On the bright side, I was given a full refund, authentication fees and all.

Bought the item on 1 July and the item still has not been delivered and today is 19August. Followed up with the team and every time replied they are sorry and already trying their to investigate. Never update me the status.I said i don't need the item and request a refund. They just keep saying sorry and investigate is in process, but just cannot refund. That is totally unfair to a buyer.

Rating these people isn't on the chart because they're HORRIBLE. My daughter purchased a purse from these people she spent 1500.00 on this purse for me as a birthday gift tge zipper broke on it she tried to contact Vestiaire my daughter was put on hold and no one ever came back she called again but never got anywhere with them so I took my purse to the louis vittion store to get the zipper fixed but they told me is a nice way that it wasn't a louis vittion it was HARD PLASTIC. I'm hoping to help anyone out there that maybe planning to spend your hard earned money to NOT LET THESE PEOPLE TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU. That's exactly what they did to my daughter that was heartbreaking for me to tell her that it wasn't real she was scammed by these horrible people.

Authentication process

I bought a bag, despite it doesn't match the description, is a total fake, i am wondering how, like how in the wold this bag passed the "authentication process " when it has only red flags. I am so disappointed. I will send it back, the customer service till now they were ok. The. Bag will be checked one more time by them. I am so excited to see how it will work.
So as I was expecting they just sold me a fake bag and they don't admit it, i was going back an front with them by email and they could see the item is not matching the pictures still they kept saying "experts decision" and "sorry " and nothing they could do.
Don't ever use this platform for buying genuine. They put pictures with authentic item and sell fakes, no matching, just worst experience ever.
The bag is fake, the invoice is fake the dusbag is fake. I proofed it to them, it can be clearly seen and still they come with the "experts " line. Even my kid spotted the difference. Although they admitted that they can see the scratches (which in the website pictures are no where to be seen) they still relisted and no refund even though they saw the difference. And on their selling policy is saying that any flaws must be clearly described when listing the item.

Steal and no help

I recently bought a bag, and when I received it, the bag was in bad conditions even though the seller said she worn it a few times and there was no imperfection. The leather was in bad condition, and there was two scratches very visible. Vestiaire Collective is "really sorry" and says it does match the description and does not want to help me. They say it matches the description since the seller said it was worn. It's obvious she used it a lot since the bag is in very bad condition and won't close correctly.

Stay Clear

I was a Tradesy member and agreed to be transferred to VC because I had unused credit. The credit was from a pair of expensive shoes i purchased and unfortunately did not fit. When I finally decided to use my credit on July 5, the code they gave me didn't work. After many exchanged emails, I was able to use my credit on 07/11. I purchased a bag that was never delivered. They made it extremely difficult for me to get my credit back. They asked for pictures of my driver's license etc. On 07/26, the issue was corrected. I purchased another bag on 08/02. Unfortunately, I did not realize the bag wasn't a cross-body bag. The style I mistakenly purchased was very similar to the cross-body bag I wanted to get. I contacted them on the same day upon opening the box. On 08/13, they asked me for a picture and a reply within 24hs, which I did. I sent them a photo on 08/14 as you can all see on the attached screenshot. Then on 08/14, they sent me the following message " Upon checking, the item was delivered on August 9 and you reported an issue the same day. My colleague replied to your email and were asking you to provide the photos of the issue but we did not receive any response from you in 96 hours. Therefore, your claim was automatically closed by the system. " I'm speechless. They simply don't want to take the bag back and are telling me I need to re-list it. I do not want to re-list the bag. They have the WORST customer service. I just want to use my credit and be done with this. And I'll never use this company ever again.

I bought two jackets from Brunello Cucinelli, one on June 18th and another on June 19th. The one I bought on June 18th was successfully delivered, but the one from June 19th has not been shipped even until the end of June. On June 25th, it showed as shipped, but it actually wasn't! I contacted your customer service, and you said it was shipped on June 27th, but it still hasn't arrived. I almost forgot about this jacket.

However, that's not the main issue. The main issue is that this morning, I suddenly discovered that the jacket I bought is now listed for sale again! And apparently, it's listed for sale by me? Before I even had a chance to open the app, within 2 minutes, it showed that it had been sold?! I immediately went into the app to see how to cancel, but the website didn't allow me to cancel. It said it had already been shipped to the customer? How is it possible to do all of this in just 5 minutes?

Furthermore, I didn't confirm this sale. Who confirmed it?

Your policy states that sellers can cancel, so why can't I cancel immediately? I immediately contacted customer service, and they said they couldn't help and couldn't cancel because it had already been sent to the buyer? In just 5 minutes? How did you manage to ship it so quickly?

Now I suspect that you internally manipulated this, listing my jacket at a very low price. I bought it for over three hundred, and you sold it for 280? I haven't even seen this jacket, so how did you take the liberty to sell it without my consent? And how did you confirm this purchase? You've earned transaction fees from both sides, how unethical!

I was shocked with the extra fees added to items I planned to purchase. You have to consider that Vestiaire will add ca 140% to the prices (shipping, insurance, authentication and control fees + all kinds of custom taxes for EU). So my 323 dollar order became 747 dollar order (including already 30 dollars newcomer offer)! It makes pointless to buy used items if the prices will be actually 140% higer then advertised.

Helping scammers

My buyer said they didn't get the item I sold in the mail. They got a refund. I das left with nothing, because i did sent the item. A few weeks later I see her selling that item?! She admitted even, but Vestiaire is just asking me the same questions over and over?! They are not fixing the situation, I've been contacting them for over 2 months. They keep changing the contactperson, I have to keep explaining the situation, they keep me in the loop and frankly just scamming me. Because they did get their cut of the money. The buyer got the item, I should get the money I am rightfully owned; this is just ridiculous. The worst customer 'service' ever

A bit disappointed
August 8, 2023

I tried to sell an item (jewellery)that had an authentication certificate and they claimed they couldn't sell it because it didn't meet their 'guidelines' for Authenticity? I had also attached lots of clear photos.
I did purchase a bag which is nice and is legit. Their return policy is fair. I bought some shoes that didn't fit and was able to return them for a refund.

Failure to provide a legitimate return

Vestiaire did everything possible to ignore the true fabric content of the nylon bag after I sent numerous photos and descriptions that the bag was improperly labeled as linen, when it is in fact, it is nylon. Vestiarire made the return process long and difficult with many different agents involved. No one helped at all. In designer bags there is no product code sewn into the Prada bag. I sent photos of the care instructions and authenticity card to show fabric content. After I established that the bag was in fact improperly represented as linen they mentioned the bag "does not justify a return" because I purchased from an individual seller. The rightful return was never approved, and then they threw in the single seller obstacle.There is no support for buyers, and Vestiaire will will not issue a return when it is legitimate. Vestiaire is not about doing the right thing, by the customer who spend money. Vestiaire is about keeping seller money for profit and they have loop holes. Vestiaire does not live up to buyer protection policies when an item is not as described, and I will never deal with them again. Buyer beware! They will not support your claims. I hope someone benefits from my poor experience.

THEY STOLE MY SHOES

I just can't believe how this site even exists so far. I sold my shoes 1 month ago and still haven't been paid because the buyer didn't pick up the parcel. And for a case like this that seams very common to happen, they still haven't returned my shoes or compensate me. The customer support simply doesn't care and they don't seem to have a policy for such a case. Simply they STOLE my shoes! Do not buy or sell anything. Stay away from this site.

Horrible!

They lost my item
Now they want me to provide " HANDWRITTEN NOTE" instead of just sending them email. They cannot open investigation u less I provide hand written note? Wtf? Plus they send you different person to try solving this problem. I've gotten 9+ different person! Horrible horrible customer service! YOU NEED TO REVIEW YOUR POLICY HOW HANDLE LOST SHIPMENTS. ON TOP OF THIS, it shows was delivered my home yet Fedex says it's stuck somewhere! I buy a lot from you and ready to close my account!
