I ordered from vestiaire collective for the first time yesterday and what an unpleasant experience it's been. They had a 10 percent off code which I added to my order and then when the order was processing they removed it and charged me the full amount. I contacted customer service and they said that there was no trace I ever added it. Absolute lies and the fact they won't let you cancel your order after shows this. I will be taking further as it's the most appalling customer service I have dealt with. I'm dreading my order showing up based on my experience so far. Take your business elsewhere they don't deserve it.
I wanted to use the promo code with the app and it didn't work out. I tried many times. In the end I had to buy the item without the code. Now of course Vc doesn't want to give me any money back. It's a scandal. Write a review if you they also cheated on you recently.
Used VC services twice. First time purchasing a brooch, and everything went smooth. I decided to purchase a more expensive item, paid by credit card. The payment went through immediately. The seller never shipped the item, and VC held my money for 21 days which is an absolute joke. From Poland, EU it's not even possible to contact them by phone!
I wanted to give them a chance and check black friday offers today... to my surprise they changed their policy and prices go up by about 10% (but not until you're ready to checkout and pay) stating it's to cover customs and duties. I wanted to order items within EU - no customs should apply. Not to mention the shipping fee of 30 EUR. Ordering directly from Italy I never pay more than EUR 10. Repulsive scammers. I will not be back. Oh... the black friday code doesn't work, even though it stands as applied upon checkout. Ridiculous.

Last Christmas I bought a pair of cufflinks for my partner. The item never arrived. After numerous calls I was assured someone would get back to me within 3 days. After not hearing anything from them and calling another several times I was told they would now get back to me within 30 days and that every time I called I would be put to the back of the queue!... Talk about tying a customer's hands behind their back!
I took it upon myself to contact the postal service in France and was told that Vestiaire had not put enough postage on the item and it was being held at their local post office. I called Vestiaire to tell them this and ask them to increase the postage (the French post office were unable to accept payment from me, only the sender). I was told that I was again at the back of the queue and they would contact them within a month. I said that they weren't able to hold it for that long and that I wouldn't receive the gift before Christmas. After not hearing anything back I asked for the postal service to track the package and they said it was no longer on their system. I requested a refund from Vestiaire and was told I wouldn't receive it until the case had been investigated. Still nothing. I only received a refund when I had to get Payal legal team involved.
After having to resort to messaging via Instagram I was offered a 50 euro gesture to cover my calls to them.
Almost a year later I still haven't received it. I have recently been back in touch with them about it and was told their accounting team would be in touch within 3 days. 2 weeks later and still nothing. No response to my follow-up email. I am having to now leave 'comments' on instagram in the hope it will get their attention.
I have never in my life had such bad customer service.

I purchased a chain chanel belt, the description says silver however when I received it, the belt was 1/2 silver and 1/2 gold so I returned it and they turn around and sent it back saying it was as described, mind you I did receive a follow up email stating " as the belt does look 2 tone the gold part looks more silver " therefore it is as described> I had to go put a claim with paypal as that was my funding source, they told me to send it back to them in Paris which I had to pay over $40 to ship it back. So my warning to ALL is to make sure you look at the photos as well as the description and ask many questions as once you get it you are STUCK with it unless u use a good funding source that will fight for you
I also want to mention this belt was ALTERED the seller used part of another belt that had the authenticity engraving and attached it to the belt, I also used mypoupette for authenticity and it turned out to be FAKE. I will mention one of the emails from this company said the belt was authentic and it is NOT

Initially I was very skeptical because of all this bad reviews, but I'm very proud I gave a try. I think that ppl feel motivated to write reviews only when they have problems and unfortunately happy customers don't even spend 1 min for to share a good experience.My husband submitted the order the November 2nd, a nice Balenciaga jacket from HK, it took 5 days to finally get in their offices for to be inspected.The following day my jacket is been shipped and I received it the next day. Total of 7 days an order from HK to NYC(taxes and duties included). The item was 100% auth and it cames inside Vestiaire Collective's tote bag. I couldn't be more happy for the service. I would definitely buy again from them. Merci beaucoup VC
I have bought 3 items on Vestiaire Collective.
- The first time, I bought a Chanel bag from a firm and all went smoothly without any friction.
- The second time, I bought a Sandro jacket from a private seller. Shipping took 2 weeks (!) but the jacket was according to description. So far, I had no issues with their quality control (which Vestiarie Collective promote so hard).
- The third time, I bought a pair of Hermès heels from a private seller, and I was extremely disappointed with their quality control. First of all, the quality control tag had not been filled in and signed, so they probably did not check it properly before sending it to me. Second of all, when I got the shoes, the right heel was defect and could not be used. So I contacted customer service, and they approved a second quality control. After 2 weeks, they got back to me and told me that they reject my returns request because they said that "worn shoes can have flaws, and even defects". And this really pisses me off. I have no problem with worn, flawed shoes (e.g. With scratches and marks), but a DEFECT shoe should be stated clearly in the description. A flawed shoe is a shoe in non-perfect condition (but it can still be used). A DEFECT shoe, however, is a shoe that cannot be used! In conclusion, they handled the matter poorly, and I did not get my money back. I feel totally screwed over, and I think their quality control is very inconsistent. I will NOT return as a customer.
I strongly urge anyone using this site to reconsider. Their quality control is severely lacking and their customer service is offensive. Firstly, sellers are not adequately vetted so information about the products may be misleading, if not completely false, and the quality control does nothing to prevent the buyer falling victim to such false advertising. Should you be displeased with your order for any number of reasons likely to occur, you may not return your order in the case of an individual seller EVEN IF THE REASON IS THE FAULT OF THE SELLER AND/OR VESTIAIRE. In my case, the sizing of the item I ordered were misrepresented and the quality control did not pick it up. When I contacted customer service with my complaint which included pictures and supporting information from the brand the shoes were from, they completely disregarded my dissatisfaction and refused to offer me any kind of return or refund. Instead, they suggested I relist the item on their site, for which you still have to pay for "shipping and handling", so the most I can hope to redeem is less that 75% of what I paid! Please reconsider using this site - it is an uphill battle complete with poor customer service. Should you wish to buy designer clothes second hand, I can recommend REBELLE - I had one experience with far superior customer service.
Avoid this website! Absolutely outrageous customer service. The website is a disgrace, although I continuously delete my old address it reappear in the additional information in my profile, resulting in a pair of very expensive boots getting sent out to the wrong address. I have been told on numerous occasions there is nothing they can do and no way of contacting the seller, I can simply leave a comment on the items page. I am reporting this site to trading standard as I am constantly hearing of issues through friends. Please avoid this company!
The seller pulled the item out seconds after submitting a counter offer which I accepted and immediately set forth to pay which I cannot 'coz the item was pulled out without explanation. I was left hanging wondering if it was a system error. I tried for several hours to get through and tried to message the seller through his other items to no avail. I sent an inquiry to Vestiaire if it was a system failure. Vestiaire responded 2 days after that the item was pulled out and no longer in Vestiaire. I responded asking how they could allow that when the approved offer came from the seller and asked how customers can be protected from such disrespecful and irresponsible action from the seller in their site. 5 days running till now and I have no response. The seller's other items are available still at Vestiaire and he still engages the inquiries and removed any question for updates from me asking if he knows what was happening. No wonder sellers can be manipulative and downright take advantage. Vestiaire does nothing to protect buyers. The more discgusting part is that you are just ignored by the entity who is supposed to put things in place to protect you.

I wish I read trustpliot before I placed the order. I placed it 3 weeks ago and till now my order has not yet been shipped. I requested to cancel the order and the CS of course, as a scammer company, my request is refused with a non sense and stupid reason (You can refer to below conversation). I am very disappointed. I sold few items on VC after I paid myself delivery / shipping for them because they don't colaborate with my country - Romania. I put a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes on their site and they asked me for the invoice. What? Who keeps the shoes invoices few years? Do they think I stole them? How many items on the site have invoices? I send a mail and I told them I don't keep the invoices and they responded me that my items don't fit their catalog. What? There are a lot of the same shoes on their site.
When you send them e mails they respond very brief and like they don't care. But they are making a lot of money selling our items. I had many items refused by them telling me that they don't fit their catalog. And then I saw the same items on their site, so they just refused me. So it is very complicated and I don't know how much it is worth it.
I ordered a purse that as listed as in "very good condition", and the seller wrote " Bag comes in great and clean condition, only the 2 leather straps are curling up a bit from storage ".
Please look at the pictures of the purse and see for yourselves what is their idea of "very good condition"!
I made a complain and the costumer support reply that they don't offer returns! What about making their job of assuring the articles are in the condition that they were listed?!

I decided to list some of my higher end items on Vestiaire after having one good experience with purchasing in the past, & because Poshmark buyers lowball luxury goods.
If I thought Poshmark was bad, imagine my shock when Vestiaire began a price negotiation over a pair of rare Chanel sunglasses. Yes, other people have a similar style listed for less, but they dont have the exact pair in a dual tone colour... that also has all of its original packagingeven the receipt & a thank you note from my SA!
I listed them on Poshmark at $500. Vestiaire wanted me to drop to $292. I would only get $100-something. Guess what? I received an offer of $450 just before Vestiaire initiated their so-called price negotiation. I removed my listing from their site immediately. They dont do enough to warrant such a hefty commission. As a seller, if my item doesnt sell, then I can choose to lower it, but as it is, Im not negotiating price with these people as theyre not buying it! Its mine until it sells. I realize they have their tool to calculate a range, but hi, its called capitalism. Theres a market. Someone is willing to pay what Im asking. It isnt outrageous given the cost of Chanel sunniesand these are in pristine condition.
I was listing a bunch of my other luxury items, but I think Im going to pass & list on eBay & even list locally. Vestiaire had a great concept. Unfortunately, the concept is where it ends.
Take the site for what it is. If you dont mind not really being able to set your own prices, go for it. If your things are in excellent condition, sell them yourself & dont bother giving commission to them.
Just reading some reviews I am wondering is it same Vestiaire I shop with I have for many years never had a problem great service if for some reason itm not availed any more I get refund two days never got itm other than it was stated I am firm believer in getting what you pay for two items were not genuine I was contacted and told and refunded very happy Aoc
I bought Christian Louboutin Asteroid spikes. Before receiving I contacted customer service & told them I do not think the item is real & to cancel (seller changed bottom to black). They told me they haven't rec'd item yet & I should wait before cancel. I said ok. I told them not to ship item to still cancel. She said ok. The next morning I woke to an email that item went through quality control and is shipped! I called and she said quality control said shoes are authentic and if I'm still not happy to return them. The item arrived and I was still skeptical. I called and they told me it's now between me and the seller! I was devastated! I kept the shoe because seller was not responding to me. I wore the shoe once to an event and the front (with spikes) FELL OFF! It was so embarrassing! I thought I found a genuine online shop to trust but these guys are all about their money and terrible customer service! Trust is out the window!
The worst online experience ever! Bought a bag from them and after using an online authentication agency I found out this bag is a fake. Contacted them and they just insist their quality control expert said its authentic. The customer service is also very rude and replied my email with arrogant tones. Dont waste your money people! Their quality control department is nothing but a decoration for their shady company! You are not protected at all as a customer because all they say is how professional their experts are, which clearly nobody ever did the authenticate job. Id rather buy from EBay, at least you are protected as a customer.
Terrible terrible terrible! Stay away! I purchased a dior bag (with a seasonal discount code) in the trust that vestiaire has reasonable pricing for it as a second hand bag. Shockingly this is substantially more than a new one in shops which I came to know about a few days later. I was so upset I felt conned I rang vestajare and was told something will definitely be done as this is unfair. I then receive an email a few days later asking for pictures of the new products. I just recorded the exact pricing of brand new Dior bag which I was told at Dior selfridges. I won't be travelling into London sefirdges just to take pictures.
