We monitor reviews for authenticity
I ordered a dress and received a email to tell me that the dress was wrong size and had big stains. It said that I could log in to my account and confirm or cancel my order. When i tried to cancel the order, my finger accidentaly pressed the confirm button which is right above it. The two buttons are very close together. And there is no " proceed further?" Kind of next page that most website has. I immediately emailed them and called them. However, they refuse to " undo" and said that i must accept the order.
This is a very tricky website and company. I have closed my account after this first transaction ( experience) with them. Please be very careful if you use this company.
Bought on their Website for the first time (Balenciaga Sneaker), description was as good as new". I bought them because VC promises to control authenticity and if the description was right.
I got them in a very bad condition, not new at all. The leather is very dirty, torn shoelaces etc.
I called the costumer service who offered me a 20 Voucher, but first i needed to send pictures of the item via E-Mail. The respond: a 15 voucher and no answer anymore. For 500 shoes!
Either way it's a win ein Situation for VC. They will send you the shoes in every condition cause they get 30% commission. They send you a little voucher for their Website, so they can Dell you another item. Would not buy there again and would not recommend it..
Big lie. I bought a product from vestiaire and didnt fit me, the single return mode was reselling. I sent back the item bought from them, with autentification from the quality team, they send me an email and told me that The product is not matching The quality! How? First time The product was Good and second No? Really?
Ordered Louboutins twice. Both orders never arrived, i. E. received from sellers and i had to wait a month each time before i got my refund. Seems like the site is not updated for items already sold, which is very frustrating. Ridiculous
Seller accepted my offer. I completed the transaction was completed on my card. After the transaction was completed and showed debited from my checking account, The company sent me an email saying the seller refused my offer. I contacted the company and the conversation was real sketchy and I was told to send them an email. I have now launched an investigation through my bank.
My Chanel bag purchased from Linda's Stuff, a long time trusted eBay seller was determined as fake and they won't admit even I provided evidence of authentication opinions by other professional authentication services that have existed long before Vestiaire founded. I know one of the authenticators in Vestiaire's New York office was employed and FIRED by The RealReal. Vestiaire tried to charge me authentication fee and threatened to dispose my authentic Chanel bag if I don't pay them. How should I pay for service provided by disqualified "authenticators". I was really furious and so close to take this case to Diet Prada or media. The Chanel bag in question was not difficult to authenticate. I tried to sell it to Fashionphile once but the offer was low but I understand the condition not good enough. The fact Fashionphile made an offer, and two industry known experts determined it was real was not enough for Vestiaire to admit its own mistake. Lack of skill is one thing, big ego for not admitting your limitation is worse.
I ordered and received the bag which is different comparing to the photos on the app. Still they refused to return it and tried to convince me that I should trist them not my eyes.
Do not order from them! They do not check the items correctly and they do not take any responsibility for not checking.
I ordered a Moncler puffer from there.
On the description was stated:
'vintage: no'
'very good condition'
I recieved the puffer did make me suspicious about its authenticity and I made a research on the authenticity of Moncler items. I did not do this before ordering before I trusted them to do that for me.
All the details (zipper, logo, ID/number) of the item i recieved did not comply with the descriptions on the expert sites online, nor did the ID-code comply with the online authenticity scanning system of the Moncler company itself.
But there is an other issue: There was a metal part missing, on the drawstring of the hood. This was not described by the seller.
So, they did not check with the description.
Is this not what Vestiare Collective stands for?
I told them, and they wanted to have a second examination of the coat.
The result of the second examination was:
-''This model is a vintage Moncler Puffer in very good condition for a second hand article. The certilogo did not exist at the time this model was produced.''.
[Description by the seller: 'vintage: no'].
About the missing metal part they just said:
''We regret that this element is missing and would like to propose a 15 euro voucher to address this anomaly. ''
I did not accept the voucher, as I wanted my money back. What they did was, they send it back to me and let me know that I can relist it if i like.
Customer service is completely worthless. Was hung up on twice. And you better read the fine print when you buy something... especially a higher priced item. All I can say is buyer beware.
Update on DvF Dress bought on Vestiaire Collective
I should add that the DvF dress I posted below passed quality control. If VC can let a dress with very huge stains and holes and tears passed through quality control I don't know what else will not pass.
See post below (author H F) for photos
It is not cheap. About GBP200 so it is a real rip off. The seller is Miriam - don't buy from her and the so call quality check from VC is useless
I was told to send the dress back "as an exception" where they will "re-examine" the dress.
I bought a black article called Louis Louis Vuitton Artsy Empreinte. This was found to be compliant by the quality control. However, I had to realize after delivery that it is a dark blue bag (LV color Infini). This was not noticeable in the photos. Vestaire continues to claim that the color complies and refuses to take back. I was suggested that I can offer the bag back on Vestaire for sale... against corresponding processing fees. That means I should pay for having sold me a wrong item. Absolutely unacceptable service!
I bought a Louis Vuitton backpack 2 years ago and it arrived with a very unblemished new looking leather base, it had been purchased for a long haul holiday and on arriving at the airport the base started to peel away from the bag, by the time i had reached my destination it had ripped completely. So obviously a fake bottom, it was returned to Vestiaire 3 times and each time they said this was fine, to buy a bag and the bottom drops out after 2 hours of wear.
I started proceedings with the small claims court and after spending a further £80 was told by the court as the company are based out of the Uk it would cost thousands to bring it to court. I have given up £780 lighter with no useable goods. I would say to anyone if there is a fault with the goods or they are not authentic there is no support or route for compensation, would never use them again.
I just bought a grey Marni bag from VC, but had my doubts about it when I received it - the bag was listed as 'Trunk' style but I don't think it was, the clasp is different and I couldn't find examples of the style I purchased online. The leather felt very dry and the bag appeared to be brand new although I purchased a 'good condition' item The seller also accepted my first offer. I was very suspicious of it's authenticity, so, with some difficulty I managed to get permission to send it back to VC for re inspection. I dropped the bag on Thursday to a DHL hub, they received it on Friday and today I got a full refund - but no explanation... The worrying thing is that the bag is probably fake and they passed it on inspection, I find that most concerning that they let items slip by, and I'd really like an explanation.
I always request for them to label the goods as "made in EU" on the customs slip as items made in EU are duty exempt upon entering Canada. They failed to do this with one order. A $1400 Gucci bag was charged $450 in Taxes and duty charges. My item was unnecessarily charged $350 in addition to taxes because of this error. I reached out to them 11 days ago asking for an updated invoice that I can provide to DHL so their customs broker can reasess the duty value.
Their representative told me that if the bag gets shipped back to them they would relist it for sale. I have since then emailed and called them on a daily basis asking for this invoice as I would like to keep this item. It has been 11 days and they are still working on getting back to me.
Calls are answered by a support team with no option to speak to a manager, emails have gone unanswered since 7 days ago.
A large company like this should not ship items to Canada if they are unable to correct mistakes and label the customs slip with adiquit information in regards to the origin of their items sold, so that charges can be calculated accurately. Do not order from this website if you are based in Canada. You will have to pay for unnecessary duty charges with no help from Vestiaire when requesting for an updated invoice.
Dear all,
I will never ever use this application.
I have sent chanel watch for 12 000. And TNT company deivered to the place on 21th of December at lunch. AND TILL NOW I DONT HAVE ANY INFORMATIPN WHERE IS MY WATCH! They just write me that they try to investigate. I have prove of delivery.
Im sorry, but its not about 100. Even not about 1000. Its 12 000! I can understand holidays etc. But! Is have past 9! Working days. Is it normal? I dont have watch, i dont have money. 100% i will sue to that company. But Its very nervous, I will need to pay to my layer. I am a huge buyer, and i will make an amazing BAD rewier for that site, if you dont find the watch and give my money.
Will never buy from this place. I order an item, but seller never since item in for QC. Vestiaire wanted me to keep messaging seller, while they only send out one email. Seller never replied. My issue with Vestiaire on they customer service is really bad. And they have a policy that you have to wait 30 day from purchase for either seller send in item or transaction is cancelled. And then wait another 3-7 days for refund. Needless to I will not shop on here no more
AVOID this site, dressed up as high end luxury and appealing at first glance, however when it comes to actually buying anything, you are out on your own. Item can take up to a mouth to reach you! You have no rights to cancel your order at all, then when/if you receive the item often the so called 'quality control; has been done by total unprofessional team which have no clue about what is a good or a bad condition.
Avoid the seller JDParis
I've ordered a jacket from the "trusted" seller JDParis - yes I am writing so you can avoid her! Which she never sent to VC (perhaps she realised it was not going to pass their condition evaluation?, who knows?) After a week I asked her: have you sent the jacket? She answers "of course I did, please don't bother me". Well after another week I called VC where they told me her tracking code was never activated which means she LIED to me. What should a decent company do? Cancel it immediately. VC keeps our money up to 30 days and keep calling their sellers "trustful"... Run away from VC as fast as you can, Rebelle is way better.
I bought a LV wallet from the website and have still not been notified that the seller even sent the wallet for inspection and now demand a refund as I'm positive I won't even receive the item, and if I do, it'll be a fake. Before it even sends, I want a refund ASAP.
I've used Vestiaire two times since signing up in 2015 and on both occasions I didn't end up receiving the items I purchased. On the first occasion in 2016 the buyer never shipped the item and after two months of waiting I finally received a refund minus the shipping costs from Vestiaire. On the second occasion in 2018 the item got lost in the mail. So far I've been waiting a month for the parcel to arrive and an investigation is currently pending to locate the parcel which could take 30 days. In the event that my parcel is never found I expect to be refunded by Vestiaire so we will see what happens with that. Regardless of the outcome, I am going to be very cautious about using this company in the future because ultimately it just seems to be such a huge hassle. Why bother paying for something feeling excited to receive it and then waiting waiting waiting until it never arrives...
Answer: There are a lot of honest sellers and buyers there (I consider myself one of them) but if anything goes wrong, Vestiaire will do nothing to help, they will spam you with auto replies
Answer: This exact thing happened to me. Completely different top than what was posted. And it still passed their "inspection". I am still fighting with them to no avail. Good luck.
