I have been a trusted seller off and on with VC.
I have had multiple situations where I sent the sold item, the buyer received the item and I did not get paid. Mostly they claim "technical glitches".
Basically, if I did not track every single item I sold to make sure I got paid, then I would miss out on a lot of payments.
The most recent instance was last month. I even messaged the buyer to ask if they received the item and they replied graciously that they did and that the item was perfect. I sent a screenshot of the private message with the buyer to VC and they still claim they must "investigate" the matter. I have contacted them every day for 2 weeks via chat and email (as they removed their phone number). Every time I'm told they will raise an urgent matter and I should receive a response within 1-3 working days. I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A RESPONSE! It's going on 3 weeks now since I should have been paid. The item was shipped first of the year!
I have been slowly removing all my items from VC and selling on other platforms as their service has proven to be the worst!
I bought a Chanel suede coat from VC 20/10/2020 in "very good condition". It arrives and is damaged with marks to the skin and dirty -clearly it has not passed through their control system.
VC then issued a wrong DHL label, which made DHL loose it in their system for over a month. I had to try to rectify their mistake with countless hours on the phone with DHL. The coat was then wrongly sent to an old address of mine in France (I live in the US). Finally, after 2 months, the coat was with them at VC warehouse in France. They then took over a month to process the return.
I payed the coat in USD, using my a credit card in another currency. Because VC only returned the amount to my account 13/1/2021, the dollar had lost its value, and the amount they transferred back to my account was 180 dollars less then what I transferred to them in October 2020. If VC had not 1) lost the coat and then 2) spent months processing their mistake, all this could have been avoided. I've provided them with bank statements and spent literally dozens of hours with customer "service" throughout this whole story, and still they will not return the 180 usd. Absolutely horrible experience.
Do not shop here, they do not ensure a quality check, and then steal your money/do not own up to their mistake. I've been lied to by people at their customer service (saying they'll get back to me on certain dates, and then not doing so, telling me the processing will be done before Christmas), and only when I threatened to report them to Mastercard for fraud did they return my money partially.
Such a shame, because I've been a faithful enthusiast of VC for many years. But after this experience I'm never endorsing them again. My tip to anyone would be to save yourselves the high blood pressure, and extremely unsecure customer experience, and spend your time and money elsewhere.

Please don't buy anything here. This application and platform is horrible compared to the concurrents.
Literally every other similar platform (Grailed, eBay, dePop, Marktplaats, Vinted) don't charge the HALF (!) of the commission Vestiaire asks.
If you just want to buy/sell clothes, Vestiaire definitely IS NOT the place to do that.
For example; I want to sell a jacket for 550 euro.
Vestiaire takes such a big commission I have to post it for 800 euro's to still receive my 550. The remaining 250 euro will go in their pocket. For. Absolutely no reason.
DON'T USE THIS! Let's boycot such idiotic platforms

Very poor service from Vestaire Collective. I sold my LV bag on their site on 8 December 2020 and still waiting to receive my payment which have been delayed 6 times already for no reason whatsoever! Communications are via web chat on their site and is totally useless. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!

I sold a few unused items on this platform. First of all, the commission they charge is really high. And they always recommend a very low selling price so that to increase the selling chance. If you don't follow their advices price, then your item will not be promoted. Also, their QC team is full of unprofessional ppl that always pick on things that are even not a problem then to ask you lower the price. Moreover, they will directly cancel your items from sold list if they have doubt about the authenticity of items, and ask you to prove the authentic. Come on, who's gonna keep receipt all the time for tiny little items? If you want you items to be send back, they will ask for 12 euro to be paid first and then it will take up to one month to get your items back! Last but not least, the customer service is always absent! One person say hi to you and left, another person join the conversation said one sentence and then left!
Trust me, it's a real pain to deal with Verstaire!
Had and I am having a terrible experience with VC.
The item got lost by La Poste, VC instead of giving the carrier a call to understand the whereabouts of the item (300€ item)... is more concerned in asking me to send them a handwritten letter and Id Card so they can open a case with the carrier.
I have raised 5 cases with VC and there is no proper follow up. I have sent 8 chaser and total radio silence. There is no customer service number. So its a great experience for the client. You get stuck with hundreds or thousands of €. And you have to wait for them to reply... basically. When they feel like. This company is not set up, and should be fined for making the clients to go through this terrible experience. We are stuck with virtual chat boxes and emails. Unacceptable...
My next step is to write a handwritten complaint letter to the respective department
I'm a seasoned buyer and seller on sites such as TheRealReal and Poshmark. I decided to give Vestiaire Collective a try and purchased a $1,800 luxury handbag that I couldn't find elsewhere. I'll spare you the details, but I tried to use a $25 promo code they emailed me while I went through the checkout process, but it wasn't automatically applied. I didn't want to lose the bag, so I went ahead and purchased.
I contacted customer service via chat and they refused to deduct the amount from the purchase. The customer service rep even blamed me for not applying the "automatic: discount correctly and said it's against their policy to retroactively apply promos. They could only give me a code toward future purchases. What kind of rigid customer service is this? Clearly meant to protect their pockets, at the buyers' expense.
Also, you can't return a purchase if it doesn't match the description, only relist the item within 72 hours (fingers crossed that it resells). Oh, and if you try to talk about the site via their chat they permanently ban you from messaging.
THIS PLATFORM DOES NOT PROTECT THE BUYER, ONLY THEIR PROFITS. I WARN ALL BUYERS TO NEVER USE THIS SITE.
I have been selling with Vestiaire for some years now and the service used to be good. I am a VIP customer so in September 2020 I sent 13 Designer clothing from Chanel to Saint Laurent from season 2019 so most of them brand new. Since 29 September 2020, all my 13 Articles are showing as sold but they are not sold because i have not been paid. Also, they put so little prices on them that i might as well throw them in the bin. I have contacted my VIP representative 8 times. I have contacted them via Chat 10 times. To this date, my articles are still showing as sold.
These are my 13 Articles showing as sold for 3.5 months now but they must be lost or stolen. Because, they do not get back to me.
Even at little prices, the clothes are worth over Euro 5000. I have now realised that they must have lost my designer clothes as the timeline for dealing with an enquiry is 72 hours. I have now emailed again and demanded full payment - an insurance claim. It is disgraceful service. Once the issues are resolved, i will never sell them again. I have also withdrew a Dior coat from sale 8 months ago. I am still waiting for it to be returned. As well, when i first started selling, i shipped a Dior Classic handbag with Fedex to be safe. It was signed and received but Vestiaire claimed that it was never received. Clearly, someone stole the bag. Don't buy or sell with Vestiaire. Disgraceful service.
What is noticeable is the reoccurring theme that this website is not to be trusted. A product may show as in stock, you may ask if it is in stock and so you pay on that basis. But guess what it isn't in stock, probably never existed?! And they they refund you 'as soon as possible'... DO NOT BUY FROM HERE
Over a period of 1,5 years, I have experienced one terrific customer service after the other. I have been a seller and a buyer on the site. My latest experience is about a blazer purchased. At arrival, it shows three visible wholes in the front. None of them were stated in the seller's description. Vestiaire won't let me return the jacket so I can get a refund of my money. I have again and again experienced the service is full of wrongdoing. Also, it's almost impossible to get in contact with them. I must say, that so far this has been a feeling of not being respected as a customer. I feel quite left on my own if something goes wrong - I would have attached pictures so you can see the wholes in this blazer, but I do not have them in an acceptable size for this platform
I bought shoes that stated 'never worn'.
Vestiaire Collective claim they personally validate each item - they validated the false claims - the shoes had clearly been worn. What is the point of the business if they just validate false claims. I sent the shoes back, they emailed to say the shoes were as per the photo, but you can no longer contact them as they consider the file closed. Customer service = 0
Worst experience ever! Don't trust them! Their customer service does't exist: all the representative are poor prepared to answer or resolve your problem! I bought a bag and because had some problems I sent it for a double check and they without notice, put it on sale! I tried to make an offer for my bag and even iI i was the first one to make an offer and I refreshed the page all day long, they sold my bag to someone else with a significant lower amount. They are the most unprofessional application I ever seen in my life. Only by luck you can buy something good from them. If God forbid you have a problem they are UNPROFESSIONAL and they don't fix you problem. Avoid them as much as you can!
The seller (Veronica) sells shoes but on initial viewing does not state size or if the shoes are new or used, I paid by mistake and immediately requested for them to cancel the seller deleted my request to cancel and sent them, vestiaire refused to help and claimed the goods were inspected and on the way. I have been forced to by these shoes but have not received them and they have €500 of my money STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE
No payment for more than a month! Horrible company, awful experience! Cheap liars! I sold my item more than a month ago! They take huge commissions and after that don't transfer sellers their money from the sale! Think 10 more times if you are still thinking to use their service! If i could only read reviews before making an account on VC, I would never do so! But unfortunately now, it's me who is writing reviews and trying to protect others money, time and nerves! Because after 6 weeks of trying to get my payment via chat (it's the only way to reach them) i am losing all my power, and i am going to pass this case to a lawyer!

I ordered some shoes for which I have three others in size 39 (size 6) - the shoes they sent as 39 were not that size as my daughter who is a size 4, therefor not fit for purpose and they refuse to accept a return. The shoes came in a fake box and with no dust bag. Con artists!
This organisation is a nightmare to deal with
Sold an item, they provide you with the courier details and you have ur item picked up by there courier
They provided a PO BOX address but there courier company does not accept PO BOX as an address. I've been trying for 4 weeks to get a street address so I can have there courier pick up item and ship to customer
Three of there staff have said they will get back to me with a street address, but 4 weeks later, I still have heard back.

Discount codes do not work, when I contacted customer service they told me codes are limited to the first 250 customer, however this is not mentioned anywhere on the app.
I've had sellers cancel sales 2 weeks after I paid for the item because they simply changed there minds, it took 10 days until I received a refund.
I bought a Gucci handbag from Vestiaire, upon its arrival I was not convinced of its authenticity so decided to go back to the original listing to check the details. When searching for the original listing I found a second listing (sold to another customer) using identical photos. Both listings show photos of the bag with the same serial number. Massive red flag! I then decided to research the bag a little and found that Gucci has never made a bag with the dimensions of the one a received. Upon voicing my concerns to Vestiaire I was told to send the bag back to Paris to be verified again. They checked the bag within less than 24 hours of receiving it and told me it was authentic so would be sent back. They would not provide any more information than that and refused to answer my questions for proof of authenticity. Now there is no sign of the bag being sent to me and customer service refuse to give me a clear answer. Every different person I deal with via email or chat fobs me off with a generic template answer. Now I am over €600 out of pocket and don't even have the (fake) item to show for it. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING USING THIS WEBSITE.
Answer: There are a lot of honest sellers and buyers there (I consider myself one of them) but if anything goes wrong, Vestiaire will do nothing to help, they will spam you with auto replies
