Easirent has 163 customer reviews and ranks 217th in the Car Rental category. Common review topics include customer service.
Easirent is atrocious. They didn't have the car I reserved - didn't have any car at all - so my family and I were stuck at the airport with no transportation. And easirent did exactly nothing to help resolve the situation or offer any assistance. What's the point of even making a reservation if this is how it goes?
DO NOT be tempted to check it out for yourself - you'll regret it
Shuttle bus never come puck us up at the airport and never pick up the phone called.end up we have to get it from some one else.
I prepaid for a car from Easirent in Las Vegas. When I went to pick up the car they added additional fees of close to $200 because I was going to drive the car outside of the state. There was nothing that I could do because to cancel I would lose my close to $300 fee that I had already prepaid for the car. Easirent is a criminal enterprise, and so are each and every one of their employees. They know that they are ripping off their customers. When I returned the car there were angry customers at their rental lot who had been waiting for their rental cars for over 2 hours.
This is a SCAM! Shell company. They get you to rent a expensive SUV then they have 2-3 cars in a scary trailer, miles away from airport- no working bathroom, No manager on site, they refuse to give you any paperwork. You leave with keys & that is all. The company is in Ireland - scam for taxes and they refuse to refund you the difference of the crap they give you when you booked SUV. They actually said " take it or leave it" we do not offer transportation back to airport, This is the worst travel experience of my life.! You have been warned!
When we arrived to the orlando airport we waited 15 min for the shuttle and then when it finally arrived the ride took 25 min to get to the agency with several stops. If that was not enough when we finally checkedin the agency charged us $220 for insurance we already booked and paid for since I didn't buy yet my flight out of the US. (Something that was never said during the reservation). All my attempts to talk logically with the company failed. Stay away! Dishonest car rental company.
They are thieves and scammers, they take reservations without mentioning that they want to charge extra, once in the place they ask for USD 1800 as a guarantee that they retain from your account, then charge an extra USD 300, for no coherent reason. If you call by phone they leave you on hold for more than 20 minutes and then they hang up and by not accepting their conditions (which of course they do not anticipate in the reservation) they charge you for the cancellation. THIEVES! Look for serious companies, this is not one!
Worst place ever did not go here. You have to stand in line for over an hour and a half. Three other employees but none of them were helping. Ordered on Priceline got there. They want to check in car insurance and if you don't have what they want they charge you an extra $30-$50 fee and 500 deposit if you don't have a round-trip plane ticket.
Booked a car in Vegas online.
Landed 45min before closing and was waiting for shuttle.
Shuttle is nowhere to be found.
Call number provided and no one answers.
We've had an experience where we were late picking up the rental and the place closed, but we were charged in full.
Did not want that to happen so we took an uber 15min before it closed.
Upon arriving, long lines with slow people working.
Finally got the car, it wasn't the car we booked, but an SUV.
SUV was new and had stickers, tags, plastic all over, with Florida plates.
Car gets broken into and we go through our insurance for claim and there are a bunch of fees for a broken window.
Manager not sympathetic nor helpful, when asked for incident report copies for insurance. Told me to come back when the agent was scheduled. Had to go back two more times, since she gave me the wrong name and schedule. Ultimately, she "found" the file on her own. Worst experience in Vegas ever.
Don't rent online because when you arrive you told to read sign and the sight is ran by someone else.
Rules for local Texas residents and rules for out of town visitors. Place joke
I picked my rental car up on Nov. 9,2023 at West Palm Beach International Airport at approximately 4:30 PM (Rental Car Agreement #*******). From there, I drove seven miles to my son-in-law's home. I exited the car and locked it with the key fob. My wife and I came back out approximately 30 minutes later to get in the car to go to dinner. I used the key fob to unlock the doors. When my wife went to close her door the lock mechanism was frozen in place. The door would not close. It was two pieces of metal clanging against one another. I called Easirent to explain and asked that someone come out to either fix the problem or to give me another car. I was told that they did not have sufficient staff to do this, which I understood. Leaving no option, my son-in-law agreed to sit in the passenger seat and firmly hold the door in place while we retuned the car. It was not a safe thing to do but we had no other option. Upon getting back to Easirent the implication was that perhaps we had somehow tampered with the lock. I explained to the attendant that my wife and I were 74 years old and that the last thing we might do was tamper with locks. It was then implied that we might be charged with the repair. I asked the attendant that had we experienced a dead battery, or if the transmission had went out, would that be considered our fault? I was met with a blank stare. Furthermore, I was then told that a replacement vehicle was not available and that I would need to come back in the morning to speak to the manager. Thus, I was left stranded with two suitcases in the trunk and no transportation. After a heated discussion the attendant agreed to provide another car, which we drive off without incident. The experience was alarming and very disturbing. I would only hope there is no attempt to charge me for this situation, which I had absolutely no control over.
DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. There is nothing "easy" about it. Here was my experience in Austin:
- It takes forever for their van to pick you up at the airport - they are about 15 minutes west of the airport, so if you just missed the van, it's at least a 30 minute wait
- It takes forever to get your car when you get there. The check in process is lengthy and no one moves with any urgency.
- Upon return, once you drop off the car, they do nothing to ensure you get on the shuttle back to the airport. I waited 30 minutes for the shuttle to arrive, watched the driver get out and disappear inside for another 10 minutes, then come back out and move the van so another car he was blocking could leave, and then the van never came back. When I asked customer service about that, they said "oh, yeah, he went to the airport" and "didn't you see him?"
It is not the customer's responsibility to chase down the van driver. There were many of us in the waiting room, yet no one came in to say "the van is heading to the airport."
Slow and extremely careless about the experience of their customers, I recommend you avoid this place at all costs. When I emailed them about my experience, did they reach out to make things right? No, they never responded.
First in Las Vegas you take the bus to rental cars, then you have to hunt for the transfer bus to easirent. Arrived and had to wait in line for an hour and a half. Found out had to pay an extra $175.00 because I was taking the car to St. George (Out of State FEE). Then a deposit of $250.00 that took three weeks to release after I was home. When we arrived back in Las Vegas their transfer bus didn't start till 8:00 am, my flight was at 9:00 am. Luckily a young man was there and had already ordered an uber we shared to make it on time. I'm older so this is hard enough without all the crap.
DO NOT RENT from this LOW END car rental agency! If you've got time to jump through numerous hoops just to rent a basic car then go ahead and book! If you do don't forget to bring your ENTIRE INSURANCE POLICY as a card is not acceptable? Let's not talk about customer service as the guy that I spoke with was a TOTAL $#*! to say the least! I wouldn't rent from this company again if they were offering free rentals! HORRIBLE!UGH
Reserved a car rental in Orlando last week. When I arrived there were four people behind the counter arguing on who was going to wait on me. All were saying, "no its your turn!" Finally the gentleman that was scrolling on his cell phone huffed and said I will get you while the others grinned. I booked my car through hopper but arrived few hours early because of flight change. When I questioned whether or not I could reserve early, he rolled his eyes and charged me $261 extra and said here is the keys to your car. I know that part of it was because I left my insurance card at home, I paid more for 5 hours extra than I paid for the whole week through Hopper! I was shell shocked with his attitude and just paid and left with my car. He was very rude.
In Las Vegas: you take the off site bus to catch another shuttle even further off site. Waited in line, about 9 people ahead of me, for 1 hours and 45 minutes. Every thing is done on paper. You don't get any paperwork to have a copy of what you are signing. They say they will email it to you. Holds take 3-4 business days to release I was told. If you value your time, go to any other car rental agency.
Of course the only reason we are in a car is because we rented this vehicle from another company. Hard to believe this company is in business
Booked based on low rate and that they said they accept Canadian Insurance. Get there and there are no cars available. Told to wait 2 hrs. While waiting, there was another couple there who were told to wait an hour, over 3hrs ago. I told the clerk to cancel my booking and he says his friend down the street has cars and calls on his cell - Gold Coast Car Rental. Gold Coast was 4x the price of Easirent, I said no and she lowered it to 3x. I hung up. Took the shuttle back to airport and booked with Avis - 2.2x Easirent price. Wasted over 2hrs with Easirent. The potential savings was not worth the wasted time. This was the last week of September - low season - peak hurricane season. If they don't have cars at this time of year, they can't have cars other times of the year.
After renting my car online, paid $86.00 for 4 days and $48.00 for insurance which I thought was a great deal for a suv. I didn't realize that I would be paying an extra $201.00 more. They didn't tell me I would have to pay an extra $12.99 per day if my son was a 2nd driver. Had I known I would not accept it. He gave me the option of paying $12.00 for sun pass or get fine for $35.00 so I took the offer not knowing that it was going to be $12.99 per day. Had to pay $69.00 for deposit removal fee. Of course there is the AFC fee of $17. All these were another addition of what I had already paid. An additional $201.00. Not to mention the unpleasant attitude, the place looked unsafe. Poor customer service.
