*THIS WEBSITE IS A SCAM* DO NOT BOOK WITH TRIP.COM for your flights. I had booked a flight that I had to cancel due to contracting covid. They were so slow in doing anything that I contacted the airline directly and the Airline cancelled my ticket for me. All Trip.com had to do was issue me a refund/credit which they are REFUSING to do and now illegally holding my money. I could not say worse things. What an unethical way of scamming customers. Even the e-mails they send to their customers have grammatical errors which alone are a red flag.

NEVER BOOK WITH TRIP.COM. BOOK DIRECTLY WITH THE AIRLINE. I PROMISE YOU WILL REGRET USING THIS SITE.

I booked a round trip flight with Trip.com. Booking succeeded but next day only one direction was issued tickets, the other direction failed. I received an email: "... sorry to inform you that we failed to issue the ticket due our system glitch." They continued: "... We suggest you cancel this book get refund and rebook on the airline website." So I did. That was already quite bad. But then they issued only a partial refund(!). I inquired about that and they refused to deal with it.

Awful- a scam

They are a scam. I booked my flight to london and they charged me insane amount of fine for no fault of mine. I was not allowed to board by the airline and they penalised me because "I did not show up". Their customer service is AWFUL

I mistakenly booked a hotel through this company. Due to circumstances beyond my control, we had to check out a day earlier than expected. The hotel told me that I would need to contact Trip.com for any refund which I did. They in turn asked me if I had contacted the hotel! Trip.com then tried to tell me that the hotel wasn't responding to their calls. Funny, they answered me on my first attempt. Then it was they had to contact their supplier but couldn't since they were in China and it was 2 am there. I did not know that this was a Chinese company or I would have never used them. If you have any issues regarding getting your unused money back if you have to change your plans for unexpected reasons, you are out of luck using this company. There are too many other booking companies that are legit here in the US that can be used to risk your money and enjoyment on your trip to even consider this booking company. STAY AWAY!

Needs a ZERO
April 12, 2022

Booked my rental car. Flew to Hawaii and went straight to Hertz to get my car. Trip.com had me listed as an international driver and reported I had an Asian driver's license (I'm American). Booking for rental car could not be used. Could not contact trip.com because they are in Singapore and they were closed. Had to get a ride to the hotel and re-book with another company that was much higher than I was originally planning to pay.
Trip.com is a SCAM!

Hi,

I booked a flight at 11:40 in the morning, and when I arrived at the airport it was not listed. I talked to trip.com customer service. After a long conversation, they told me that they don't know when it's going to be listed, and that I should ask someone at the airport.
Don't book with them ever again

I foolishly booked a flight with trip.com and I'm regretting even using this company.
My first flight was cancelled due to Covid, so they informed me that they have to wait for the money from the airline before they can refund me. This was 4 weeks ago. Since then I made the mistake of believing I would get refunded, and I booked another flight trying to leave China. This flight was cancelled yesterday, I was due to fly out in a couple of days. The representative at trip.com told me I could change the dates to the 5th May 2022, which I accepted. I then received an email saying that the flight couldn't be changed to that date, and it could only me changed 3 days before of after the original flight date. That is impossible because there are no flights on these dates, they are all cancelled. So now the whole itinerary has had to be cancelled. Trip.com have also told me that I may not get a refund and if I do, it might be in the form of vouchers. This is not acceptable and I am going to seek legal advice. The bottom line is that they will gladly take your money, but will try their damned hardest not to refund you. Stay clear of this company at all costs.
I have all the conversations on video and I will be allowing my friend to upload them onto his YouTube channel once legal advice has been given.
I can not reiterate this enough... Do not use this company EVER!

Awful company, Do Not Use. They charged me for flights and one piece of luggage but never paid the airline. They also tried to tell me that they've checked the luggage with the airline and it was 'all good' - I did not believe them and contacted the airline anyway, only to find out trip.com had not attempted to contact the airline and had not paid the airline for the luggage. Trip.com also tried to patronisingly tell me luggage will appear upon check in - despite me telling them multiple times that they had not paid for it so it will certainly not appear. I had to book luggage directly with the airline and over a week later I am still waiting on update about my refund (which they only agreed to consider After the original flight and me paying twice). In the process they attempted to take the money they had paid for the flights back from the airline resulting in me being unable to check in due to 'underpayment' until I contacted the airline again. Trip.com also promised me they will update me by phone on at least 3 different occasions - no calls, every time I had to try and chase them for answers and updates. Avoid at all costs - the discounted price they offer is such because they Do Not Pay the airlines.

We were issued a credit due to a cancelled flight during COVID and the time had arrived for us to use this credit. A one way flight, something very simple! To my dismay this booking process included over 15 emails and $20.00 worth of long distance phone calls, some of the emails were for another customer? After hours of confusion to secure this flight we were invited to book our luggage through this company which unfortunately we did. The money was accepted and a confirmation email was sent. Now, one day before our flight we attempt to book our seats and find that no luggage was booked for us. Today the Trip.com customer service agent tells us to go ahead and secure our seats and within 3 hours we will receive confirmation of our booked luggage. 5 hours later we find ourselves calling back to more on hold time, a dropped call and finally the answer that they didn't understand why our luggage wasn't booked but the would investigate and refund our money. We are now left with an additional charge because we will have to book our luggage at the airport counter. In 67 years I have never complained about any customer service as I understand that issues do arise. This whole multi-hour, multi-email fiasco of incompetence was nothing short of disgusting! There probably is a good chance that based on this experience I probably won't see the refund either! If anyone in this company takes the time to examine the trail of correspondence with us, no doubt you will shake your head in disbelief!

Lie website.

I never use this trip.com again. I Book this ticket from them just a couple days. And the airline change the time on my ticket and i call to cancel it. They tell me wait airline respond it. Then they send me email and call me. They won't refund it. I said i just wanna refund voucher ticket they don't do that to me. Trip.com website is cheating customer and lie to customer take money easyly from customer. It's horrible i never meet this problems before when i book any website travel from USA. Don't use this website. Everybody to be carefull.

Prices are not real

This website is trying to cheat people.
They will literally display prices, you can go through the whole checkout process, and at the very end, they will say "sorry, price is not available anymore" and show you more expensive prices.
And if you refresh the page - the "cheap" prices will show up again! That means they are purposely showing non-existing offers - it's not just that one isn't quick enough or something like that.
They are legit trying to scam people.

Trip.com provided the ABSOLUTE WORST experience I have ever had booking flights. I booked my flights over a month in advance with them because of the very competitive price. I never received my ticket information after making this purchase but instead I received an email saying they would "send me ticket information closer to the date of the booking". My trip approached several months later and I realized I had not gotten my ticket information. I contacted the airline that Trip.com was supposed to book my flight with and they HAD NO RECORD of my booking! I was shocked by this because I had bought the booking so far in advance for almost $300. The money was gone but there was no booking for me with the airline and my trip was only 2 weeks away. I tried to contact trip.com and was unable to reach them by phone so I sent them an email hoping I would receive a response in time. I did not receive a response for over a week and because I could not cancel my trip, I had to get another ticket for more money! Trip.com then realized their mistake and proactively got me a booking for the flight when it was already too late. I told them that they messed all this up and obviously they refused to give me a refund. They used the booking they made THE DAY OF my flight, and said they had provided the service I paid for! But they should have provided me with my ticket WHEN I PAID FOR IT! They are scammers and cheats. They were not communicative. They lied and covered their own asses. They do not care at all about their customers. I would recommend that NOONE EVER USE THIS SERVICE TO BOOK YOUR FLIGHTS EVER! I cannot believe that a travel agency would neglect to complete the ONLY THING they are intended to do, BOOK MY FLIGHT! I still have never received a call back on my phone inquiries about these problems. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN! BEWARE!

Never trust them

Never try with this dishonest company
Tried to book business class thru their site being referred by Kayak.com. Never received any confirmation after they got paid in full right at the time of booking. They have multiple dirty tricks to try to get you to quit trying even if you ask for any kind of a voucher instead. They give you a UK number and you have to wait close to an hour. Then comes an agent to quote a fare that is twice as much as you had paid.
Another dirty trick is to toss you back and forth between Trip.ae, Trip.com and mytrip. You get to work with different disrespectful agents in India that will do anything to get you to stop trying. It has been close to two years and the saga never ends.

Horrible customer service from Trip.com
They don't try to help you, they avoid you.
They said modification can only be done before 2019. It's 2022 now. I feel totally scammed.
Had my booking booked on the wrong date; after modification, trip charged me as a cancelation, and a new booking and took double the amount out of my account, they say price difference, but they actually scam on adding as an additional.
They also downgraded my room it was a very upsetting room. Had garage everywhere and insects in the bathroom. The floor was very dirty and there was pubic hair in the sink and the toilet, and the toilet had a big yellow stain.

Customer support team only call back after 7, the latest was 9 30, no one tried to help me, they only put the fault on my head. No customer help, never had I ever had such a horrible experience with a booking company

I booked a trip through trip.com and paid in full for the room at the time of booking. When my husband and I arrived at the hotel to check-in, trip.com give the hotel a problem releasing the funds that were taken from me for my hotel room. Trip.com charged me $181.66 for my two night stay and trip.com refused to release the hotel $161.00 so I can check in. Trip.com wanted the hotel to accept a lower rate for my booking than what I paid so they can make more money off my booking. They never released the money to the hotel causing me to cancel my booking through them and now I have to pay the hotel directly for my room, and wait for my money to be refunded to my bank from trip.com. Basically, booking through trip.com caused me to pay for room, taxes and fees TWICE. MY ADVIVE DON'T BOOK THROUGH TRIP.COM BECAUSE THEY'LL TAKE THE MONEY FROM YOU AND REFUSE TO PAY THE HOTEL THE AGREEDED UPON PRICE AT THE TIME OF CHECK-IN. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER... It was my first and last time booking through them, I'll stick with Expedia. TRIP.COM IS A SCAMMM AND THEY ARE THEIVES STAY AWAY!

I wish I had googled reviews of this website before booking with them, horrible service and they make dumb excuses as to why they can't price match. They sell the rooms over priced and claim u have to pay for breakfast and parking when the hotel offers it free, when I called they didn't want to price match and they said because of cancellation policy, what does that have to do with anything. Book somewhere else and save the headache! They charge 126 dollars which is also overpriced compared to most cancellation fees, and they only give u a few hours to cancel for free, not even a day. Super disappointed and they are a huge rip off. RUN

Trip.com is a scam

Trip. Con will not change your ticket if it was done by mistake or error for a wrong time or day. But the airlines it was booked with will not even a name change they will not do if it is even their system error. Trip.com is a scam please I beg you don't do it. They will charge you $300 dollars for a $150 dollar ticket to change a name or time or date. Go straight to the airline webpage skip all these crooks trip.com will scam you.
