I booked a round trip from Toronto to Montreal and got charged for the carry on even though it was included in the ticket price based on the info on the app. The carry on price was almost the same price as my flight ticket one way. I called costumer service to resolve this and not only I didn't receive any refund for the mistake I got charged for international calls with my phone provider because the phone service is not toll free and you get international mins charges. Paid additional $20 for contacting customer service and $60 for the carry on. When you want to pay less you end up paying more. Avoid if you don't want to get scammed!

I have booked a flight in March 2022 to Canada.few weeks later trip.com cancelled my flight. I have been calling for months the same song, they are dealing with your refund,you will receive the money soon for almost a year now.I need my money ASAP. I won't give up.you don't know how difficult it's to gather money for holiday.you are heartless stealing money to those who haven't got. I will fight for my money until last breath.

Selling faulty flights

This company is absolutely ridiculous. I booked a flight only to get to the airport to find out that my flight had been canceled a month before, when I had just purchased the flight a week prior. So basically I was sold a faulty flight that was non existent. When I got a chance to call trip.com customer service they told me that they could not honor my refund because they emailed me an hour before my flight to let me know that my flight was canceled and I only had an hour window to call them and get a refund. Who emails someone an hour before their flight to let them know it was canceled when it was actually canceled a month before. I explained the situation to the customer service rep and she informed me that I could submit an involuntary refund request and they still did not honor it. The email I received denying my request said that my circumstances did not meet the airlines requirements for involuntary cancellation. I'm not sure what your definition of involuntary cancellation is but I was at the airport 2 hours before my flight time for a flight that never even existed at the time I booked it. Not sure how that's not involuntary. Very frustrated with this company and this situation. It was such an inconvenience for my time and my money. Only to be told that I can't be refunded. I got no help and you don't care about the satisfaction of your customers. I will never book with this company again and will not be recommending this company to anyone. This company is a joke and very unprofessional.

I booked flights with trip.com over 6 months ago, they were absolutely terrible at organising things when the airline changed timings and I ended up having to cancel the whole thing and book my own. They messaged me to tell me I would receive a refund for my cancelled flights (more than £560) and gave me a date of 10th March. I still haven't received my refund - contacted them on Friday and was told I would have response by today. Guess what, still nothing. I will keep fighting the good fight but if you don't want to be messed around by these guys please avoid.

I booked a flight with trip.com in early March 2023 to China. However, due China government has suspended the tourist visa for Singapore Citizens due to the virus. Thus, I have no choice but to cancel the flight. I have tried calling and contacting trip.com, instead of providing me other options to solve the issue, they gave robotic replies: this is a non refundable flight, if you would like to have a refund, please liaise with the airline direct.

Why do I need to liaise with the airline directly myself when I bought the tickets from third-party seller (Trip.com)? Are you asking me to do your job for you? Also, I did liaise with the airlines myself and they told me the same thing that any request for refunds has to be made by Trip.com as the tickets are bought via Trip.com.

While Trip.com is telling me to look for airline directly to get an approval email for refund, then come back to Trip.com for refund processing. The airline's CS agent has checked for me and mentioned that there were no calls or emails from Trip.com to assist on my case for request of refund. Is this just for show to make me accept the option you give me (only tax refund based on airline policy)? Trip.com has to convince me to make your email response credible.

This is UNACCEPTABLE!

Tell me a solution and not some robotic answers!

The customer service are not helpful at all. They lied about assisting to escalate or spoke to airline employee on my issue but it was not true, because there wasnt any records from the airline side. Who to believe now?'

If there is an option to not click on the overall rating, I would have given a 0 star instead of 1 star.

Awful service. Avoid at all costs!

I was redirected to Trip.com from Skyscanner when I was looking for flights from the UK to Italy. Unfortunately for the date I needed to flight, I had to have a stopover in Spain for my inbound. Their website was misleading as it did calculate the self transfer time of 45 minutes from the time of landing to the time of the next takeoff, not taking into consideration that it takes a while before they open the airplane doors; you are transferred to the airport, you go through security and then you proceed to gate and board. Obviously, even if you are Usain Bolt, you could never make it, mainly because the time is not calculated while you are already in the airport and it does not depend on you but on airport staff. Trip.com did bot help at all, they were quite jaded, not really caring, saying Thank You several times without really meaning it. No accountability. No credibility. Not really taking the responsibility for a misleading ad and not really investigating if the time for self transfer was sufficient (it wasn't- as a matter of fact).

Avoid this firm. Terribile experience.

My flight was canceled due to the weather conditions and rights for a full refund for that ticket was granted by the airline, which I had to do through a scam agency. So this scammer refunded only 2€ of 149€ I paid for the ticket.
Luckily, I got the ticket using PayPal. These ppl in that scam company also established tactics such as embroidering, and manipulating..., so that you miss the deadline in Paypal for the "report issue" processes. If you do it, you get combation of threat (legal proceedings against you), manupulation ("we are unable to process a full refund since there is a potential for a charge back threat") and emotional blackmail ("Trip.com will suffer an unfair loss").
So this scam company is very good in scamming and manupulating but sh*t in the job they supposed to do.

No refund as promised

Reference: flight from [Sydney to Bangkok] one-way ticket [*******674]

I have booked a flight from Sydney to Bangkok with Air Asia via trip.com (3/1/2022), as a transit flight to HK. They have changed their flight date to a whole day prior (24 hours, so 2/1/2022). Since it was a transit flight, i cancelled it as it would be too long of a wait for the next flight.

Trip.com claimed that I can receive my refund by 16/1/2022, but I have received no refund. So i sent them an email and asked for information. I then subsequently send them 20+ emails only to receive generic similar replies from Cherry, Abbie, Jerrick, Krisha,Mariam, Richie, Mahmoud, Rozy, Rain, Jolin, John, Stephanie, Mani, Fatema that I should just WAIT after contacting the airline.This means that NOBODY is following my case, nobody is reading previous emails, and i have to repeat my situation every time:
A) I cannot reach air asia for my refund as it is booked by their agency
B) trip.com would not provide me a date where I would definitely receive a refund (even claiming half year is okay as long as they can do it)
C) I asked trip.com what policy they would have if Air Asia keep prolonging my refund or refuse to provide me with refund (e.g.like for more than 3 months) - they reply they will just wait for the airline - which means this agency has no protection for securing refunds at all but they scontinue to work with such shaddy airlines (I read online now that air asia is notorious for not giving back refunds - why would trip.com work with them if so?)
D) I cannot claim my insurance yet due to this "uncertainty" - with no provided date but a forever waiting of my refund

I have had good services from trip.com before, this is such a big disappointment. They have lost a long term customer.

Worst ticketing agent ever!

I am alerted that my flight is cancelled by airline. When I reached out to trip.com customer contact that the flight has to be done since it is very urgent, they said no replacement flight is available. I insisted that they should help my flight happened as I booked through them, they said they are just ticketing agent and cannot help with anything. There is simply nothing they can do. The best is to apply for refund which cannot be mentioned how long it will take and not sure it will happen or not. They the most irresponsible service provider I have seen so far. Now, they dont even respond to my mails. Such a fraud company indeed.

I requested for a refund or a voucher for future use on bereavement grounds. The customer service reps were positive and promised to help out, and spoke so sweetly too. I sent all the requested documents, death certificate of my mother, relationship establishment, notarized documents but they just wasted time. I had to cancel 3 days before the flights, and got a little less than 30% refund.

One of the worst companies ever. Please AVOID. Booked return flights. Needed to change the outbound flight. Expected to pay an admin fee but they wanted me to pay £1100 to change on to an earlier flight. It's actually 60% cheaper to book brand new return flights (and would have been 65% cheaper to book new flights with them but I would never give them my money again!). Also lied and said BA wouldn't let turn cancel one leg of the flight which I know is wrong as BA told me it could be done, but only by trip.com
They're also awful at communication. Their responses never make any sense and you can never get a straight answer from them.
The most useless company ever.

Ps I have already tried to raise the issue as they asked me to do below. And surprise surprise they still cannot help. How can it be more expensive to amend the flight than to purchase new ones? Just plain greedy

I just booked a ticket from Auckland NZ to LAX for December. I panicked after reading negative posts so I contacted Trip.com immediately. It turned out I panicked for nothing. My ticket was issued as I was communicating with customer service. They were very helpful. I did click the button to "expedite." Not sure if it had anything to do with ticket being issued immediately. Hope this helps. It does appear they are legit so I would use Trip.com again.

Do not trust this company. Flight cancelled and they initially promised a refund within 7 days. It has now been over a month and despite numerous emails and phone calls there is still no refund. They are constantly changing the timeframe for the refund and clearly are trying to avoid paying me.

Esa pagina es una estafa. Yo pague un fin de hospedaje, al llegar al hotel no me quisieron dar la habitación argumentando que trip no les habia pagado a ellos, en trip no m resolvieron nada y tuve que pagar otro hotel para mi estadia. Posterior a eso levante una reclamación para recuperar mi dinero y jamas me lo devolvieron, siempre dando largas al asunto, hable al hotel para preguntarles si en algun momento los contactaron de trip.com y me dijeron que no, nunca y que era el tercer caso del que sabian acerca de esa estafa, MUCHO CUIDADO CON ESA PAGINA.

If I could give a minus rating I would. Not to be a cliche but I never write reviews but the service I've received from Trip.com is diabolical. In short, I'm in a dispute with my bank and Trip.com after having to file for a refund under Section 75 consumer act because Trip.com refuses to give me a refund for flights that I was previously told were eligible to change and/or cancel before April 2023 (the flights are from 2020). My friend and I booked on the same flights at the exact same time yet have both received different outcomes. We have been told different things over email and over phone, and depending on the customer service advisor you speak to, your outcome will be different?! The whole process is not user-friendly, is so confusing, and quite frankly feels as though it was made that way by design. Trip.com will find any loophole they can find to con customers out of a dream holiday so please please just go direct through the airline providers. I'm hoping my claim with my bank will go through and I will receive a full refund. If not, I will escalate to Trading Standards and get Trip.com shut down once and for all.
