Over all the years I have booked with Trip, I have found the staff friendly and solutions focused whenever I have a prob or concern.
The website look and feel can be complicated at first sight, esp re addons but its manageable. I have also found that the gaps in being able to find the relevant fights can also be frustrating, and those flights might be visible on skyscanner, its group affiliate;
But seriously, these points can be ironed out by being precise with the questions you ask their staff
Overall, so far a good satisfying experience!
Miranda Mar is extremely unprofessional. I reserved a hotel that turned out to be filthy and smelled of cigarette smoke. I left immediately and asked for a refund which i was denied. I disputed through my bank which i won and she is harassing me saying they don't give refunds because my reason wasn't valid. Below is what she said:
As per our previous correspondence with you, we have confirmed that you deliberately misrepresented the facts to your financial institution by denying the completed transaction by you without any valid reason.
I didn't misrepresent anything. I shared facts with my bank and clearly enough to get my money back. Trip.com is thee worse!

I have booked a flight ticket via trip.com for BOM-DXB but I haven't received the confirmation PNR for the same. It says you will get it within 48 hours, this is something new for me. Generally whenever I book flight tickets immediately after making the payment I get the confirmation of the PNR. Here we have to wait for 48 hours. Seems to be odd

Terrible service! I made a mistake on my booking and within 2 minutes right after payment was made i contacted them, but instead it just get it coorected, it drags on with reschedule fee and next day a call with ridiculous admin fees all addtional cost just keep adding in gaining more business, where in the first place before airline even release the ticket, they could have helped and cancelled that booking.
All attempt to explain the customer service team just go wasted with nothing that came back, and worse even asking me to proof back of the communication where they them selve have acknowledge over the phone conversation the time i submit my request is 11.37am and the time ticket was issues was 11.47am… 10 mins waste to no action from them, and putting me to still pay the full amount.
Till today i still do not get my refund and they keep claiming the policy is non refundable. So remember,, avoid this trip.com!

Overall a good app, gave me better hotel room rate than others including what direct booking with hotel can offer.
They offer price match if we can find cheaper prices online. They could be even better if they have contents of more travel attractions.

Update is at the bottom
Cancelled a flight. Was sent an email stating a confirmed refund amount of 2XXX. Recevied another email to fill up bank details but the refund amount reflected on the form was 2X.
Contacted agent 1. Agent 1 confirms that the refund amount is 2XXX. Issued a case ID A. There was no resolution.
Contacted agent 2. Agent 2 escalated to "higher management" with case ID B. Was to hear back in 24h to 72h. There was no resolution.
Contacted agent 3. Agent 3 wanted to escalate to "higher management" with a new case ID C. I disagree on the solution and asked for a email of guarantee.
Supervisor of agent 3 called me. Supervisor of agent 3 said she was agent 2. Told me over the phone that the issue was brought up to finance and technical team and there was no resolution, hence she will raise the issue to "higher management". But in the previous correspondence, it was mentioned that she brought it up to "higher management". Said that she could send me an email of guarantee in 10 to 15 minutes. The call lasted 30 minutes with no email.
First and last time with trip.com.

Issue resolved in under 2 weeks since bringing it up.
1. Would have been better if the agent didnt make me feel like im being passed around
2. Refund form shows consolidated amount instead of having different amounts for different forms

I booked a flight and hotel stay through trip.com, but when I noticed it was inappropriate for my child I attempted to cancel and/or change hotels and they did not work with me. They first stated the hotel already had the funds, and then they stated they could change the hotel, only to say again that they can not make the change.

BOOKED TRIP TO PARIS. TRIP.COM SHOWED HOTEL IN ONE LIGHT. ON ARRIVAL IT WAS ABSOLUTELY HORRID. WORSE STILL, STAFF, INCLUDING MANAGER OF ABSOLUTE NO HELP. EVEN OTHER GUEST WERE COMPLAINING.
ON RETURN, CONTACTED TRIP.COM FOR REFUND. TO DATE, THEY HAVE SIDED WITH THE HOTEL DESPITE PLENTY OF EVIDENCE, INCLUDING HAVING CONTRACTED A SKIN RASH WHILST AT THE HOTEL.
ABSOLUTELY NO ONE CARES ABOUT US, THE GUEST. THIS INCLUDES THE CEO, JANE SUN. SHE CAN'T EVEN BE BOTHERED TO RESOND TO EMAILS.

If I could the customer no stars I would
The customer service is appalling.
I needed a refund for train tickets due to the strike I applied for a refund on line after 2 weeks I had nothing so I contacted the next to useless customer service line who are in singapore have no clue about british trains and barely speak english only to be told I need to send the tickets to their office in Edinburgh. There was no mention of that in the cancellation email! Complaint emails ignored talking to them on line or on the phone is pointless you might as well talk to your dog as you will get more sense offered tokens as compensation absolute useless company DONT USE

ATTENTION! Check it out before book with this agency.
The same passport I have used to book my flight at "trip.com" was refused at the airport for the boarding and I lost my 1.300$ flight. "Trip.com" as a travel agency should make sure that customers get to the destination safe and trouble free. One of my family members has health issues and I have to get home asap. I'm a student and buying a new flight is gonna cause me financial inconveniences. I hope they giving me some support with this situation and also making changes in their "platform" or "booking system" then this is not happening to more people.

Long time user of trip.com. But a bug on their system won't let me cancel my ticket or get a refund. I keep getting this error message and told to contact support. I've been trying for weeks and have tried to contact support through all the usual channels: online help, online chat (a bot), phone etc. Everyone of them a dead end.
An incredibly frustration and costly experience. I don't see myself using trip.com again unless something changes.

DON'T BOOK THROUGH THEM.
I've book a few times with trips.com and I've realized you are better booking directly with the airplane, hotel or activity website. If you encounter any problems trips.com won't help you in anyway. They just gonna answer we will contact you, but they won't. They don't care about their customers and maintaining good relationships.
My last last trip to Orlando, hotel, plane and a ticket to Universal was again problematic. I've had to make a change to my universal tickets, and since I did not book through universal, they did wasn't able to make any changes. Something that would have cost me around 10$ to modify, I had to buy news tickets for 400$.
Trips.com, didn't care at all, didn't try to help me, didn't propose me a credit for future use, or anything at all. They just don't give a f...
I still have three trips to book this year, and it's won't be through them. Save yourself time, money and pain and book directly from the company

I bought a couple of tickets from their site and it was very easy and very informative, they give you details about all the addons you can buy and the taxes they will charge you, the only think i didn't see was the TUA, a fee that Mexican airport charge you for airport facilities usage and you need to pay it always, I'm not sure if this is included or not, is not clear, but when i contacted support, they helped me very fast.

When making the reservation, I chose the price for 35kg checked baggage allowance. After that I input 4 names (2 adult and 2 child). After everything is done, only the children get the 35kg, the adult was 0 kg. The worst part is I realized it when I was checking in at the airport. The choice was either paying for the excess almost 70kg (way more expensive than our return ticket for 4 person) or shipped it back home. I was moving from one country to another. Our total bagage was 136 kg, it should be within the allowance of 140kg. But at the check in counter they told me only children has the 35kg allowance. They can not explain why this happened and blame the trip.com. They understand that it is not possible for me to book separately, and we can not book tickets only for two children alone (after or before booking the two adults ticket) so there is no possibilites I made different choices.

My ticket was booked from Pakistan to Canada and explained I have Pakistani passport but as per my ticket I had to change my airport in London where I don't have UK visa, don't confirm my ticket without confirming my visa. Forget it, I cant aboard and ask to reschedule my ticket and get run around to call all the involved airlines and said " if they approve we will reschedule your ticket" knowing that they won't. What a BS answer to get rid of your customers!

Answer: Do not book with them. If anything happens and you need to modify your booking they will not help you. They have canceled people's bookings at the last minute as well. This company is all about the money. Once they have your payment they are done with you. DO NOT book travel arrangements with them. Read the reviews and I'm speaking from experience. The price is good but if anything happens they will take your money and will not help you.
