I reserved a rental car through travelocity. I had to cancel the reservation so I went to the web site and it said unable to cancel please try later. I tried this multiple times up until it was almost to the time of the reservation. I finally just called Budget and canceled it within seconds. However the rental insurance I paid for the 2 day rental was through Travelocity so I had to wait on hold for 20 minutes to be told they could not cancel the insurance on a car I never rented and thus were going to continue the charges for the insurance. Really? Is this how travelocity does business? Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE TRAVELOCITY. They will rip you off.
They booked my flight after telling me it wasn't available because of a fare increase, charged my credit card and didn't send confirmation. The only way I found out was the day before the flight when I receive their "check in" notice along with the flight I booked directly at the airline. Two flights for the same person. I thought, no problem. It's their mistake. Except they will not own up to it, and tried to email me the confirmation itinerary I never received in the first place. Mind you, this flight was not even available at this according to them because the fare had increased. I hope for the $300 fare they enjoy losing this formerly loyal customer. I had used the site dozens of times, but NEVER AGAIN
I can't stand the games this site plays with you. Pretty much all flights are non-refundable, and they charge you $200-$300 to make itinerary changes. However, is this the airlines policy? Generally not. I called Virgin and they said it would be no charge to change flights. Travelocity said that Virgin charges $300 to change flights. Who do you believe? Some call center agent making $9/hour, or the actual airline representative. Hotels.com/Travelocity/Sabre are all the same Persian guy who's been ripping off travelers for two decades now. For shame; for shame. Their hotel prices are the same as booking directly, and there are no rewards for using this site. Booking a trip for two, to wherever, maybe once a year for fixed dates? Fine. Any more than that a forget it.

I have been using this site for some time now, I find the search very friendly (once you are used to it), also the prices are great, I have planned a couple of trips and the prices I found were always the cheapest

I bought trip insurance, they charged fees to change flight and won't change or refund my room charges. Been on the phone twice over an hour with customer service which hasn't gotten me anywhere... really not happy, will never use them again!
I would never deal again with Travelocity! Stay away from them! I bought tickets on sale to Las Vegas with hotel. They called me just few days before the trip to inform me that airline had increased price and i had to pay extra for the package, which I reserved few month ago or it would be cancelled! How is that? The only reason I bought the package was because of the good deal. Otherwise, I could go somewhere else. They got me there and pushed me to pay lots of extra money just few days before the trip, because I could not cancel and it was too late to look somewhere else. Never again!
I rented a car and booked an airline flight with Travelocity this month. There was a problem with the Hertz Rent-A-Car reservation, which was prepaid. Basically, Travelocity was impossible to get a hold of. I tried multiple times to call them, but after 10 or 20 minutes each time nobody answered. Then I tried to make an online email complaint, and basically found out that you can't get a hold of them via online email! I got charged over hundred dollars for a car in Mexico City that I never saw. This company has some serious issues. I strongly recommend anyone reconsider using this service.
I ended up having to reschedule my airline ticket and this was the worst experience. I was on the phone for 5 and a half hours! The people did not have ANY idea what they were doing. I have a lot of experience with stuff like this and i can promise you i am not over exaggerating whatsoever. The service was dreadful and i will never be using it ever again.
I wanted to surprise my girlfriend for Valentine's day. I keep seeing this Travelocity on TV, most especially on our favorite TV show, The Amazing Race so I asked them to book an amazing valentines trip for us. They totally followed what I asked them to do to the dot, they also considered my budget, and even gave us more than what we asked for. They truly helped make our valentines date special and memorable. Thank you so much.
I was on the phone with the manager Jessica and you would think that they would have some respect to not hang up on you when they booked a wrong hotel room for you so while your talking to the manager for the millionth time the manager hangs up on you. When I called the first couple million times nobody picked up but then when they did they booked my room wrong so when I called to tried to fix it with the manager they said I had to pay almost another grand. The manager has no respect at all. Don't book with them or even attempt to you will regret it.
Worst travel agent on the web. Terrible customer service. Travel protection plan is a scam.
You'll regret every minute you spend with them on the phone. I was on hold three times for over an hour each. Customer service agents are from a foreign country - ISIS I suspect by the fact they try to sabotage my travel plans.
I will never use them again and if you get Julie with customer service - hang up.
I hate this site. Wasted many hours trying to find good deals here only to be shown so called sales that were garbage. Just tried getting a hotel in L. A, they said they were giving me a 20% discount, googled the hotel they were showing me already and the direct price was exactly $1.50 more for the same room... I don't know how Travelocity thinks less than 2 bucks is a 20% sale on a $90 hotel, but I call B. S. there. Refuse to return!
First i dont want to come across as a whack job traveler. Business is business... not everything works out... thats life... but decieving people... hiding the facts while pretending to be open... honest isnt right...
Travelocity ad said..."we understand things happen so you need to change your plans"... so i paid $39.95 for insurance to cover what the ad said could be because..."changes for any reason"... should have known... if it sounds too good...
So i take the first leg of my trip... arrive ok flight hotel as promised by them... great... now... i need to change my flight home... sorry..."insurance only covers first flight"...
No where does it say that... says "before departure"... yeah... your first one. Spent an hour on the phone with a rep from travelocity... then a supervisor TC... real name?
Again legalieze... insurance fine print... but honestly why dont they say..."if you make the first flight"... your insurance is of no value...
So if i have a sick daughter... am at my vacation spot first flight over... and need to go home early... i wasted my money on a useless insurance policy... fine print.

Dont think so and now... i know. Dont buy the insurance. I wont use travelocity or expedia... yeah they are related... again sad... i used them and trusted them but can u sell something that is deceptive... and not be affected?
Had many flight cancellation on my trip could not get trough to cancel room payment on hotel so I had to pay for somthing I did not stay in will not use this site again
About half the costs of other sites and I like comparing prices in their sites format.
This seems to be the easiest of the online travel sites. I prefer to use them, but still check other sites just incase I can get a better deal.
Never had experience with a company with so many "technical errors". Everything from online booking issues, customer service repeatedly telling me to call back because they can't help because their system is down, triple charging my credit card, and the slowest customer service reps were just a few reasons I won't use ever again!
Answer: They tell you that you can use the credit within 12 months. When you try to book the flight, there is no way to apply the credit yourself, so you have to speak with a rep to do it. They place you on hold for hours! When you finally do speak with someone who can help you, you are told there is a re-booking fee added to be able to use the credit, making it cost more than if you just purchase a new ticket without adding the "credit"! Bottom line is that they say there is no penalty and that you get the credit, but you do not. They are liars and unethical, at best.
Answer: Bridgett, It is simply because this company has terrible, and I mean TERRIBLE customer service! It seems like the people who gave positive reviews have not had to make any changes in their arrangements--if they needed to change something, I believe their experience would have been negative. Who wants to do business with a company that is only a fair weather friend? Not me! This was by far the WORST experience I have had in dealing with a company. I will never use them again and I tell everyone I can to avoid them.

Answer: I totally disagree, you will never understand if you don't like to understand. If you try tonipen your ears and listen carefully without so much objections in mind, i bet you will understand. If you are a frequent flyer, you will know that these travel agencies has no control of the policies of the tickets, as they are implemented by airlines. And when you book a trip online, either from travel agencies or airlines websites, you will be informed of the policies. I bet you know how to read and understands simple english word, like non refundable right?
