Travelocity Reviews Summary

Travelocity's reputation is predominantly marred by negative customer experiences, particularly concerning their customer service and refund policies. Many customers express frustration over poor communication, lack of support, and difficulties in obtaining refunds for canceled bookings. Complaints often highlight unexpected fees, miscommunication regarding rental agreements, and unfulfilled service promises. While a few reviews mention competitive pricing, the overwhelming sentiment suggests that the potential savings are overshadowed by the company's perceived dishonesty and inadequate service. Overall, customers advise caution when considering Travelocity for travel arrangements, emphasizing a lack of trust in the company's practices.

Youssef is an amazing private guide my family used to see the sights of the Medina and Tanger Morocco. He was recommended by a top hotel doorman. He made us feel like family and kept my two young children entertained and feeling safe with a desire to go back! Highly recommended. Phone is +212 6 66 37 64 03

This is the worst travel company. Customer service is horrible. Save yourself the aggravation and book through the airlines directly. They make changes to your iternary and don't make you aware of them and then you when you call them they want to charge you a change fee for something they changed. They should get a negative rating

Booked a trip from MCO to DCA to MCO to PNS. I was charged $804. I was told that Jet Blue had a schedule change and cancelled my ticket. The second agent told me that it was a Jet Blue ticket operated Silver Airways who would not honor their leg. I tracked this flight for three weeks and booked it. After three hours talking to various agent and being escalated, I was then told that even though it is being advertised, Silver Airways changed their agreement with Jet Blue. Here it is the following day and the fare is still being advertised for the route and flights that I booked. A manager finally told me he would expedite the processing of my refund since I no longer wanted to travel and pay $200 more. The refund should process in 15 days. That is BS. I just got a call (15 hrs after my 3 hr ordeal) to notify me that the ticket would cost $200 more. I told them that I want my money back and to process the refund immediately. I have been on the phone for 25 minutes (now on hold) while the agent gets help. Remember, they called me, I did not call them. Apparently the call center overseas handles Hotwire and Travelocity. L I was surprised that agents accidentally said, "Hotwire" when they meant, Travelocity... it happended 4 times by agents and once by their "Hold" advertisement. The last agent told me she was cancelling my reservation. I told her that it was done yesterday and that I have a reference #. The agents were horrific, each had a different reason why my flight was not ticketed, and nobody could tell me why I was not notified. Going to the airport with a confirmation number and finding out there is not ticket is not a good way to try to travel. No Stars for Travelocity on this one.

I have been a loyal Travelocity customer for years, having probably booked $7,500 of flights and hotels, especially for my work-related international travel. I will never do so again after I needed international support yesterday and your team failed utterly. Arriving at Sydney from the US, I found that my hotel was locked. The hotel did not answer my phone call, so I called Travelocity to help, given that I booked the hotel--Valentine on George--via your site (itinerary # **************). No one had any idea what to do. I was transferred to five different people; with each I had to start from scratch; the third person was a manager who promised me that I would be the last person I spoke with, but he then transferred me to one of your hotel managers, who then transferred me back to main bookings. I'm appalled at the lack of training and professionalism that your team displayed. While I managed to get access to the hotel (that's another review), I now have a $75 intl. Call bill. Disgrace!

I booked a nice condo on the beach of pcb, fl. The night before, at almost midnight i was notified that my reservations had been canceled! I called the number provided to deal with the situation. The woman asked what I was looking for and why I booked the prior room. I stated it was beachfront and accommodated 4. She then asked me to hold while she called around. Then asked me if it was ok to not be beachfront I said" no are you kidding me, my vacation starts tomorrow and I already paid for this condo beachfront. " She puts me on hold again. She returns stating that she found a one bedroom suite with fold out couch full view on beachfront rd. I then agreed. I arrived at the hotel 3 miles from the beach and nothing I agreed to. I called and spoke with about 6 representatives that stated its my fault cause I agreed, even though I agreed under false pretenses. The woman Told me what I wanted to hear to get me off the phone apparently. The hotel I got stuck at was no where within walking distance. When i checked out the hotel Fairfield inn and suites in pcb, fl I was printed out a receipt stating I owed 0.00 when I checked out. Hours later I was charged 170.00. I called and disputed, they said they found a cigarette butt stuffed in a shower drain. I stated that there was no vents, and no balcony and I had children in the room and nobody was smoking in the room. The manager Scott said he would call me back after looking into it. I never recieved a call back, however, I did receive a notification that another $250.00 was deducted out of my account! This causing my account to bounce! Their response is to call back and speak with Scott again. This whole situation has caused my anxiety and stress levels to be so high it literally ruined my whole vacation!

CHARGED TWICE!
June 17, 2016

I attempted to book a flight using a debit card but Travelocity said it did not go through. I thought is was my daily limit was exceeded so I used another card. Come to find out I was charged TWICE for a portion of our ticket prices ($1,098 TWICE!). Travelocity is not sure they can do anything to resolve this! I would have never used this site if I knew this was a possibility and there was no indication from Travelocity that this could occur! Very upset!

Bad customer care
May 30, 2016

A travelocity agent made a mistake with my booking changes. I called back and They kept transfering me from on agent to another and were not helpful at all. They made me wait several hours on the phone and kept giving me weird excuses and apologizing for their mistake but said they are not able to fix it. My friend had a similar bad experience with them, abd advised me not to use them, i should have listened.

POOR SERVICE
May 14, 2016

We bought an airline ticket through Travelocity in March 2016 to travel August 2016. Had to cancel the second week of May 2016 due to the Zika outbreak. They refuse to refund our money even though we had travel protection. We received a credit for the cost of the tickets $899.00 and then was told we would have to pay $400.00 for a rebooking fee. This does not make any sense to me. Can someone offer an explanation.

These people continually claim that they have flights available at a stated price, however after you have entered all your information they tell you that they, "hate it when this happens", but increase the price approx 20%. They are a waste of your time and should be put out of business. Very unethical!

This company was a leader but they now have terrible service! They changed my flight reservation and never notified me. I booked a rental car with collision damage and paid 2X the rate at the counter.

Do yourself a favor and go direct to airline, rental company and hotel. You don't need this middleman messing up your precious few vacation days.

Just an update to my previous review.

I recently booked a hotel room through this company. When I received the charges and found that they were in US dollars, I chose to cancel, as it was too much money. I was not refunded the full amount. The company could not resolve the issue by email, even though I had received an email confirming that I would be refunded the full amount. I had to call, and when speaking to the representative Becky, she was rude, condescending, and very unhelpful, and I had a long wait to speak with a supervisor. As per the supervisor's instructions, I sent them the requested information to receive a full refund, and have still been denied the money. Although the company says that there are not cancellation fees, that not true and you will not be refunded the full amount. Avoid booking with them at all costs in the future.

- based on online advertisement on 3/18/16, made rservation over the phone for package deal including 2 rooms at hotel. This was an hour call. When in receipt of the trip iineary it was for 1 room, but charged me the price for 2 rooms $3,871.00 total package price. Charged to Visa. After calling on 3/21/16 to aprise them error. They claimed they needed 10 days to review call, but never did anything after 12 days. Tried to charge me another $1,590.00 for another room. I spent a total of 6 hours on hold in a 10 day period. They are keeping $2,149.00. I am forced to make addtional reservations somewhere else now. Today, 4/6/16, I am reporting fraud to Visa and a stop payyment. I have copies of the online adds as well. I want my $2,149.00 returned as a result of the error made by the booking agent.
