You suck and are a bunch of lier's.
July 23, 2019

The company lies. They make you believe your getting the correct eng to make model and year car is that your looking for.its B's.not only was eng a different block with different bolt sizes than original eng it also looked like they pulled it out of a junk pile and said Walla good eng with less than 79,000 on it.it was not cleaned, most of the accessories that come with eng we're broke, and the looks of all the gaskets it had well over 130,000 on it and no paperwork to prove it had what they said they were shipping. They are scammers scammers scammers. Found out eng came from Pennsylvania and had over 130,000 on the eng they sent me. I WILL NEVER NEVER NEVER RECOMMEND this company for anything and will make sure what liers they are to all the mechanics who I personal know not to ever ever even consider them and that they should pass the word on. Dont know how they can stay in business with the s@#$ they send out. Your review SW Engines is a big fat 0. Worst company I have ever dealt with. Good luck to anyone who uses them. Your in for a big disappointed and a empty wallet. Look around before you buy an eng or anything.its worth the time and you will find a better product than what SW Engines can give you.

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!
April 19, 2019

The tell you every engine is inspected and tested before leaving there shop. BS! They sent me a engine with no paperwork to prove it has 79k miles (looks like it came from a junk yard). They also have another website qualityengines.com (the one I bought from). They promote they have a warranty but it doesn't cover anything. SCAM

Incredibly rude and dismissive sales staff
February 13, 2019

Today, I called to ask about an engine. I gave him the engine number. The gentleman ("Joe") in sales asked me what it was from. (It is a Toyota engine which was installed by the manufacturer in a Toyota chassis for use in a small Winnebago--all stock). When I told him that, he get a few words out, "We won't warranty that because of" and hung up on me. There was zero hostility or argument in our conversation. He was just rude to someone looking for the right replacement engine. He just hung up on me. I called back to find out what was the problem in selling me the engine, and he interrupted me and told me "you just need to learn to take no for an answer" in the most dismissive voice he could muster. No adult deserves to be treated this way simply trying to make a purchase of an engine. This gentleman was no child. He knew better. For reference, I can't think that I've ever been moved to make a negative review on the Internet about a company.

I purchased an engine from this company "SWEngines". The engine was sent to a Mechanic.
During shipping my car was stolen from my driveway. I spoke with a warranty person who told me to have the Engine rejected when it arrived from my Mechanic. My Mechanic failed to do so but that's another issue. He was going to waive the shipping fee and just charge a 25% restocking fee which he was going to try and have that waived too since I was dealing with the theft and all.
I called and Called trying to see if the Engine had arrived back at the company only to find out weeks later it was still at the mechanics. I asked for Managers and personnel to return my calls. No one did. My wife called and spoke with a sales person who was rude to her and hung up on her.
Today 09/24/2018 I called and Spoke with a "Warranty Manager" who told me he couldn't waive any of the fees if I returned it and then he told me to stop calling. Although he rudely told me to have a good day it was over at that point my blood was boiling.
Reason of review: Return, Exchange or Cancellation Policy.
Monetary Loss: $1495.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
I didn't like: Failed to meeting shipping dates, Service after warranty invoked, Customer service, Unreasonable warranty requirement, Rude staff.

When the engine of my car recently broke down, I had no idea where to go. Though I made up mind to purchase a new car engine for my car, thanks to one of my friends, who suggested me to contact SW Engines if I want affordable used engines including extended warranty and amazing quality. I simply want to thank my friend here because it was only because of him; I was able to get an impeccable quality used engine for price that was within my reach, and with up to 3 year extended warranty.

I met this used engine supplier while seeking an ideal used engine for my car. Though at first it seemed like a scrape, after purchasing one used engine for my car for $8400 total with core charge, I knew they are genuine supplier and unlike others deliver the engines within what they promise. Apart from their used engines for affordable price, they too have many other great things such as their cultured staff, products delivery, quality and more.

SW Engines. Not bad but not great
June 23, 2018

The original ordering process was simple and they even offered me a $100 discount on my engine for a 2011 GMC Sierra 1500. Getting through to customer service and being able to track my order was a little bit of a hassle. But it was delivered on the day they said it would be with the engine intact on a fairly short crate. They claimed this engine had only 53k miles but after inspecting as best we could without tearing it down I dont believe that is accurate. But we got it installed and it fired right up with no problems. I did activate the warranty online within the allotted timeframe but have not received any confirmation that its all good. We shall see. Lets keep our fingers crossed that this engine is good. Overall I would give them a 3. Customer service leaves something to be desired.

I ordered an engine from this company and it cost $8400 total with core charge. I paid for it and was told it would arrive in aprox 5- 10 days. I waited over a 1 1/2 months and still no engine. I called up numerous times and no one every calls back. I get an email indicating its shipping out soon and after another three weeks still no motor. I finally get one person on the phone and tells me they lost it in shipping. He then tells me he will call back on Monday. No call period back, I leave two more messages on Tuesday and not return call. I call again both Thursday and Friday and finally get a person on the phone. The shipper tells me the manager lied and the engine was never shipped as it was found to be defective months prior. The basically used my $8400 as a free loan. I finally get a manager on the phone and hangs up saying they will refund the money as he hangs up. I tried and call back to confirm how and just continues to hang up and laugh as he does it. How can anyone really write a positive review about a company that behaves this way. I own a bunch of large shops and could never think to handle a customer this way, especially one that just wants to confirm how they get the refund back. I could only imagine if the engine was bad when they shipped it out and had to get help for this group a losers to resolve. Good luck with staying in business as you have no clue.

I bought an engine for Nissan Frontier in May 2016. My shop installed engine using SWengines "Required Installation Procedures." That engine was defective, burning 1-2 quarts oil per 1000 miles. I requested new engine. SWengines said it was orignally not coverd by warranty (in one part of warranty is said excessive oil consumption was covered; in the "finer print" it said that issus was not covered.) They required me to obtain $558 of diagnosis from my shop -- they even requested/required a "differential compression test" from the mechanic in a 3-way telephone call. Finally, after many phone calls and emails and about three months, they agreed to replace the defective engine. But SWengines reimbursed only $660 of $2272 (including the $558 diagnosis they required) that it cost me to follow their required installation procedures, and will not warrant the replacement (2nd) engine. It took about 2.5 months to provide the 2nd (replacement) engine, and they never provided details about the mileage or other factors about that engine (luckily it is working well). I would not do business with this company again. I am considering suing for the $1612 I'm out of pocket on the 2nd engine replacement cost. Ken
