It was easy enough to fill out the forms and have my dog qualify as an ESA; however, when we traveled with our dog, the hotels did not exempt us from the pet charge because our dog was NOT a trained service dog, and the states (at least where we travel) don't grant ESA animals the same rights as service animals. So we didn't gain anything with the ESA qualification.
So far so good...I will feel better when I get the certificate and see if it works as needed while traveling.
