Smartfares listed the best flight option in terms of price on Kayak. Throughout the entire booking process, the same price was listed. After completing the payment details and pushing the purchase button, I looked at my credit card account and noticed that they charged 7% more than the price shown on Kayak, and their own website. I didn't select anything to increase the price.

Worst experience of my life. Paid one price for a ticket only to be told I couldn't get that flight because the airline is no longer fly planes. Then had to pay almost double to rebook
After booking, I was told that the fare I had booked was sold out and I had to pay more.
I asked to cancel the ticket and the person assisting kept trying to negotiate a new fare, offering discounts.
I asked multiple times that they cancel if the fare was unavailable and in the end they confirmed the ticked at the same fare that was booked.
The experience gave me a lot of anxiety and was very bullish. In the end, I was relieved to get confirmation of the tickets I booked.
Advisors were not help and would hang up on me without saying a word. I don't think I have ever had such $#*! experience with customer service. I am never the type to write reviews but holy $#*! it was hot $#*! customer service. Did the people who trained all the employees even get trained himself. Tried to save a couple bucks but it was not worth the hassle of going thru this company. If you can change my rating to 0 stars I'd appreciate it

Tried fixing payment as bank declined as suspected fraud. Tried 5 days, 4 emails, 7 times on zenagent, with no feedback or disconnection. Phones 2 times, holding on for more than 10 min. Eventually got through and qouted 35% more than I can get on Kayak with smartfares! This is unexceptable and trying to extort clients!
Once I paid and talk customer care they told the ticket price are high now you have to pay more which is wrong I ask them to refund and they say they will deduct 50 gbp and asking to may be extra 50 Gbp for ticket and it's was such a worst experience.
At first i thought the smart fare was good until I recieved an email my card was declined because of a small error on my behalf by not adding the fact that i asked to have a seat beside the window which was extra and not adjusting my payment accordingly. I called the required number to sort the issue out until the representative named Cooper then wanted to charge me more for my booking as he said the price had gone up and the original price i wanted was no more. After I agreed and realised that I am being duped by what he said and I agreed I phoned Cooper back and had a bit of a heated discussion with cooper and wanted to cancel the booking. After rebooting my phone and refreshing the site i checked to see if the fares had indeed gone up by 50 us dollars and they had not. I informed Cooper of this and he stated that it takes awhile for it to be updated and i told him that i would cancel and rebook on the same fare i originally booked it on to prove my point. Cooper then decided to reverse the increased booking to the original booking i had made and was to refund me back 50 us dollars. I agreed to that and asked for it in writing the refund and the receipt of the booking which I finally got in my emails. Matter resolved after standing my ground. I thanked Cooper for the change.
I contacted the chat support because my card payment was declined, but the website wouldn't let me enter another card. The chat support provided helpful assistance, but afterward, I received two emails attempting to charge me an additional fee for a cost update, which I wasn't notified about when I made my last, successful payment.
The price was the best and the service was very smooth. Got an airline confirmation in a day and I was able to verity my reservation with the airline. All is good to go!

The next day you will receive an email to call them immediately because they were unable to confirm your flight. When you call them back, they will try to sell you another flight at a much higher price. SCAM SCAM AVOID!

Answer: Yes. They stated because of flight increase they canceled my flights. Then they wanted me to pay a balance of what the new increase was. So disappointing. I paid for four fares. They took the funds from the bank n then canceled my flights.
