This was my first time using this site and I must say that it's quite user friendly and easy to use.
Smartfares charges my ticket with a different amount as the websites claimed. On the website, it confirmed the total amount for the fair was 5353.26 CAD. I also got a confirmed invoice through email
For 5353.26 CAD paid. However, Smaertfares charged me 4109.12 U$ on the credit card I provided, which it turned into 5735.26 CAD. It can be interpreted as false advertisement or a fraudulenty transaction. It took me more than 45 mins communicating with the agents through online chat and over the phone. They seemed to having no idea how to address the issue. The agent online kept responding with the same answers like a robot. The agent over the phone prompted me if I don't confirm this booking, the price will be up again...because their "pricing online is never updated to reflect the real deal". The online agent (Mike) offered me a special deal of U$ 4489 (which is more expensive than U$4109 online), if I give him permission to cancel my booking. The whole conversation over the phone sounded so fishy and elegitimate. So I decided to speak with the online agent through chat. As I didn't pay extra fee for a guaranteed purchasing, so I didn't have a chance to canceled the booking within 24 hours. Smaertfares has to fix this currency issue in the future to keep the transparency and accuracy of the pricing, even though it often offers great deals.

The next day you will receive an email to call them immediately because they were unable to confirm your flight. When you call them back, they will try to sell you another flight at a much higher price. SCAM SCAM AVOID!

Answer: Yes. They stated because of flight increase they canceled my flights. Then they wanted me to pay a balance of what the new increase was. So disappointing. I paid for four fares. They took the funds from the bank n then canceled my flights.
