Place an order on 12/1/21. Order lost. Replaced order with overnight delivery. Five days later no photos. Customer service down, so no one to speak with. No refund. No Christmas photos this year. Will never order through Shutterfly again. Use SNAPFISH or a reputable company.
I ordered Christmas cards on Nov 28, the cards were ready and shipped on Dec 3, it's Dec 13 and my Christmas cards still have not arrived. You would think if you spend over $80, they would ensure you get your package at a reasonable timeframe. Won't be using them anymore
Told my order was 'lost' after website kept changing delivery day as well as carriers from UPS, to USPS to Ontrac! Worse yet, they will show fictitious nonsensical package tracking updates, eg. Package generated in Vancouver at 9:02pm, appearing in Chandler AZ at 8:55pm & back to Vancouver at 8:54pm. I have been told different stories by 4 different CS agents: "It will arrive today." "It is running late" "It was delivered already" and finally "It appears to be lost" I am awaiting a replacement order that so far has the same ridiculous fictitious tracking. The best part is I only had to pay once for this order I know I will never receive. Btw, no one who works there knows who the CEO is or who to turn to for help. The lost photos were personal, sentimental and time sensitive for a gift. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM SHUTTERFLY. There are reputable sites out there - better yet, take your photos on a chip to Target or Walmart. At least then you know WHO is viewing your photos and you keep control of them, get them immediately and will save yourself the hours of frustration.
I completed a personalized order of many items. At checkout, however, the shipping charge was $33.00 on a $90 order. Never again will I order from Shutterfly.

In spite of charging separately for shipping on top of he exorbitant price of a simple photo album, the album took over 2 weeks to get delivered after it was shipped.
Terrible service, way too overpriced. My next album will be with Walgreens or CVS at a fraction of the cost and better service.
If I could I would give them ZERO. LIARS and THIEVES! 3 weeks I waited and nothing. Each time... "it will be there tomorrow and we will issue a refund. Well... I kept telling them I depart out of the country on 12/13, at which point this is totally pointless. You see, I am dying of breast cancer and wanted to share a holiday note. Thank you Shutterfly for ruining this for me. Liars. Thieves. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME or EFFORTS.
After placing an order, their website gave a range from date of order was supposed to be 5-7 business days. Within 24 hours I received a text that the order was shipped, but a quick follow up showed the carrier was waiting for the package. 10 days later, it is still showing the same message and says an estimated delivery date will be set when the carrier scans the package. They offer no customer service blaming the carrier and the season. Meanwhile they will do nothing to help. Big mistake ordering from them. One I will not make again.
Had to chase my Christmas card order down. Already 4 days late. Now promise to deliver 5 days from now - should not take 18 days to get Christmas cards. Shutterfly is unwilling to give me a full refund. Will never use them again. They charged my credit card $120 and I still have not Christmas cards. They have lost a customer in me.
I ordered 2 photo blankets at the beginning of November. It's not the 10th of December and I have had to reorder both blanket 2 times then when I did finally received the blankets one was good the other one had 5 of the 9 heads cut off. When i reviewed my order it showed everthing was placed properly so I am no waiting on one blanket for the third time and being a Christmas gift it is prolly not Going to make it to me on time. When I called customer service because I live in canada they would not do anything to get it to me faster. So here I am playing the waiting game and stressing that it won't be here in time. The first photo is what I thought was coming... the second photo is what I actually got. Having said all that... the blanket was very nice and the pictures turned out beautifully just disappointed all the heads were cut off.
Shipping gets delayed daily and I can't get a straight answer from support. The best they could do was a $10 refund on a $130 order. Nothing will get here in time for the holidays. I'm hoping they don't misuse my content/media but I couldn't get a straight answer on that either. Absolute garbage company.
Haven't sent Christmas cards in a few years and decided to do it this year. Ordered from Shutterfly and opted for the envelope inserts, which I thought would be a nice touch. Expected them to come already in the envelopes to make it easy. Unfortunately, they were completely separate with a fiddly, poorly constructed sticky strip, which was impossible to reveal due to the protector strip over it, which would not separate. Took me 3x the normal time to envelope the cards due to this and had to throw away many of the inserts. I will probably finish my cards not even using them. A great example of an innovation which is completely un-customer focused and poorly designed. It's been so frustrating that I doubt I'll order from Shutterfly again. I'll use a competitor.
I have tried over and over to create an album on shutterfly's website and it constantly stops and says all snap can't do it. Their website stinks you can't make an album
The CEO should fire him or herself... twice. I cant recall the last time I had such horrific customer service. They are slow and dumb. I only wanted to place a simple simple first order of 38 photo prints uploaded from my lap top. Every time I asked a simple question I got put on hold, over and over and over. Took about 3 hours total including my prep time to finally get a not so bad idiot to do the order.

When you call to complain the agent who speaks limited English gets disconnected.
After 3 calls to Shutterfly, I finally got an agent who was willing to send me a $15 refund.
I was told that my order is already in production, so I can not change it.
I placed my order last night with reservations, but there were no agents on duty to accept my call.
I would not recommend using Shutterfly.

I've ordered various items from Shutterfly and have always been so impressed. I ordered a tumbler recently and those pictures turned out fantastic as well. Thank you Shutterfly!
I was always pleased to order pics from Shutterfly but over the years, they made more and more difficult to do simple thing like order prints. Both the phone & chat customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I am sorely disappointed.
My family member's heads were cut off on 4 out of the 6 photos on my Christmas card. I know for a fact that's not how it looked when I edited the card and placed my order. I receive an email from Shutterfly saying there's a delay on shipping. No big deal, that's why I ordered them early. When the cards showed up, I immediately called customer service and the representative told me they would cover the cost to correct and re-order the cards, but it would cost me $9 to ship them. When I asked why (they're the ones who messed up my order and I already paid for shipping on the first batch!) he said he could get the price down to $7.53. I ended up paying the 7 dollars because it's the middle of November and I want to make sure I get my cards sent out on time.
I believe this is a scam they run on customers every year to get more money out of them and you can't convince me otherwise.
They deserve every bad review they get.
My order starts at $43.02 and jumps to $105.48 to get it shipped. That's over $60! Absolutely not happening, what kind of ridiculous shipping cost is that?!?
I stupidly ordered a $99 sherpa blanket from shutterfly with a photo printed on it, obviously. The material of the blanket is not sherpa but some cheap china $#*! they want to pass off as sherpa. What a joke. What a waste of money and no response when trying to contact them. NEVER again.
