Absolutely awful I ordered multiple items even told my kids and they ordered we had everything done by Dec 11 submit booked magnets photo prints etc everything should have been here by Dec 16 to 18
Here we are Dec 22nd 2 days away from Christmas eve AND NO PRESENTS FOR MY FAMILY MEMBERS ( MOTHER GRANDMOTHER. ETC) the tracking doesn't work it just falls off the map with no details. I called they saw what I was talking about a d reordered for me and told me not to worry AGAIN HAD FALLEN OFF THE MAP and PART HASN'T EVEN SHIPPED YET. SO AGAIN NO PRESENTS TWICE AND NO VALID RELIABLE TRACKING. I WILL NEVER ORDER. FROM HERE AGAIN AND I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO. AND MERRY CHRISTMAS TO MU 5 AND 7 YEAR OLD WHO WORKED SO HARD PICKING PICTURES AND PUTTING TOGETHER THERE PHOTO BOOK FOR THERE GRANDPARENTS AND PHOTOS FOR THERE GREAT GRANDMA JUST TO BE SO EXCITED AND HAVE NOTHING TO GIVE FOR CHRISTMAS SHUTTER FLY SHOULD BE ASHAMED I am up loading 1 of my 3 reorder forms remember this happed on 3 separate orders
While the site provides a myriad of options, products, and tools, actually getting product from Shutterfly has been problematic Shipping estimates were consistently wrong by over a week or two. I placed three orders. None arrived within 3 days of the shipping estimate. In fact, one left NC to NY, then to OH, NY again, now OH (9 days after the arrival estimate). Also, all three showed as shipped 3 to 4 days before they were actually handed to a shipper.
Shutterfly screwed up two Xmas card orders in a row and despite a promise to rush the corrected cards, they didn't come. When I enquired, Shutterfly simply cancelled my order, refunding my money but leaving me without the Xmas cards and too little time to order from some other company with better reviews. So I called the CEO of the company that owns Shutterfly, as per Google, Mr. Marc Rowen of Apollo Global Management@ *******540 and left a message about how Shutterfly was, in my opinion, giving his conglomerate a bad reputation. I'm waiting to hear back. Happy Holidays!
Ordered a month before Christmas. Never arrived. Randomly charged 31 extra dollars and still no presents.
Took me 3 days to get someone on the phone 4 days before I need the gift that they "lost" then she gonna ask if I want to reorder. No thanks! Lost package my $#*!. It never got scanned onto a delivery service. Never again! Even Walmart personalized gifts don't take 2 months to recieve! Wont waste my time or money again.
I had very bad experience with ordering mugs: I started with the price 6.99$ for mug and free shipping as a promotion, I made order, saw the price, was very happy, then added more mugs, then I saw that price for mugs suddenly doubled to 13$ plus shipping price. I texted for help, representative sent the code, price looked better, but more for about $3. I said it OK, continued shopping, added more mugs< came back to cart: price doubled for mug. I texted again: received different promotion,, deleted added mugs, BUT final price was 55$ with new promotion(compare to 32$ at the beginning). Awful. Never again.
I order my holiday cards in November and they do not arrive until Christmas.

The order was suppose to be delivered on December 17. THe webite the changed to December 20. Now - I called and it won't be delivered until Dec 22.

I have ordered calendars and other items from Shutterfly in the past and was pleased with the products I received. I ordered 2 books as Christmas gifts one was $84 and the other $48. The $84 book arrived first. I was so disappointed and angry with the quality of the book that I am embarrassed to give it as a gift. I kept getting changing delivery dates every day for the second book which was ordered the same day. I had to send another gift to the person for fear of not having the book in time to mail it. It finally arrived same poor quality and had a torn page. Save yourself the money and anguish of dealing with this company.
Purchased 20 special Christmas cards using my photography. Super excited to send these to close family and friends with their gift cards and or checks for Christmas gifts. Contacted Customer service several times using my valuable time. Kept telling me to wait another day. Do not use Shutterfly if you need your items quickly. It has taken 17 (SEVENTEEN) days so far and no items received. They use the cheapest mail service possible while we the customer pay high end for their product.
I made photo cards from Costco and received those within TWO DAYS. I wanted a fold open card and took a chance with Shutterfly, I won't do that again! USE VISTAPRINT instead! Shame on you Shutterfly! Customer service told me to wait another day and contact them again (twice), would not issue me a refund until product arrives so I can mail them back. I am greatly disappointed. I'm a very patient person but this has really upset me. I now have to buy boxed cards (Dec. 17th) pay extra postage to get them to family and friends with their gifts inside. I paid for guarantee shipping date and now 7 days later my order hasnt even been made by production. Customer service is horrible and gives absolutely no info. I paid for a "Guarantee date" and Shutterfly Customer service says to me things happen nothing is guaranteed. Never never again will i use Shutterfly! Stear clear and use a different company
I paid $200 to create customized Christmas cards with my own photos and text using the Shutterfly online tool and approved the proofs. When the cards arrived, there is a large Shutterfly logo slapped across Santa's face, plus more Shutterfly promotional text overlaying my photos. Very obtrusive. I called to complain and ask they replace the cards without their promotional messaging. Was told they would not do so.
Who is the customer here? Who is paying who $200? Forcing customers to prominently display their promotional messaging - and not disclosing this on the proofs - and then refusing to replace - is a series of bad customer service and business decisions. I certainly recommend looking elsewhere.
Shutterfly has no idea where your order is. Ever. They use a shipping method that combines the worst practices of the USPS and UPS into one HORRENDOUS shipping methodology. Highlights: "Standard" shipping is 5-7 business days. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT! Weeks we've been waiting. Weeks! And no one can tell you where the package is even though we paid for shipping. AND the dates on the lying, inaccurate shipping tracker change constantly. WHERE IS THE PaCKAGE?! It will deliver on Dec 13, then moves to the the 10th, then the 11th, then the 12th, then the 13th, then the 14th, then the 15th, and so on. Every day and it's always wrong and they cannot tell you where the package is or when it will arrive. Absolutely the worst product fulfillment, communication, support. Problems happen; when a company will not deal with them and knowingly uses the WORST way to ship, they STINK. This is not the supply chain or pandemic. This is incompetence and not caring.
I placed an order on November 30 for a very important milestone birthday gift. It was not received by the date of the event (2 weeks later) and when I checked online it said it was delivered December 3 but it was NOT. The tracking information showed that it was sent to the local post office, then routed to 3 other post office locations, then it somehow marked it as delivered. I asked Shutterfly to address the issue. I was on hold for 30 minutes, twice. I interacted with their chat bot 3 times. Still, they did not address the issue and my loved one did not receive their gift. Do NOT order important gifts from them. They do not care to address the problem if an item does not arrive.
I ordered a photo book for mg boyfriend for our one year anniversary. The next day i looked for the email confirmation, we'll i never received one. Realizing the money had already been taken out of my account i called customer service. After being on the phone for 2 hours i realized i wasn't gonna get my money back, so i hung up and will not order again. Definitely go to your local Walgreens rather than ordering from this website. All it took was for them to care about my experience as a customer, but they didn't and gave nothing for the inconvenience and my loss of money.
Ordered Christmas cards 11/29/21. Was told they would be to me by 12/9/21. I haven't received them. The online tracker shows an "exception" - whatever that means. I've called and chatted with Shutterfly with no resolution. Generally, they're good. I've used them for years. However, this year is extremely frustrating trying to get information about the cards whereabouts and delivery time. My advise, don't order if you're on a deadline.
I have used them every year for my Holoday cards and each year the shipping gets worse and worse. Two weeks to get my cards, no thanks! I'll go elsewhere from now on.
Once again Shutterfly has messed up my order! Last review was that I had not received my order placed on Nov 30th, 2021. Well I received my fist order 7 cards short of 20. Still haven't received order #2. I will never purchase another thing from this site. I DO NOT RECOMMEND them for anything!
Shutterfly does have a good product line. My problem is that their packages do not arrive on time. This is my third order that has not arrived either on time or not at all. The first package in 2019 was due to arrive on 12/23. Ordered 6 weeks before. It arrived on Jan 3,2020. The second glass was suppose to be here on Fathers Day 2020 and it arrived in Aug or 2020. Now I have placed an order for Christmas cards before Thanksgiving. They were suppose to arrive on Dec 10. They said they mailed them on Nov 22. I called them on Dec 7 to say 15 days was way too long to receive a package. They basically said there was nothing they could do until the 10th. They were sure it would arrive. It did not. I called back and they immediately put in a new order - now not delivered until the 20th. I live in HI and have very limited time to get the Christmas cards turned around. That is assuming they get it mailed out. For as much mailing as they do, their tracking system is really not tied to their vendors. Just their estimates. They send updates based on what their system says, not the actual vendor tracking. I will not be using them in the future. Three strikes and your out. I would not recommend them.
Use any other online company for your Christmas cards. The online system does not update with addresses and all kinds of shipping issues. Thier systems are always "down" when you call customer service. Save yourself the trouble and avoid using Shutterfly. Use anyone else instead.
