I just did a book project that took 3 printings and many hours of my time due to the inefficiency of shutterfly. Yes they did do it over but by the time I got the 3rd version my granddaughter had left and all the surprise was gone. I promised myself I wouldn't use you again but got a email with 5 item free offer. I should have known to delete it but didn't. It took me 4 calls to customer service to finally get it correct. When I went to checkout they were charging me shipping of 36.00 for 1 5x7 pad. 1set of 4 coasters. 1 cup and 1 deck of cards which was only 4 items not 5. And they were charging me for the cup that was to be free. I called to complain and was told that just the way it is. I told them I would never use them again after being a loyal customer and the guy said have a nice day. I only wonder how many customers they lose that way. What a way to run a company. Stay away or let the buyer beware.
We ordered two photo books for our two Foster kids that we were looking to adopt. After two years a long lost relative was given custody and we were told that they would be going with her in one week. We paid a lot of money to have the delivery rushed. One book arrived for our boy but our girls book did not arrive, and still has not arrived. Waited for hours on hold but could not reach Shutterfly until days later. Our girl won't have the photo book to remember us by. We are terribly saddened and Shutterfly doesn't care. Will never use them again! No one should!
3 times they got it wrong. 3 times! I finally asked for full refund as I only ordered extra things so I would get free shipping. They said only for phone case I kept explaining I didn't really want other. Stuff but I didn't want to pay for high shipping. They said I can return but I pay return shipping. And I tried to explain this order has been there mistake and to give me label to return. Not what happened. They only refund case. Very disappointed. I will not use them for my business as I intended
I purchased the photoshoot on Shoot photos company site in combination with the Shutterfly post cards package. I then realized that the promo code from 510 families of 10% did not apply as it should have. The cost of the photoshoot full package was supported to be $216. But I decided to add Shutterfly package which seemed like a great deal and paid $256. And it is not. I overpaid $50 for a code that I need to use on Shutterfly which is super confusing. I don't see how 50 cards for $50 is a great deal. I wrote to Shoot to apply the 10% code and refund me the difference or cancel my Shutterfly package. They refused to do so. I find it hard to believe that Shuttefly cannot deactivate the code... Not buying anything from Shoot or Shutterfly ever again!
Shutterfly.com does not delete photos even if you delete them from their portal. Below are the sequence of events that happened
1) I created an account on shutterfly.com
2) I uploaded my family photos
3) I created and ordered a hard cover album from them
4) They delivered the album to. Quality was mediocre but all good so far
5) I do not want shutterfly to keep my photos so i logged in to their account and deleted all the photos in early December 2020.
6) After a month (early jan 2021), I logged in again and saw that photos were still not deleted. Moreover they were using my pics to advertise their products to me.
7) I contacted them on facebook AND their website customer service. Both the channels confirmed that my photos were deleted from their database.
8) I logged in again on Aug/12/2021 and saw that photos were still not deleted. Again they were using my pics to advertise their products to me
This is unacceptable and if possible i will definitely take some action against it.
I have attempted to purchase a photo book 5 times today, and each and every time, Shutterfly loads the wrong book. It is very frustrating and a waste of my time!
I sent a graduation photo of my son that was done by a professional photography to make photo cards…. The set came and the picture was blurry even though the original was clear…. They agreed to reprint and it came the exact same way as the first time… I spoke to Paige in customer service and she said they will investigate to see what went wrong… I am very disappointed because I have purchased other things and never had a problem… the cards were not cheap either for the quality of service that I received…. The one Shutterfly did and the original….
I used to loved Shutterfly and I've used it for my books for years, the updated version of advanced editing is terrible! It's super delayed (which is annoying when you are trying to resize photos) and takes away options like ribbons, resizing multiple things at once, and I can't copy and paste things. They had a wonderful system before! Wish they would go back.
Easy to use, I am not too computer savy, but was able to easily do so. I ordered a few items. They were delivered incredibly fast! One item, the metal tile had been damaged during shipping, I phoned customer service and my call was answered within a couple minutes. Maribel was attentive and efficient, immediately resending a replacement as she asked if that is what I was wanting. Waiting for the last part of my order to be delivered today, cant wait! Will definitely be ordering more in the very near future.
Main issue I have with Shutterfly is that I spend over an hour picking the pictures I want to order and once I place my order out of the cart, a notification of "Cannot process your order", "Try again later". I tried customer service and no answer, on hold forever, tried automated chatting and that was ridiculous. I'm extremely disappointed in Shutterfly's services.
This company wasted a week of my life and ruined my father-in-laws funeral by cancelling my order and not letting me know. Then when I contacted them, I got no help. Customer service is non-existent even for an over $500 order. Even though their system messed up they said they would contact me in 5 days way to late to get the books for my father-in-laws funeral. Then after arguing with their horrible chat for 40 minutes, they were going to escalate my case and get back to me in 24 hours! I won't have these books in time for the funeral. DON'T
order from Shutterfly! Any other company will be better! I promise you!

I did an order more than 3 weeks ago and the shipping info just stopped 2 weeks ago! I have no idea where the package is and there is no email or easy way to get help! Never again I'll stick to Costco from now on!
Order didn't arrive. Offshore customer service promised a refund. It was never processed. Next rep knew nothing about what previous reps had promised. Again, promised refund. Never processed. After several contacts I finally decided it wasn't worth $42. They kept the money and lost a customer but I don't think anyone cared.
I ordered a bunch of items from Shutterfly including a calendar, a tumbler, a phone case, 2 desktop photo canvases and a wall canvas. They have all turned out excellent and better than I had hoped for. Especially the quality. I will definitely be ordering from them again.
I've used Shutterfly for over 20 books and now it is almost unusable. I've worked over 10+ hours and have only made 5 pages in my book. It freezes, changes picture locations, deletes pictures I've placed, backgrounds from my favorites disappear. It used to be so easy to move pictures, text, stickers. NOW it takes 3 extra steps each time I want to move something. Why the flip did they change their format when it worked so well? You can't make pictures the same size anymore. You can't align pictures like you used to. I've never seen anything take such a leap BACKWARD and make things WORSE rather than BETTER... Unbelievable. Guess I will abandon my annual vacation picture book which I pay about $100 for and make it on Snapfish.
For the price of $39 I paid I expected much better picture quality. Ended up with a grainy canvas print on my father's day order. I have had much better experience with walmart canvas prints n they are much cheaper. I would never put Shutterfly prints on the wall.
After paying $1,000 for the images from our daughter's senior photo photographer, Shutterfly was the first place I thought of for ordering prints for the family. They came today and I am so disappointed. The wallet sizes are passable, but the 4x6 and 5x7 prints are horrible. Her lipstick is bleeding onto her teeth, her nose is pixelated. They're a mess. I guess it's time to move on to a better company for prints.
