The site shows you the prices in the currency of your choice but then when you go to pay it charges you USD without telling you the invoice is in USD so you get a shock when you see your credit card statement. When I called the customer service representative told me that it is not misleading that the site is in AUD but charges in USD but said it was my fault even though I have screenshots of the invoice showing that it does not say USD. An then when I asked to cancel the order she said it has already been filed and I can "easily" return it when I receive it at a cost of $50! She then proceeded to yell at me saying I should know that since it is a US company that it only charges in USD and that all companies have a currency selector for "convenience". Worst company ever.

Been a Shopbop member for years now. Used to like it a lot but the new policy now is ridiculous. They give you a small window to return (they have to receive your return items 15 days from the day your package is delivered to you-- so really you have about week to return, transit might take 7 days). And then it takes 7-10 business days for them to process refund. Other companies provide a much more reasonable return window and also process refund faster. People buy things online because it's convenient, and Shopbop's current/updated policy is making it pretty inconvenient now
This website is an online scam and needs to be reported to the police. They enclosed a prepaid label for returns and then said I should not have used it, it went to the wrong address!
I used their enclosed shipping label to make a return. By using Shopbop return label it took 4 weeks to arrive back to them. They claimed the package was empty. Instead of taking any responsibility as a business they will first accuse the customer. Their customer service representative (Tina) made the assumption the item for return was "accidentally omitted" from the return package sent. Obviously either the item was lost in the mail, stolen in the mail, or stolen by their own employees. They cannot be trusted... please stay away from this shady online company!
I recommend shopping online with REVOLVE.com for better prices on the same or similar inventory and a fair return policy.
Shopbop charged my credit card, and my purchase was waiting to ship. They now blocked my account and i can't see what is happening! Don't buy with them, they are not reliable!

I have had Two bad experiences. My current issue is this- I ordered two items over 2 weeks ago that haven't shipped. I have contacted them via email (took 4 days for a response) and I also called. The woman last week told me they would ship last Friday, but nothing and the woman I just spoke to told me the woman last week lied and they had no intention of shipping the stuff because the packers in the warehouse are just too busy. They promise 2-3 days delivery quite clearly on their website and they always have met this, but this time the estimated delivery date they gave me on order was a week ago and it still hasn't shipped. I asked her to cancel it an she said she would try but if "you have ever tried to cancel an order on ShopBop..." oh great. If only USA stores had the same consumer protections as in Australia. Buyer beware.
1st advertised APP15 promo code as 15% off first "app purchase" then told me I've purchased from them before. Then I receive email apologizing why some other code didn't work and why and I responded that the code they referenced was NOT the code I was attempting to use. Gen a different person replied that they don't honor that coupon for existing customers. HINT: don't advertise with misleading false statements! Then I receive my order. All sale items so I thought. Got charged full price for the most expensive item even though it was advertised on sale. I WISH I had screen shot! Futile attempts to communicate that perhaps SB made an error. In fact I was told after letting them know that I would escalate, that they reviewed ALL the purchases of this particular shoe during the sale and everyone paid full price. That does NOT explain anything, it only confirms we all got screwed. I'll never shop here again. I typically only shop at Revolve and I'll never stray again. ShopBop, you have a lot to learn. Scam all the way.
So I was calling customer service regarding to my returned order status, considering the returned package was already received by their warehouse two days ago. So the agent I spoke with called herself Alvara (not sure if she provide me her true name) was very combative and abrasive. Not only was she not being helpful but she was arguing with me the whole time, she insulted me, she almost attack me instead of helping me as a customer, rather than help me to solve the problem... Last word, don't use their prepaid shipping label for return as it will takes years to be delivered!
Excellent! I have been shopping with Shopbop for 3 years and I have never had a problem. I ordered a pair of shoes marked "final sale" and the shoes did not fit me, shoes were running extremely small. Shopbop did not hesitate to suggest I should return the final sale shoes, I did and was fully refunded. Amazing customer services. I often buy designer stuff and I have never received any of the items in less than perfect condition.

I ordered 2 items but they sent to me wrong order! I sent email to them to inform and were "requested" to have the incorrect items back... They did not mention anything about status of my order at all! All they could do was to "ask" for their wrong package back! I rang their customer service and one of the rudest ladies on earth attended to me. She was bossy and rude. In the end she cancelled my order without me knowing and make a refund to me instead! Terrible
Got a pair of Paige Hoxton leather pants on sale. Yes they were 50% off however that does not allow them to sell obviously worn and used items. There were mud stains on the bottom of pants and a tear of leather around the pocket. They are refunding me in full however I just can't believe they sell worn and dirty clothes. They were still $680 Australian on sale...
Bought a 400 dollar jumpsuit. Received a 20 dollar shirt instead. There was no return package also. In the shipping confirmation it clearly stated it was a jumpsuit. When i spoke to customer service they said they never had it in stock. They apologized for misleading but it is obvious plain stealing.

I called them and representative told me that I have to go to the post to find out what is going on. They are using third party service for pickup from the post office. So she basically advised me to find the agent they are working with and ask him why is he slow at his job. Terrific! I need to remind you that it was them who screwed up my order in a first place...

Impossible. While more than 90% of Chinese people are holdres of China Union Pay, and foreigners almost can't get a credit card there, Shobop doesn't accept this kind of payment nor PayPal. Shame
I've done business with shopbop for many years without problems, but this past year I've had terrible customer service! I recently placed two orders for several hundred dollars, after having to return 2 items because of fit issues, not their fault, I sent them back. The return process has gone on with no refund for over a month now! I have called many times and different people make different excuses, even blaming the post office! The tracking information says it was received by shopbop weeks ago and they say no! Crazy! I heard today it may take ten more business days for my credit! Totally unacceptable!
I ordered backpacks from shopbop.com which cost about $150 in total.
I was asked to login, either using shopbop.com account or amazon.com account. Since I didn't have any existing account, I created a new Amazon account using the link that shopbop.com provided. Once the account was created, I entered all the necessary detail (card, address, etc) for purchasing the backpacks.
Once I clicked the purchase button, it showed me the order details page. I immediately checked my inbox for order confirmation email but didn't get any. Kept checking for a couple of hours and it never came.
A few hours later, I tried to login to shopbop.com on my mobile phone. To my surprise, I kept getting error messages saying that the account doesn't exist! I went back to my desktop to login and received same error messages! I tried to login on amazon.com without using their link and it said the account doesn't exist! That's when I realised I've been scammed.
I immediately called my bank to cancel my card. The bank staff told me that since the transaction is still pending, the matter will be monitored and investigated. If shopbop.com proceed to charge my card then a dispute will be initiated. Luckily, I managed to screenshot the order detail page for proof.
I tried to login again after I called my bank and it was indeed still not working. Out of curiosity, I created a new account using the same email address that I had used previously. After signing up and successful login, I went to check the order history and it showed me nothing.
I made a purchase, they took my funds and sent an order confirmation then after three days when I chased them up for a shipping confirmation they informed me that they have not taken the funds but would not send the confirmation of this to the bank to have my money released.
Further to this they run a scam on their website that informs you of free express shipping right up until you go to pay when they hit you with $10 USD shipping.

I found a purse on Shopbop that I wanted to purchase (the price online was USD $298.00 and the purse is a Botkier Clinton Shoulder bag). They had "Free Worldwide Express Delivery" and since I was in Croatia for a bit (originally from Canada), I decided to place my order. Obviously there wasn't "Free Worldwide Express Delivery" to Croatia and the charges amounted to approx. More than half of the purchase price of the purse so I decided to return it (I must say that when I communicated with Customer Service they were very prompt at all hours and even weekends - when I was debating whether to keep the purse). When I told customer service that I wanted to return the purse they said shipping, etc would cost me as much as the purse! So, I decided to keep it (I actually had no choice!). However, when I finally received the purse it was so damaged - a large slit through the leather and the strap was broken - the strap I could probably have repaired somewhere at extra cost of course but the slit is irreparable. I contacted customer service again and explained the situation whereby they told me to send photos - which I did and... nothing! Absolutely no response whatsoever! It's been over 10 days and I keep on forwarding them the photos and asking what I should do and they haven't responded at all! What a rip-off and scam! I should have read the reviews before purchasing and am devastated that I didn't prior to purchasing! Just to reiterate - I was able to reach customer service when they were telling me that they would charge me additionally but now when I submitted the photos of the damaged purse they are completely silent! I wish I could post photos on this site to prove what a scam it is...
Please do not purchase from this site - do your homework and buy from another site that does not have bad reviews (with the exception of a few "fake" good ones I'm sure!). Shopbop is a SCAM!
