The overall reputation of the company reflects significant dissatisfaction among sellers, primarily due to inadequate customer support and a frustrating user experience. Common concerns include long response times, unresolved issues, and a lack of tailored assistance, leading many to consider leaving the platform. While some sellers acknowledge the potential for sales, the overwhelming sentiment is one of frustration with the outdated interface and poor communication. This feedback suggests a pressing need for improvements in support training and system functionality to enhance seller satisfaction and retention.

They take money without authority from Limited Company bank account, then refuse to give it back, citing a variety of excuses.
Replies from Customer Help are automatic scripted replies and bear no resemblance to the situation.
As a result of this, I'm reporting them to my bank for fraud and to the financial ombudsman.
The experience has been SO ridiculous that I have no faith in them at all. The lure of a huge marketplace to sell my goods is not enough to persuade me to carry on setting up selling on Amazon, as I know it will lead to more pain and wasted time. Why on earth would I trust them with any of my money?
The whole thing is utterly unbelievable, and I don't understand how they are allowed to trade in the UK.
I have been selling on amazon as a side hustle for my telecom business.
Amazon is customer oriented and than mean they treat businesses as if they don't have a say. There is absolutely -0- support from them if it comes to customers buying "by mistake" or leaving review literally because they had no clue what they bought or how make it work. I am going to cancel my account with them pretty soon. They are damaging my business.
DONT SIGN UP! Cancled my account and have confirmed emails saying account is closed. They're still taking money out of my account and telling me a cannot get it returned and I haven't had a subscription in the past 90 days. Can't speak to a human. GFY AMAZON
The customer service is terrible. I have been charged for the professional seller account (which I don't need) that is clearly shown on my bank statement, but does not appear on the Amazon 'system' so they are refusing to refund me. What's worse, I never signed up as a professional seller, but the sign up process seller is so non-transparent and belongs in the 1990s. All in all a terrible experience.
Customer service is the worst people I ever talk to in my life please don't wast no time contacting customer because they really not going to help u unless you working from them swaeting y'all life out they don't have a customer service phone number for your sellers account when I call customer service they gave me an in known number. Just disrespectful.
If I was working at Amazon Support, I would be ashamed of the reviews that are being posted. Like many other sellers here, you just go around in circles trying to resolve any issues.
The main issues seem to revolve around the registration process, especially if you are signing up to be an INDIVIDUAL SELLER. Apparently, Amazon's policy is to default you as a Global or Professional Seller. Therefore, they are extorting money from their customers. If 2000 customers register for an Individual account, Amazon stands to make around eighty thousand dollars just from one monthly fee.
Other issues involve loss of goods, poor payment system, fraudulent behaviour etc.
You would think a large corporation such as Amazon would be proactive and take heed of the hundreds if not thousands of complaints. But, they think because they are so large that it's not necessary. Amazon lacks integrity.
I think we should all collectively start a global class action against Amazon.
The support people can barely read and all they know how to do is send out canned responses. They have no ability to understand anything but simple issues. I have spent a month trying to get the brand in our products fixed as they were hacked by a couple of Chineses sellers. Once our product had two different Chinese brands in two days. It took a month the get the brands removed but a brand that is not even a brand ended up in one product. Amazon defends the brand that is not a brand and sends me the same crap no matter how I describe the issue. This brand in the product is not even registered with USTPO. Amazon thinks their branding is fool proof but there are people hacking product brands. To be an Amazon support person you have to qualify as a moron or they won't hire you. Furthermore, every time you reply to a case it get assigned to someone new who knows nothing about the past case log and does not read it. What a horrible structure! Amazon seller central has maxed out the Peter Principal.
I gave it another shot, as I wanted to relaunch an old eCommerce store. Well...epic fail. I chose the Individual plan, as I wasn't ready for the Professional just yet. And STILL got the $39.95 monthly fee billing regardless. No matter where I back-tracked to change it. NO actual Support but an idiot ticket option that only spams your email with lame auto responses. Agreed, they fkn suck.
If you pay for membership they will put all kinds of wired policies to not refund you if you change your mind.
Bad support.
Overcomplicated for no good reason.
I can't explain how bad customer service is from Amazon Seller Central. At times it's actually comical.
Every time you respond to a message, a new agent responds, with zero background. So one message chain containing a fairly simple question can end up taking 30+ messages to resolve. Seems to be luck of the draw whether someone competent/trained picks up the message. The advice you receive is often totally conflicting, and very unhelpful/generic in places.
For example, it has taken more than 60 messages to make very minor updates to my listings Amazon essentially takes full control over your listing once it is created, and when you want to change something, it often won't allow you to automatically. And when you then appeal to Seller Central, they make you prove ownership of your products. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
I sell books that I write and publish myself, yet I have had to prove ownership of these products on dozens and dozens of occasions over the years.
To give another example of the incompetency, after dozens of messages trying to update the title/publication date of one of my books, someone from Seller Central actually copied/pasted my instructions to them and published these as the book title. Seriously. So my actual book title on Amazon included something like "... and please use x date instead of y date as the publication date".
Amazon clearly doesn't care, as it has received thousands of consistently awful reviews for years and not taken any perceivable action to improve this. Plus enough third party sellers are dependent on it that the company obviously sees no need to improve the experience. I just wish I hadn't gone down this route and had focused more on my own channels.
As an aside, Amazon also once forced me to lower my prices as it had detected that one of the books was on sale for a slightly lower amount elsewhere (not even sure if this is legal in accordance with competition law?).
Horrible, horrible experience every time something goes wrong.
Selling on amazon use to be good, until recent years. Here are some of the bad experience I went thru: 1 - Some brands don't want you selling their items on amazon so they submit IP claims (false counterfeit, intellectual property claims etc) to harass you and try to shut down your account. This happens a lot. It's easy for them to submit claims. You waste time fighting them off your account and amazon lets this harassment happen, even if you sell with legit invoices. 2 - When shipping items to Amazon FBA they lose some of your items and give you a hard time to reimburse you, sometimes they don't even give your money back at all and open a case on your behalf and say they never got it. 3 - Amazon pretty much does whatever they want to your account, this holiday season they just cut down dramatically (calling them restock limits) on how much inventory you can send to them with no notice, stunting sellers growth. 4 - Gated categories and brands, one day you are ungated and the next day they restrict you from selling certain items. They don't care if you paid thousands of dollars to sell an item. 5 - Lack of communication from amazon, seller support is a joke, they hire people from overseas that just copy and paste template and don't know what they are talking about. These are the few problems I've experience selling on this platform. Selling on amazon has become a pain in the you know what. The horror stories are real with people account being shut down and thousand of dollars of inventory and money being held hostage. Fake amazon guru on youtube can tell you how great it is all day, but it's not. It's one giant headache. From someone that sold for years on this platform and leaving, I highly recommend you stay away from amazon and build a real business for yourself.
I signed up for a FBA account a month ago. Absolute NIGHTMARE. Amazon charged my Bank Account $39.99. I have been trying to resolve this for One Month. I can't set up the account because it keeps asking for another $39.99 which I already paid. I have contacted the BBB Consumer Affairs plus I have disputed the charges with my bank. Amazon Central has no record of me being charged YET when I call Amazon Customer Service they have a record. First I was told I could get a refund. Then my account is in review and they keep stating they did not charge my debit card. Bottom Line if you are thinking about sending merchandise to this company. Don't They can't even balance a check book. I am thankful that they screwed up early in this process. What would happen if I had thousands of dollars in inventory in one of there warehouse's There response to all my emails where the same Basically GO F YOURSELF. The last email I received they told me I am not entitled to a refund this is after being told you can get a refund up to 90 days Do not use the program. BOTTOM LINE If you are thinking about working with this company DON"T You will regret it
Seller support is terrible I had to just shut down my store due to lack of help. Always sending generic emails!
Do not sell on this platform unless you are ready to suffer losses. Lots of fraudulent customers scaming sellers here and the platform encourages it to force you to sign up for FBA.
Creating many cases and calling many times and the reps still do NOT know what we talk about. Dumbest folks and stupid internal inefficiency
In my life I have never come across so much disorder business. The support is just a joke. No one speak English or all they do is send you automated reply. You can ask then any thing you will get copy paste reply. I have never ever seen anything like Amazon support or Amazon it self. To figured out Amazon make sure to contact angels because humans won't get it. They support is in India and they could care less to resolve or fix the issue. Shame shame shame.
Amazon deactivate our account and sent a notification that money they owe to us will be paid after 90 days. Now they are saying they will not pay us anything as they "suspect" our account is used in illegal practices and can't provide any details as what illegal practices we were doing.
I'm glad I can vent my frustration of how garbage amazon seller customer service is on here. They are absolute trash, they're never helpful with any issues I have on the platform. Why do they even bother having these 3rd party representatives? All they do is copy/paste from a script and basically just say "sorry, can't help you." They absolutely fkin suck! I hate them with a passion
I don't understand how these people are still in business,
Is the worst service i never had in my life! They didn't accept the code of the letter after i waited so long!
Horrible Service, all responses are pre-typed, products go missing at the warehouse and the service team will only go in circles with no resolution, will get orders from unreal locations and you are expected to send the product, if undelivered the product goes missing at the Amazon warehouse and if you cancel the order Amazon will still charge you a cancellation fee, please invest in a good website and be an independent seller, selling on Amazon only and only helps Amazon and no one else, fees are too high for the bad service and your goods are not safe with them.
Answer: If I was you I will stop everythings involving with Amazon and find others platforms to sell my products. Usually it takes 2-3 weeks under reviews. In your case 46 days it means there is a probleme. But this is only the 1st problems tons will come, TONS.
Answer: [email protected] I would complain to the AG for Washington and copy Customer service. Worst case (if you can) set up a new bank account. You will be extremely lucky if you get a real person to speak with you. Good luck.
