The overall reputation of the company reflects significant dissatisfaction among sellers, primarily due to inadequate customer support and a frustrating user experience. Common concerns include long response times, unresolved issues, and a lack of tailored assistance, leading many to consider leaving the platform. While some sellers acknowledge the potential for sales, the overwhelming sentiment is one of frustration with the outdated interface and poor communication. This feedback suggests a pressing need for improvements in support training and system functionality to enhance seller satisfaction and retention.

We are an International Prime Seller Fulfilled company that is selling on Amazon US. We had a return request and were in the process of arranging the return for the item when Amazon automated refund service refunded the customer ahead of us. Now the buyer has changed his email address and all the emails are bouncing back leading us to have no way of reaching him to complete the return. After dozens of calls we asked point blank to Agent 6 is there a way to contact the buyer and were told flat no. When we filed a SAFET claim we were told that we authorized the refund and as such no SAFET claim is available. Which is absolutely false. We appealed the decision and then the next day our status changed to "Claim withdrawn by Reseller", Ridiculous! We did no such thing. After pressing the issue with Agent 8, who by the way had a dog barking in the background while we were talking to him, were informed after the so called cancellation of the Claim was actually done by Amazon and not us. Then why tell us we withdrew? He then told us that we now have passed the deadline for filling the claim. Amazing!. Agent 8 felt obligated to dig deeper and get back to us. Now his report has arrived and we have been cited policy. According to him we had a return address that was international and the policy of "Refund without return" had been initiated by Amazon automatically without any regard for our effort for us arranging for the pickup.
As far as we are concerned Amazon created this situation where the motivation for the buyer to return the item was removed by issuing a refund without wating for our return process to complete. In our view Amazon is complicit in fraud as the buyer has the refund and item. BEWARE!
The amazon sellers system seems great at first, but the more time you spend with it, the more you realise how little Amazon actually cares about people selling through their service, only that they take money from you.
The cost of selling on amazon is far higher than sites like ebay, due to its hold on the market, not only do they take a larger cut of the sales for each item sold through them, but the 'allowance ' they give you for P&P is regularly far less than the actual costs. Selling video games, cds, ect may be fine, but as soon as your selling books, you'll be lucky if the allowance even covers half thar.
Worst of all, if you ever have an issue with a buyer, the support team will not help you. Had someone refusing to return an item after requesting a refund. Amazon initially sided with the buyer, allowing the refund to go through, but when they were unable to prove they had even attempted to return the item, amazon would repeatedly refuse the charge back request, allowing the buyer to apparently keep the item and get the money back they spent on it.
Apparently amazon seem to think it's perfectly fine to allow con-artists to abuse the site, because it will side with a buyer, no matter what.
I've been selling on Amazon since 2011, no chargebacks, no returns. On all the product i sold. Do to the pandemic my business slowed down a lot on Amazon, in 2020 my business start to pick up towards Thanksgiving and Christmas time. I Sold well over $3,000 in products only to have Amazon hold the money in their account, for well over 60 days. I was told by Amazon they would not release the money in to my bank account until their customers came back and left (feedback!) I'm like what are you talking about and Amazon was a hundred percent serious. My products sell from anywhere from $300 to $3,000. I told Amazon I'm not going to build a custom product for your customers and eat all that cost on labor, material, and shipping. So after 60 days had to cancel all my orders for none payment from Amazon. Amazon customers were mad at me, I had to explain to Amazon customers that I'm not going to ship you a product for non-payment. The way used to work on Amazon is once you make a sell they would cut you a check within two weeks, not any more, plus if you don't pay them $30 a month they well hold you found as long as they wont. If you do not ship your products to Amazon and let Amazon fulfill your order you will not even be be listed as a preferred seller. Bottom line is they just don't care about the little people anymore.
What is up with Amazon? Absolute terrible customer service. I did all their verification steps. Gave them personal information, billing, proof of residency, verified it all. Activated my account. The same day it was deactivated for no good reason. Support has been absolutely useless. They send me template unhelpful email responses, no support number, no help at all. They immediately charged me a $39.99 fee right after deactivating the account. I'm still fighting the deactivation and have begun the process of a dispute with my credit card company. Just another soulless big-tech totalitarian company. Avoid doing business with them. Use competitors.
They need to get trained before responding to customers, its 1 out of 10 you connected to a person who can understand your issue and solve it
There is no seller support or protection with Amazon Seller Central. None what-so-ever. One very common example:
A customer lodges a Return Request stating "no longer needed" - to which Amazon 'Auto-Refunds' them; no questions asked. The Customer never actually returns the item, however (on the same day) they make a follow-up "Replacement Required" claim - a blatantly obvious contradiction to their "no longer needed" refund for an ostensible return. Amazon does not give you any option about this. You either replace the item, or face severe penalties. Amazon does not provide you any means to sufficiently contact them and report this abusive practice. You scour google for the correct link to their 'Seller protection section' which is named something vague and unhelpful (and to be honest, isn't really intended to help your exact case). The page is deliberately convoluted and confusing. You finally manage to file some account of the event, and you never hear a response. That's the end. Then it happens over again.
Another example: A customer wrongfully files an A-to-Z claim (without ever contacting the seller to resolve the issue), citing that the item did not arrive when you have tracking to prove it did. Amazon takes this and marks it against your account, threatening your security. Amazon automatically refunds the customer. If you try to reach the customer to clarify any of this, the customer blocks your messages, or asks Amazon to make you stop contacting them. If you file a complaint with Amazon, they ignore it. You lose stock, you lose money, and that's the end of it. Rinse and repeat.
Amazon turns a big profit - there's no denying that. We know about Bezos's massive income surge during the terrible crisis of COVID-19. We know about the warehouse employers being denied basic human rights (for example, being able to stay home during a deadly tornado, leading to a number of injuries and deaths). We know about their joke approach to workplace mental health with the AmaZen (a closet you sit in). So in this way, the record disgrace of Amazon Seller Central won't be surprising.
They never use their brain to help the seller problems. They only catch 1 or 2 words and give the answer in the stupid way (never related to the issue). Amazon is the big company but they hire all the kids (only know how to write) work for them. Work like sh*t and super worst
Was going well until adding my bank details. Telling me my card is invalid as I called customer service they were going round in circles with me until they said check my bank account may be the bank is restricting charges. I had noticed a £30 Amazon mkt charge had been taken from my account as speaking but yet on the website my card is still invalid. Once telling advisor over phone they didn't know what this charge was for,
Which led me to contact my bank account who have now cancelled my card and told me cantact the fraud police. Stay away and build your own website less stress
To sum it up:
We didnt do much with amazon because its just too difficult for smal sellers, their "helpdesk" is just a bunch of idiots who dont even understand your question but do anything to answer it ASAP, so you actually dont get usefull answers
After being blocked from selling because we didnt upload certain VAT files they told us to remove our inventory before it gets destoyed
I submit a removal request to send all our inventory back to us
After 2 months i ask them where is my inventory they tell me it is destroyed and giving me all kinds of arguments.
Today, after 50 emails they tell me i need to shut up because i am not going to be compromised for the mistakes Amazon made.
EVERY proof you give amazon that says i did EVERYTHING they told me to do to get our inventory back to us gets ignored, they only reply with the same stupid answer that their system decides what happends and they can do nothing about its.
The only product we sold much of got replicated by amazon basics for 50% less and now i think they just want us to f*ck off their platform
Please: spare your self and your business and DONT start selling on Amazon! It is going to cost you TONNS of money its so difficult you need to hire an expert to do this and you get absolutely NO service from their $#*! helpdesk
I could not recommend Amazon Seller Central to anybody. I spent 1 YEAR, paying seller fees, only to get the runaround by staff AND ROBOTS constantly. I have 1000 pages of cases which were opened and closed. Persistently incorrect advice, conflicting advice, and incomprehensible advice is de rigueur. Staff do not help, they simply want to get rid of you as fast as possible. If you're thinking about selling on Amazon I would strongly advise to think about selling somewhere else. I GIVE UP TRYING TODAY. WASTE OF MONEY.
I am a registered seller on Amazon under the name Shriyansh Creations. I have put a removal order from Amazon FBA on 4th Nov 2021 with a removal id (*******UEH). It was supposed to deliver to my Kolkata address but still today I have not received my inventory. On calling Amazon seller central, they gave me details of the courier & tracking ID. My questions
1) I have send my inventory to Amazon & it's Amazon's responsibility to send it back to my address on account of removal order.
2) How can they be so irresponsible that after sending the courier they are not bothered about checking whether the seller has received the inventory or not. This is breach of trust.
3) Why the hell I have to track with the courier company to get my inventory back. This is not my responsibility.
4) Still I don't know where is my inventory. It's more than a month & Amazon is not bothered.
5) If I loose my inventory, who is responsible for my loss?
With much hope I have started as a seller in Amazon but today I can definitely say it is the worst decision I have taken as I have lost everything. Still I don't know if I will ever get my inventory whose value is more than " abc". I can't mention the value. I am totally fed up. My business, my everything is on the verge of closure because of AMAZON.
I have been selling on Amazon Canada for about a year. When I noticed different Fees for he same product (different in color or design), they keep delaying to answer or giving misleading notes to make the client frustrated to the point to forget about the issue. When it comes, they have some issues from their end and they might be refunding some of the fees, YOU'RE OUT OF LUCK AND YOU HAVE TO EXCEPT THEIR MISTAKES.
I signed up for Amazon to be a seller. For a very short time only about four months I didn't list a lot of items because I want to test the waters during that four month period my total sales were about $1250. What I actually made was about $217 after fees shipping and everything else I made about $215. Keep in mind that I had to buy that merchandise so probably 500 of that was what I paid for it. Just not worth it I'm glad I got out early. Also they basically want you to practically give your stuff away in order to have any kind of chance of selling anything on there site.
It is not bad enough any complaint by customer (a day late shipping during covid) Amazon will give a full refund and the customer keeps the product. The support I thought was horrible now in Canada you cannot talk to anyone it is bot that tries to answer your question. The Bot is useless. Time to look at Alibaba and other platforms.
Have been selling on Amazon since 2014. Lately Amazon has become a pathetic place to sell with lots of shallow and anti-seller policies. As a result my products were slowly being suppressed in the name of product quality. Not at all recommended.
Total scam to steal your information. I scheduled a video call with someone from seller central. They told me I had to upload pics of my drivers license and credit card statement. Then at the Edmond the call they had me show the documents over the call. After the call I was told it would take 2 days. Never heard from anyone again. No email. No call. Nothing. So I'll emailed them and they do not n have a customer or seller supports team. Just automated messaging stating they cannot help me with the matter. It's been a full month, so I contact them again and schedule another call. Some very rude and unprofessional lady picks up from another country with a heavy accent, (which it's fine) but I'm trying to actually be understood. She talked over me the whole time and said she couldn't help me, and when I asked what I should do she just hung up on me. I'm actually afraid my information has been stolen and will be reporting this to the better business bureau. DO NOT USE THIS "SERVICE" THEY WILL STEAL YOUR INFO AND NEVER CALL YOU BACK.

Plus the label won't come off the side. Very disappointed in this item i over paid for. Barry Bottongino, bought through Amazon
My e-mail is: *******@hotmail.com
I strongly advise against selling on Amazon. Nowhere else are there so many scammers pretending that they did not receive their package, or the last time a customer on an order for several hundred dollars first claimed to have ordered by mistake and then changed his mind that the goods were damaged. The Amazon staff obviously believed the customer without any proof and they refunded the customer, which made me lose a lot of money.
I signed up with Amazon to sell my product as my self-employed income took a dive during the pandemic and I wanted a second income stream. There began a nightmarish journey that would end up costing me thousands. I'm not kidding. I understood that sales would take time to grow. Fine. I planned on having to support my business with my own money until it could pay for itself with growing sales. Great. I knew that I would have to spend money on advertising on Amazon to get sales. OK. What I didn't plan for was Amazon's TERRIBLE systems which no one at Amazon Seller Support seems able to manage properly or fix, and their absolutely apathetic customer "support". Basically some technical glitch meant that my product images would not display properly. Either some of my images were missing from my listing, or they were inexplicably appearing in the wrong order, despite them having been put in the correct order when I uploaded them in my own account. I tried for WEEKS to get Amazon to fix the issue, and I got the same response every single time: "We have actioned the changes you requested. Please allow 48 hours for these changes to take effect." But nothing ever changed, the images were still missing or in the wrong order, and NO ONE would bother to look into the issue or even read what I was saying to them. I also ended up with a load of stranded inventory, whereby many of my product units somehow ended up unsellable, and I have been waiting months for them to be returned, to the point where I suspect Amazon has no idea where they are. In the end, I pulled my product from Amazon and had my product returned to me (at great expense) and gave up, as trying to get them to admit to or resolve an issue on their side is like smashing your head against a brick wall. The trouble with Amazon is that they do not feel obliged either to help you or to explain themselves when something goes wrong on their end, so as a seller you will always be the loser.
I have not used the seller account and have been disputing the cancellation for months and they keep deducting the 39.00 a month even though I canceled it online, You cannot contact a real person on the phone for a Sellers account. All other Amazon services are great except the Seller Central. Amazon should be ashamed for the lack of customer support and scamming on Seller Central. My bank had to block Amazon from deducting the monthly fee
Answer: If I was you I will stop everythings involving with Amazon and find others platforms to sell my products. Usually it takes 2-3 weeks under reviews. In your case 46 days it means there is a probleme. But this is only the 1st problems tons will come, TONS.
Answer: [email protected] I would complain to the AG for Washington and copy Customer service. Worst case (if you can) set up a new bank account. You will be extremely lucky if you get a real person to speak with you. Good luck.
