I am an Amazon seller. Every few months I get an email saying my account has been deactivated and I have to reactivate it. Last time I went to the banks 8 times to get a statement from the account that would fit Amazon. The banks explained to me that according to their rules, only the number of the building where I live, without the apartment number, is not printed on the statement. None of my banks can give me a statement with the apartment number. Amazon requires exactly the statement and precisely with the full address from the apartment number. The bank last time issued me a bank letter with the full address and it was accepted by Amazon. This time they are demanding a statement, although I wrote to them in support that banks do not issue a statement with an apartment number. Give me the unattainable. To be honest, I'm tired of going to banks instead of working.

Horrendous, they took 530 euros from my bank account. No explanation, cannot cancel credit card, no one to talk to. No help centre. If you send a complaint does not get answered. Just helping themselves to my bank account. FBA fees are extortion. Never again closing my account. BEWARE they are robbers take your stock and then take your money. 700 books taken by them. Its a scam. Stick to ebay boycott Amazon.

Stay away from Amazon seller. Horrible Customer service. Huge charges. I came across an issue with their system. I spent hours trying to report it. I only received stupid responses. No desire to help. Here's the story: I sold an item on Amazon seller. I purchased the despatch postage through Amazon. This generates a label to print and stick on your parcel. You then only need to drop the parcel at a designated drop-off place. The issue was that the labels were not recognised at the drop-off parcelforce. You get a scanner error message: this parcel cannot be dropped off. I tried two different postage options (EVRI-Standards and EVRI-Drop-off) neither worked. I since found out that EVRI doesn't do collection anymore - not that I was expecting a collection (It's not indicated in Amazon's system that the label is for collection). In any case, the 'drop-off' label did not work either. I found a forum talking about this where many other people faced the same issue recently (June-July 2023). So, something has obviously changed with EVRI and somehow Amazon has not updated its labels functionality on its site. I did try to reach EVRI...but after hours of listening to recorded messages and robots, I got nowhere.
So in short, Amazon failed to recognise the issue, failed to listen to all the information I provided, failed to solve the issue and...wasted my time.
Why do we want big multinationals who can't provide customer service...even to fix a problem they have?

As a small seller, my experience with Amazon India has been incredibly disheartening. The support teams are ostensibly present but provide little to no assistance, making them, frankly, a joke. They're of little to no help when it comes to resolving the myriad issues we face daily.

Moreover, it seems like Amazon India's focus lies solely on their commission, with little regard for the growth or development of small businesses. As a seller, I felt uncared for and ignored, which left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Their Easy Ship service is ironically the hardest part of selling on Amazon India. I've had products stolen during delivery, and Amazon's response to these incidents has been less than satisfactory, offering no solution or assistance.

Above all, it seems like our hard-earned money is treated as their money, but when it comes to problems we face as sellers, it's suddenly 'our' problem, not theirs. This lack of accountability and support has made my experience of selling on Amazon India very disappointing.

I hope this review alerts other small sellers about what they might encounter in this platform.

Im a first time amazon seller and the video instructions they have does not match up with what shows up on my screen. They were quick to take my $39.99 but days later and over 100 calls and numerous emails not a single agent can tell me how to get the fullfillment center i'm suppose to ship the items too. Shameful and such a joke!

Absolute joke of a company. Started selling on Amazon in Jan 2023. Waste of time, 9/10 items get returned without any message from the customer. In most case you never see the item again. One even opened a case before it was posted so you know it a lie. EBay let's you talk to the customer. I've sold on their platform for years and I would say that less than 1/100 gets returned. The sooner the account gets shut down the better.

The worst customer service on the planet.

I can't say much here that hasn't been said. All of the service reps are overseas. Every time you reach out for help you have to submit a form, schedule a call or email response, and wait. After waiting they say something like "we know how frustrating it is..." then they never answer your question. They tell you to look at a help page which doesn't cover the issue you're having problems with. I've tried troubleshooting submissions by using hundreds of variations of their "easy to upload" spreadsheets. None of which worked. I've patiently lost months of my life with the promise that it would finally work. Selling on Amazon is absolutely not worth it. I don't understand how anyone does anything. Save yourself the headache and mental anguish. Avoid it at all costs.

This is my belief after 12 years, many of them good, selling on Amazon Marketplace. Problems in the last few years include: 1) forcing seller to pay higher shipping costs (e.g., priority) than customer ordered because their shipping time algorithm is screwed (does not agree with carrier estimates), 2) prohibiting the listing of many books, both new and old, without a special permit, 3) No longer allowing shipping overseas unless special permits obtained, 4) laxity about sellers perverting the system, e.g., putting up inaccurate pictures, creating multiple listing categories for same product, manipulating prices, etc., 4) prohibiting sellers from asking a fair price for books, especially collectible/signed editions, because of a poorly conceived price control algorithm, 5) providing customers with extremely low-resolution photos that are of little value in judging quality/condition... but good for basic identification., 6) providing what's universally recognized as an awful, contradictory condition rating system, 7) charging the seller for outgoing shipping fees when the reason for a book's return is "No Longer Needed" or "Bought by Mistake", 8) Providing powerless seller support personnel that make sellers avoid support and just cave in to Amazon decisions or leave, 9) generally taking all control from the seller and forcing a unified approach to purchases that is modeled after selling new high-volume items.

7 months in and they haven't helped at all despite nearly daily emails and (ignored) requests for phone calls. I've never dealt with a more incompetent customer service atmosphere as unwilling to help.

Nonexistent customer service! They charged my bank and am not able to contact anyone to give me a refund! Called Amazon's phone number and they have no idea what they are doing. No live person at seller central! Huge mistake getting involved with them!

The worst service you can receive from any company. You will never be able to speak with a supervisor. All their agents are overseas. When you goods are damage are missing you are on your own. The will put you on hold giving them time to document them just hand up. I few minutes later you will get an email that you can't respond to. This will go on for month as in my situation. They even refuse to send my products back to me as I am Requesting.

If you want to sell stuff on Amazon be prepared to deal with the most incompetent terrible, useless staff in the world for any support or set up of your account. This is the worst company i have ever dealt with in the world, no joke. Think of the worst experience you have had with a company support x it by 100 and you might be close. Awful awful support! Jeff you should be ashamed.

A rip off

Just shut down my store due to lack of help and a lot of fees. I lost $8000 within the past 2 years since opening an account. Amazon kept charging for storage fees and long storage fees and in the mean time, their stupid regulations did not let me to reduce the price the sell the items. For the items sold, there were many refunds to the buyers with no reason, and dumping the item. It would be good for the established sellers in Amazon who started in previous years, but anyone who starts new would loose money definitely.

If you earn Rs 100/- with Amazon, you loose Rs 1000/-. It is not seller friendly. Seller has to bare the losses even if the mistake is from Amazon agent or from customer.

First timer wanting to sell your old collection of books on Amazon?

Be prepared to go through the ringer. Here's how it starts:
1. Create an account, then you'll be forced to pay $39.99 if you select the wrong account. Sell your time on the phone/chat/email support to get your money back. Or create a new email account and really make sure you selected Individual (Free) because there's no turning back after you ever clicked on Professional ($39.99 monthly)
2. Verification hell.
It starts with basic phone number and email verification. Then you upload your passport / drivers license (Okay.). Then they mail you a card with a unique number (I'm still with you...). Then you'll need a recent internet bill to confirm your address (Are we leasing an apartment?). Then they'll want your face ID. Then you'll need to reverify another piece of ID.
Between every step is a 24-72 hour way.
3. Repeat above.

I have sent all needed information to them to verify my identity, my business and address and they still have me as deactivated. I haven't been able to place any items to sell but have been dealing with the useless customer service robot responding back to me that my account is deactivated and they can't help me. I've already sent all my personal information that they had asked for wth?
