Purchased 6 tickets to a Nats game three days prior to the event. The site says don't be surprised if you don't receive tickets until the day prior or even the day of the event. On the day of, still no tickets. Reached out to SeatGeek and learned the seller was now unable to fill the order. Literally learned this whole on the Metro headed to the game. While SeatGeek customer service was as helpful as they could be (refunded money AND provided a 20% supplemental compensation, the end result was traveling downtown to the game and NOT being able to actually go to the game (all other seat options were through the roof in cost). Will never again use this site…they don't actually control the tickets…simply a paid intermediary and can't guarantee delivery of what you purchase…miserable experience for our immediate family and extended family visiting from out of town.
This is not a reliable website don't trust them they scam you! They take your money and they don't give you any tickets
I ordered tickets for a concert in March. As of the day before the concert, no tickets. Called 3 times and kept getting the brush off, with no indication they would honor their "Buyer Guaranty." This is close to interstate wire fraud. Do NOT use SeatGeek. Oh, and their fees were higher than the face value of the seats.
How is a company not going to have an active customer service phone number? Ive been waiting on a refund for a concert that was cancelled in June of 2020 because of covid. First email said they were waiting for a postponned event. A later email stated that the concert was cancelled and I would recieve a refund that could take up to 3 months. Still have not received a refund. And it was almost a $300 purchase. Ive sent several emails since that is the only way to get ahold of this company in any way. It said I would receive a response within 24 hours and has been months ago. They do not respond and do not communicate in any way. This is a horrible way to run a business. There was never a concert so refund the money already.
This is an absolutely horrid service. I purchased very expensive tickets to a Celtics playoff game 3 days before the game. 24 hours later, the tickets were still 'pending.' A few hours after that, they were cancelled by the seller, who then relisted them on SeatGeek for twice the price I had purchased them for the day prior. By then, of course, ALL of the tickets through all outlets were far more expensive. This is criminal.
This has been the biggest nightmare of an experience ever. Good luck getting customer service, every site actually steers you to robot chat instead of a customer service number. You buy tickets and go through a series of emails, create an account, download a app and then you have to accept your tickets. Then you have to create an account with ticketmaster where you do the same thing and receive your "tickets" by QR code. 2 people ended up not being able to go to the concert so I wanted to sell or return them and they wouldn't allow me. Then the site wouldn't allow me to put the tickets for sale on the site and the ticketmaster app wouldn't allow me to either. When I finally spoke with customer service multiple times nothing was done, they just kept telling me to list them on the app. I miss the days when you bought tickets and got actual tickets in your hand. I will never go through seatgeek and this 3rd party mess ever again
They are terrible and their customer service is non existent! Rude, arrogant liars! They manipulate ticket sales and completely lie about it! I will never buy or sell tickets from them again, as long as I live! Cheats!
Purchase a VIP package for a lot of money what we received was a joke I wish I could add pictures it was a huggy and a plain black backpack and a little speaker that said budget speaker this is new tour merchandise for this companies VIP package? Also, the private food and drink was at a restaurant with a tab and the seats were horrible. BTW. Cost over 3000
I ordered two tickets to a venue from Seat Geek (owned and operated by Ticketmaster@$799 per ticket plus a 20% handling fee. My order was charged to my credit card. I received an invoice along with the QR codes for the two seats. Three days later I receive an email stating the seats are no longer valid and asking for my PayPal email address to process a refund. I ordered using my Visa credit card and do not have a PayPal account. After making multiple attempts to find a customer service phone number on the internet I finally reached an agent that was polite and courteous but kept talking in circles when asked about what happened with the tickets. She wanted to roll my monies paid into an American Express gift card so that I could repurchase the tickets. She said American Express is the sponsor of the performance and that's how it had to be processed. Feeling very uncomfortable about how she wanted to transact this matter I told her I'd like to think the matter through. The next day I call back (ironically the same agent answers) and ask to talk to a supervisor. I'm promptly connected with a person that says he is the supervisor. I asked him about this transaction and he kept saying something about me not having purchased the insurance is why they would have to transact in that unusual manner. I have no idea why that would even enter into the discussion. I asked more than once for a logical explanation as to why I lost my purchased tickets. I only kept getting answers that were going around in circles. I finally raised my voice in frustration to which the supervisor hung up on me.
The exact tickets are relisted on Ticketmaster now for $999 each before handling charges. It is very obvious that whoever listed them did not fulfill the rules and regulations set by Seat Geek/Ticketmaster which clearly states that sellers are forbidden to cancel an order with a buyer once purchased in order to relist at a higher price. Well that's exactly what transpired and yet Seat Geek/Ticketmaster did nothing to assist in the matter. BUYER BEWARE with this operation as they clearly set rules and regulations but do not follow or enforce them.
I bought 5 tickets for $421.00 while purchasing the tickets i make mistake 10 minutes later i ask for a exchange not a refund the answer was no I lost $421.00 please please DO NOT buy tickets here
I called customer service, not talking calls. I texted the helpline, no reply. After two days before the concert, I went my bank and stopped payment to Seat Geek. I missed the concert of my life; because these irresponsible jokers. Don't buy anything from them! Undependable.
Wow, they deal with criminals. They won't give you your money back if someone hacks your account. Use a credible site!
I recently bought tickets through seatgeek for some local mariners games. BOTH set of tickets didn't work... I went through customer support and promised a refund and yet I NEVER saw them... DONT BUY TICKETS WITH THESE JOKES
Purchased tickets Dynamu vs Nashville FOR MAY 14 730PM. TODAYS 13 AND STILL NO TICKETS BUT THEY SURE HAVE MY MONEY... DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE
$50 EXTRA DOLLARS IN FEES FOR THIS BS
Please don't use seat geek. I made a $297 purchase for a concert and my money was never refunded and I was never issued the tickets. They have no live customer service that you can actually speak to all they do is tell you the money was refunded back to you and it never shows up in your account. So if you need tickets to a event please go elsewhere to save you the hassle of losing your money they will tell you the refund was processed and it will not show up in your account. If you don't like losing money please don't use their service
I bought two tickets from seat geek a month before a concert. I got an email from them saying the tickets were confirmed. Then a couple of weeks later I got an email deceptively titled "Here's additional credit toward your next event with seat geek" but actually you have to carefully read the email to realize they screwed up the order. They give a 110% refund but only as a promo code. Since I am never using them again, I got a 100% refund as cash, but now the tickets are twice as much because it is so much closer to the concert date. I wonder if they actually have verified sellers or if they just say they do so you choose them over a competitor like Stub Hub, then if they don't have a seller they just say something happened to the order and give you a refund which is a scam and makes you have to pay more from Stub Hub because of the time you wasted counting on Seat Geek.
If I could give SeatGeek 0 stars, I would. I have been promised a full refund on my credit card for over 3 months now because the hockey game I bought tickets for was cancelled. I have messaged them and emailed them way too many times, and they're all so fake with me. Pretending they care and that they're going to do all they can to help me. They just pretend, and they're not trustworthy. So disappointed. I never complain like this but waiting for your money back when you were promised is honestly so discouraging.
I purchase NBA tickets and the day before the game the seller recalled/canceled the tickets. I reached out to SeatGeek customer support multi times for a refund to only get an automatic default email. After several weeks with no reasonable response from SeatGeek, I had to file a complaint to the BBB. Nearly 3 months later, I got a refund.
Bought tickets and was told they could be returned within 48 hours. Returned them and am now out $906 and have no credit for other tickets.
I ordered 4 tickets to a Texas Rangers' game in the all-you-can eat section per seatgeeks website. I didn't eat all day because I was expecting to eat at the game, I paid $30 for parking, and went in. Imagine my surprise when the tickets weren't for the all-you-can eat section and I ended up having to spend over $50 on food at the ballpark to feed the people I brought!
Answer: Shana is correct, Seat Geek takes no responsibility for tickets and have no customer service and will not return calls if things do not work out Stub Hub is much better
