No matter how many thousands of dollars you spend at rockauto, they don't care. When they send the wrong part, you either have to keep it or pay the return shipping to get a refund. And they never offer free shipping. I am done with this dump. They have no customer service to contact so when THEY screw up YOUR order, YOU are burnt! I will never shop with them again. Learn from my mistake and go anywhere else
I order a part for my Toyota rave 4 it was a vapor Canister. The make and model was right when I place the order but the canister they sent was wrong fit. I had to wait 6 weeks to get my vehicle into the shop. When the mechanic look at the part he said part they sent you will not work. Since it has past the exchange or return policy, no money back or exchange far as I know. They have no customer number to call or direct feed back to the company I could find.
Bought a ton of parts off these dummies till they got me for $3400 dollars worth of parts the engine tech lifters were horribly machined and cause damage wrecking the block and beaeings. So i tried dealing online and nothing after about 20 emails i said $#*! u rock auto and called my credit card company and opened a fraud case had my money back in 2 hours. Carry on with that bag of $#*!s there rock auto
Rockauto doesn't have a way to connect other than their suggestions for parts. When the wrong part is suggested, it's very difficult to return it and nobody to ask for the right parts.
Stay away from Rock Auto. I paid for expedited shipping. ($14) The package was supposed to be delivered on a Tuesday. Every day the website said it was on the FEDEX truck and out for delivery. Here it is, FRIDAY and still NO PACKAGE! And no customer service whatsoever. They are THE worst site I have ever purchased from. RUN FROM ROCK AUTO!
This is like the third time rock auto sent me the wrong stuff and when I contact them which they have no customer support now I have to pay to send back the wrong parts that they send me that we're not on my order
I purchased a exhaust and emissions kit I didn't use so I sent it back per there returne info and it came in 2
boxes.and the pipe came in no box. I returned it the same way but one of the boxes had different parts in it they said the cost for all would be 59.00. So I sent it back and would be taken out of my refund ok but when it got there they charged me for each part that was in the box so out of 244.00 I was only refunded 118.00 should have been refunded more then they gave me. So out of what I paid they charged my for the box and all the individual pieces.so when all is said I was charged for shipping label and the individual parts I will never order from them again
Everything I buy from them has a manufacturer defect. There's a reason the parts are so cheap. I just bought the most expensive timing chains they sell and I got boxes that were made in 1960 with seized rusted chains inside. Just go to autozone.
Never got my package they kept setting dates on arrival then it got returned this is ABSOLUTELY NOT LEGIT
Great prices but the awful customer service and returns negate the prices. Much rather pay for local higher priced parts than deal with the customer service or lack of. First, there is no one that picks up the phone. You can call till you're blue on the face and the VM eventually picks up. Even if a VM is left. No one will ever call you back. A nice way to hide to not deal with unhappy customers.
God forbid, there is something wrong with an order. You have to first return the part and have their warehouse receive the part and scan it and then, they will send a replacement. Well, this takes days! If you're working on a time constraint as we all are, this won't work. If you try to come to some sort of partial refund resolution after countless of emails for a part that still works but it's blemished as an example,so you don't have to return it, if the part becomes defective, you lose all rights to a replacement part since you got partial refund. And guess what? You end up ordering the replacement at full cost. The partial refund goes in the trash can. No good will, no customer loyalty treatment given. What happened to the inconvenience and time wasted? Isn't that worth some? Not to them. They make you return part and reorder at full price. This is a joke and a circus. Their best explanation is that it's NOT economical for Rock Auto to give partial refund and then send a replacement part and still allow customer to keep partial refund. All this after countless of back and forth emails. And every email response is answered by a diff person which is quite maddening. 20 different opinions on how a matter should be resolved. This is bad. And be aware if you choose to workout a deal yo keep the part if blemished. They will ask for an estimate of repairs. In the past end, theyll tell You,oh wey only can refund $20. What? It takes gas money to drive to th shop to get a repair estimate, it takes time and shop labor rates are $ above $90 /hr.
And $20 will be your great offer? This is an insult.They're not in touch with times. So, it's not economical for them. In 2022 Rock Auto netted 41M in sales so explain to me how it's not economical? They choose to lose a customer over a few dollars. Pretty sad state of affairs. Just bad customer service all around. They get 2 stars because of the decent priced, otherwise a 1 star would be my selection.
I had ordered and returned 2 CV axles with a set of brake pads. Cost me 160$ I believe and they refunded me 7$ and some change and claimed they didn't get the CV Axles and kept my 100$ for them. There is no way to call them it's all through Email and they quit emailing me. They lost my order and had to look up my order using the Product number so their system obviously was making mistakes and I said there must be a problem somewhere if you lost my order number so can you please look into that further and find the CV axles in the return department. They never said a word back. It's been over a month. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN!
Things were fine until I tried to install the regulator and one of the holes was tapped incorrectly. I fixed it on my own, you need to have a way of getting feedback on your products so you can correct issues.
I ordered a st of control arms w ball joint and a bearing, it never arrived. Filed a claim and they say it was delivered. Yet if you look at picture. It's clearly not my home. Ripped me off. I don't recommend them for nothing. Customer service is also a joke. DPollard
Ordered a thermostat. Paid for 2 day shipping. UPS states the sender requested delivery a WEEK past the due date then it still doesn't show up. Rockauto then wants AN ADDITIONAL 8 DAYS TO LOCATE THE PACKAGE I WAS SUPPOSED TO RECEIVE A WEEK AGO! F U Rockauto... spent thousands with you and that's DONE!
Shipping estimate was $50 for Friday delivery (Scheduled shop time) or $200 for UPS rapid ship. Paid the extra - Shipping estimates now show Friday. Looks like a call to the attorney general for fraudulent marketing and business practices is warranted (Glad I keep screen shots for my own tracking purposes.), and time to put my corporate benefit of free lawyer to use as well! Oh, yes, I did try to find out how to contact them so we could discuss this and see if we can get it resolved - but when you call, even their phone number states they don't have customer service, just check the facts on the website.

If you are not planning on fixing your car for 2 months then buy from rockauto especially for Canadians, they dont hold their courier partners e.g. DHL/UPS/FEDEX accountable and thier customer service is a joke. I ordered brake parts and it showed up 3.5 weeks later. Their response to assisting you is to blame you as the customer especially Jaren
