This place has got to be the absolute worst places to deal with! Horrible customer service! I will be contacting the BBB!
Zero customer service, not reachable at all. They show parts for specific cars that are not for that vehicle. They refuse to update their system to fix these known issues. They will demand you pay for return shipping to refund the parts they knew didn't fit that year make and model.
No response. No phone number. Well my last and final purchase then. Ordered rotors. They sent me wrong size.
I ordered an a/c compressor from ROCKAUTO once my mechanic replaced my old broken compressor with the compressor I bought from them not even 2 weeks later the compressor started making my car run hot along with a really bad burning smell. I took my car back to my mechanic just for my mechanic to reveal I was sold an old broken compressor! I tried going on the website to request a replacement to which I was told the part is not returnable! So 300 dollars gone down the drain and now I have to buy a brand new compressor! I will NEVER EVER ORDER FROM THIS SITE AGAIN! I emailed them to which they never emailed me back and there is no customer service number to contact them! Do not order from this site! I only gave it one star because it wouldn't allow me to post my review unless I rated them. If I could I would give them 0 stars!
Bought parts for my truck, I recieved the wrong parts. I returned them quickly. I was then notified that they recieved the package but it was empty. They even sent pictures, of the box, there was another box inside (manufacturers box) which is the original package for the parts, you can clearly see the shadow. I have been trying for months to receive a refund. They absolutely refuse to do so. I am disputing the charges.
Customer service absolutely horrible and rude.
Why would I return an empty box and keep the wrong parts?!
I have been a loyal Rock Auto customer for many years. Recently I have two issues that I was unable to resolve since they do not have anyone you can talk with, email or live chat. The first issue involve parts that did not fit my car. The most recent issue is a problem with a Y-pipe /catalytic converters I purchased. Since installing the part, I have a converter performance code. This was not there prior to the installation. The website only allows me to pay for a replacement ($300). Once they receive the part back they will refund my money if they find it is defective. There site says this is rarely the case. They have screwed me over for the last time.

I recommend this company to anyone especially single women because the prices were very affordable. Very good company; It's worth it!
It's a great place to order parts, but FedEx just ruins it for me. FedEx is hit or miss and they don't have any options that aren't FedEx express and a lot more money or DHL for a lot more money. I will no longer be ordering from them until they can use more variety of shippers other than junk FedEx. FedEx will put you out of business if you keep relying on them to get your orders to your customers. I am 3 days past on over 500 dollars worth of parts to get my truck running, because of FedEx.
I ordered a pair of front struts, they sent me 2 rights, one of them not even for the right car.
Then theres NO CUSTOMER SERVICE when you have a problem, and when you return the items due to their professional negligence, they fail to refund the tax which is illegal.
I'm going to report them to the FTC, CFPB, and DA, but I thought you all should know about their fraudulent return process.
I owned Toyota and Dodge cars. I ordered multiple parts for the last 10 years from this compagny and never got any problems. I could not evaluate the return policy since I always got what I ordered. I never mistaken the part too and I think this is the buyer responsibility to ensure the correct order.
Recently ordered front brakes for my vehicle, 2018 Ford Explorer, looked at numerous brakes for my vehicle and came upon an upgraded carbon fiber ceramic brake, checked the fit 3 times … it was pricey $45 for the brakes $10 for shipping and tax … get brakes 3 days later drive to my shop 17 miles away, heat up shop, jack front end up, take both tires off, figure 2 hour job max …. Lo and behold they sent the totally wrong brakes, had to put tires back on, unjack vehicle, drive back to home … tried to call, text or get hold of human being, no luck, nobody human …
Ended up finding an email address and found out how to print label and send it back ….
Just got notice today stating refund was issued / looked at the amount, they kept the charge on for shipping both ways to me about $20, I am really not a cheapskate, but those people at rock auto made the mistake of sending the wrong item, they should pay the shipping cost both ways, and give me an additional $10 credit for the whole hassle!
Just beware of the way this company operates, if there is a problem it's yours and no human being to speak with … not happy!

This company I ordered some thing from a part for my car and said that I would have my part would be Tuesday. Just got notified my part will not be delivered until Friday after I paid for the extra shipping
If they send you the wrong part or it doesn't fit. You have pay out of pocket to return the items. I been shopping with rockauto for over 10 years. I'll be using Amazon for now on since they have free returns.
I have made several purchases from rock auto over the course of 3 years and naturally no one is perfect and we expect things to go wrong from time to time. However when things do come up we expect decent & thorough business practices from anyone we trust enough to shop with and spend our hard earned money with. Having said that I am leaving this review for rock auto. I shipped from them for years thinking everything was just fine, even liked the little magnetic car collection they would send each time I placed an order. That is until the very first time I had a problem with my order, and finding out the cold hard truth that rock auto would not be anywhere around for me to help me with my return. When I say this I mean I paid almost $40 for next day shipping. Due to the holidays it ended up being longer than next day so my vehicle was broke down and I had to rent a car so I had no choice but to order the kart from another location. After waiting the amount of time I did I thought, that seems like a lot of money for next day shipping considering it was Not the next day my order was delivered and being a seller on eBay and very familiar with shipping procedures I performed a little test. I went back to rock auto.com and decided to choose the same 2 items from the aforementioned order and placed in my shopping cart and chose the available shipping option like the one I had chose for the previous order, and to my surprise the price was a shipping $10 less than what I was charged for my order! Wow! So I waited until the next day and I performed the same test again. Was the shipping fee the same this time? Nope! It was different then the previous time I tried by almost $3, and different from the price I was charged with my original order! So 3 times and 3 different shipping fees, choosing the same shipping options available. What would rock auto have to say about this would they help me here? Nope! Their reply was it was the shipping option available at that time based on the holiday but as I stated this text was performed on 3 different occasions. Conclusion: rock auto charged what they want to charge. PERIOD! Would rock auto work with me with returning some of the shipping fee,? Absolutely not. In fact they would not do anything to help me and I learned a lesson that day, rock auto cares about 1 thing. I will give you a hint, it isn't their customers! Or at the very least it isn't me they see about anyway. If you want to order from rock auto do so at your own risk because eventually like anywhere things will go wrong and when they do don't expect any help from them else you will be upset when they don't even act like they care!
I placed my order right before Christmas and received it before new years, which was really impressive! That being said my order didn't have one of the rock auto magnets which was really disappointing. For that I leave 3 stars
I purchased headlamp assemblies for my 1999 B2500 Mazda pickup. None of the studs were long enough to penetrate deep enough through the brackets to allow the standard clips to secure the headlamp. Took to my mechanic and he modified the brackets to 'force' the lamps to work.
This model, along with the Ford Ranger, was in production for many years; no excuse for the parts to not fit out of the box (MA*******-R and MA *******-L).
I Ordered parts and paid for shipping. They gave me a date it didn't arrive then I received a email saying it will come a week later! Totally unacceptable! Now mechanic is charging me storage fee because the car is sitting waiting on the parts to come! Rock auto has no customer service so you basically screwed it you have any real issues. Never again! I rather pay store price and get quality parts and if I have any issues I can take it right back and or at least have someone to talk too about my issue
This outfit used to be god place to do business with. Still is if you don't have to return anything. If you have a problem returning something there is "no human" to talk to. You start out 'chatting' with a robot then the robot sends you to an "expert' (who don't know S--T from Shjnola) that turns out too be somewhere on the planet (not the US).and they want to charge you to help you with your problem of which they "don't even have a clue" what your problem is. Eventually I stumbled on a way to get a return label generated. Remains to be seen if I ever get my refund credited to my credit card. I guess the moral is make sure whatever you order from Rock Auto doesn't have to be returned Charles Miller
I ordered light bulbs from Rock Auto via Priority Mail on Tuesday because they stated delivery would happen before the weekend. Regular delivery would not get to me till after the weekend. The USPS records the label as created on 3:04PM Tuesday. The next entry in USPS tracking is "Accepted at USPS Origin Facility" and is stamped at 9:25PM Wednesday. That is over 30 hours till the clock starts on the 1 to 3 day delivery USPS states. IT is NOT a money back guarantee. It is now Monday and the bulbs are "Moving Through Network - In Transit to Next Facility, Arriving Late" USPS states. DON'T WAIST YOUR MONEY ON PRIORITY MAIL FROM ROCK AUTO.
