New fuel pump failed within a month for custom installation. Rockauto say not waranteed for custom installation. Part was clearly defective.
I order two upstream air fuel ratio sensors for my 03 highlander. They sent me two wrong parts that aren't even slightly similar to what i ordered. And what makes it even worse is the receipt they sent me with the parts, listed the correct parts that i had ordered. And now i'm worried they won't even send the correct part in time for me to get my emissions done. Another thing, the form you fill out for returning a part is a complete nightmare. It has preselected options and half of them didn't even pertain to my situation. I just hope they send me the correct parts in time without me having to pay extra for them. I just don't get how you can put the wrong part in the box when you know what part should be packaged.
I placed a $20k order (yes you read that right). Paid by wire transfer as that's usually the quickest most efficient. The items I ordered went out of stock the following day (someone bought them with a card apparently) and my order cancelled. Now I have $20k sitting in their bank account, not sure when I will see that back. Poor business practices. Customer support is email only, nobody cares about you. You're just in the way when it comes to them doing business. It's a roll of the dice with this company.
I recently ordered two brake rotors from Raybestos part number 5994R through rockauto.com. As well a pinion nut that I never received and some diff carrier shims that were wrong. No respond for the above.
Because I'm frequently in the US I used a US shipping address and a Canadian billing address. Rockauto has no problem to charge a Canadian credit card and send the parts to the US address.
After further inspection on the parts, I noticed that one brake rotor was wrong and sent by mistake from rock auto. I agree that mistakes happen.
Since the shipping address and billing address is different, they are not willing to exchange/pay shipping for the wrong part nor are they willing to pay for the return shipping of the correct part. This is the last time I deal with this crooked outfit.
I heard about Rock Auto from a friend of a friend, so I needed some parts to fix my car and it would be cheaper than getting my car parts from the repair shop. So I go to there website and I could not believe how simple they have made it for people like me ( a novice) to find the parts that they need that fit their car no problem. The site is great you really ought to check it out. I got great prices, a smooth transaction with fast shipping. I will always do my Auto part shopping at Rock Auto auto parts.
Ordered a power steering pump. Realized it was a little more difficult for myself to install. Paid a pro to install. Failed in the first mile. Not the pros fault but a junk product. No phone to call at rock auto. Now he needs to put another pump in at my cost. Rock auto cost me close to $1000 and they have no means to contact them. STAY away. There low prices aren't worth it.
I own a small auto repair business. When time allows, I use RockAuto. Over the last 5 years, I've bought hundreds of parts from them. Their practices are fair and their policies are well displayed. The negative reviews I've read seem to have one thing in common, not following procedures. That's why I'm writing this review. Read the warranty info and return policy. This company stands by their policies and have provided me years of service, and I expect many more to come.
Received package that was torn apart, one piece completely missing and the part I did get was missing parts & ball joint was busted due to shipping
As i was checking out my order,, it showed 4 days for shipping delivery,,,after checkout, i checked out it said delivery was 8 days! These people suck! And now you cant call to talk to anybody,, and their customer service email just tells you tough luck--i am done ordering from these pricks
I was meant to get a 31 dollar refund instead they only gave me 18! They r a $#*!ing scam n most their parts r garbage! Advance auto parts 1000%better! When they give you a refund they refund the whole thing I paid 42 bucks for my order was given the wrong parts! And I had to pay ten bucks for return shipping THEY TOOK OVER 20 BUCKS! I'm reporting them to BBB for scamming people out of proper refunds!
I ordered a pit man that specificully needed 3 groove spline they sent me the 1 with 4 like come on man you just $#*!ed my whole day up more i been out of my truck 2 weeks now and you guys just keep delaying me and its a bunch of bull$#*! not only has this happned once but now this is now a few times my friends have order and gotten wrong parts ya the parts we look at may be the 1s we need and are the right parts but guess what someone back there does not know how to $#*!ing READ!
Bought shock mounts using their guide (based on vehicle). The mounts would not line up, they were not OE, but that is all they offered. They made me pay shipping and deducted it from my refund. I will NEVER use them again. How can you sell an incorrect part and make the customer pay for YOUR mistake?!
I accidentally ordered the wrong part. Within less that the 5 minutes it took to discover my error I tried to cancel the order. There was absolutely NO way to cancel the order AND they said it had been shipped and on it's way! NO WAY! The ONLY way to get the money from my first order back was to wait till it arrived and return it AND pay the shipping! There is no phone number to talk to a human and resolve the issue which SHOULD be a simple click of a mouse! VERY dissatisfied and will never order from them again.
I shop with them faithfully and the one time my parts aren't correct, they give me hell on my refund. Their not refunding my money because of the boxes my parts were delivered in. Parts still in original plastic wrappings with their part numbers on them. I won't be spending another dime with them.
I paid $75 for FedEx Express shipping, which stated a DEFINITIVE arrive by date. The arrival day was extremely important, as i had a mechanic lined up to install the part that day. This was the only day he was available for the next two weeks. That was the only reason i got such expensive and fast shipping. Not only was the part not here by the day stated when I purchased it, the status still shows that the package is in Indiana. I live in FLORIDA. And this garbage $#*! site has absolutely ZERO customer service or phone number to call. What a joke! Then as I'm navigating their terrible help section, it states that all their shipping times are "estimates" and aren't guaranteed. Even though when you order it says very clearly what day it will arrive. Nowhere does it say it's an estimate. So i just completely wasted $75 on shipping for a part that now I'm in no hurry whatsoever to receive because my mechanic is no longer available to install it. I should've looked at the reviews BEFORE I ordered from them. Absolutely horrendous reviews, what a surprise!
DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY! Lots of other reputable sites out there, ones who actually have customer service and actual humans to talk to if you need help.
Look at the pictures attached. Clearly states a day of arrival. Nothing about "estimated times"
Was going to ordered several parts that were shipped from same location. (A,B,C)
Deleted some parts and shipping location changed for the others.
Parts that were shipped together from same location were no longer the same.
The shipping cost was half of original order essentially doubling cost.
Will no longer be purchasing from rock auto
Hi, I ordered brake lines from rockauto. I decided to order the upgraded version just to be safe. I opened the box and the cheaper Chinese made brake lines were in the box. Flimsy cheap made very thin flexible brake lines. Okay. I asked for a refund because I really wanted the upgraded flexible brake lines. They were much thicker and more heavy duty for my 5400 lb truck. Hence the whole point of upgrading. Rock auto tells me they will not send me the ones I paid for with some lame excuse. They told me to mail back the ones I have they will give me a refund and I will have to pay the shipping.
I went back and forth with them through email. Will never order from them again ever. I will use amazon moving forward they have no issues taking back something that is not what you ordered and they do not send incorrect items on purpose.
Long story short not only does rock auto suck donkey doo they do not care about you or your safety, only your money. I simply just wanted free shipping for them sending me the wrong part now I have to pay for nothing basically. I am not made of money so all I can do is complain now. I ordered off amazon and no issues.
They double billed for shipping, and the part have not arrive 9 days as of now. They have no number to call and their online support only give canned options with no support for where your product is and if you will even get the parts. They took my money and no parts and no one to contact.
I put in an order for two radiator hoses with rock auto put my year, model,engine size all the good stuff, and they sent me the wrong hose for a different motor cost me money to do business with this company more than a hose cost with shipping cost and then return shipping fee and they did not return my money except for the price of the hose. This is a worthless bad company go to geek auto part.com
Even after multiple unsubscribe requests over the past year, I still get their emails. Terrible site. I can only imagine if I had ordered something and it was wrong as many people have experienced.
