After 3 hours of working thru the return parts forms it looks like the process will have to be redone for reasons I've yet to figure out. Incorrect brake pads + rotors for a Corvette are all this return were for! That's 8 parts in total. Left/right + front/rear. Not complicated. However, it's nearly $1000 in cost. At 56 years old & having shopped online since that became a thing I've seriously never seen a return process like this. I'll never order from RockAuto again simply due to the impossible return process.
If I buy a brand I want why do they send some other cheap brand, they send parts that are not as described on their web page, then they want you to pay for a return for something they chose. I ordered a six and got some crappy brand….
These guys are crooks their parts are junk and they continuously forget to put all the parts in the box before they ship it yet they are paid and you are left with nothing but stress and a headache!…they have gotten away w my money multiple times and not given me my parts also sent me wrong parts! And never sent the correct parts I ordered!
I am livid and they will not get one more penny from me!…. They don't help.fix.solve or refund and they conveniently don't have a phone number which proves the fact they absolutely are horrid at every level… they never resolve any of the issues you have! And this will be THE LAST TIME they steal my money!
Rock auto stinks even before this happened. They purposely sent me the wrong part's when I ordered for a van not a truck. Then they shorted my refund by $2.75, I've emailed 5 times with no response back. It clearly show's in my receipt I ordered for a van not a truck. Great way to rip people off for an extra few bucks and tell you YOU placed the wrong order. Beware!
This place is a joke. I ordered a alternator. They sent me a gas cap and of course you can't contact anybody to talk to. You have to do everything over email or the internet which is another joke. I would never buy anything from this place ever again and I tell everybody that I know never to buy anything from here also.
I have been trying to ask this company a simple question through their website. It is very hard to maneuver and I have had no response from them. Judging from these reviews, I would imagine this is an indication to their customer service in general. I can't imagine a company that does not offer a phone number. This one seems to do that. So my suggestion would be find a different company to work with and stay away! Never trust a company that you can't find a phone number even an address for the business or for or a owner. Bad.
If you're looking for a business that will work with you do not attempt to shop with rock auto. The low prices are a mirage to poor quality customer service and rude employees. It is not worth the hassle!
They sent the wrong part, we shipped it back without it having any damages and they claimed that it was damaged by us when we tried to install it. I wouldn't recommend anyone ever order anything from them
I will never use RockAuto again as long as they have no customer service to speak to or use FedEx as their shipping company. I paid extra to get a part by a certain date. The part arrived to my city 2 days early. FedEx said it was out for delivery 2 days in a row only to have an update each day saying a delay in delivery. Fedex says call RockAuto for a shipping refund. Can't do that. I WILL NEVER USE THIS CRAPPY COMPANY AGAIN.
I ordered a drive shaft for my jeep,. To he shipped to Qatar. ROCKAUTO had the correct part and when I placed the order I have selection of carriers for delivery, DHL, FedEx, US Post etc.
I always avoid FEDEX like the plague. So chose DHL. $150 was the charge. Fair enough I need the part.
However the part left rockauto, went to DHL...and DHL returned the part to rockauto same day. No communication to me. DHL can't provide the reason. Rockauto can't provide the reason. I have no idea the reason.
Rockauto refunded the returned part however saw fit to deduct the $150 shipping fee. Great. So what do i do now. I can't risk ordering the part again if the same thing happens. Again?
Ordered three hundred dollars worth of parts I received all the parts except my valve cover call the carrier like they explained once the investigation was done no refund contact rock auto by email and now I'm getting the run around do not order from rock auto if you need parts order from parts geek
Been using rock auto for years they been great. But last delivery was over $200 in shipping and items came damaged box was very heavy. When item's should've been shipped separately. Core charge is very expensive and now they're charging me to ship back their core can't get anyone on the phone or email. Customer service has turned to crap.
I've ordered parts from Rock Auto about 5 times and I always get the right part and I've never found parts any cheaper, even in junkyards.
I own a Chrysler Sebring coupe limited which is the same platform as the Mitsubishi eclipse and I've had all the top auto parts stores sell me the wrong parts with me telling them the parts had to be for the coupe limited 3.0. So people don't blame Rock Auto for you ordering the wrong parts for your car. Know your make model and trim of your car and exactly what parts you need.

I recently purchased a brake rotor and pad kit. Package showed up damaged and only having 1 rotor. The package was miissing the other rotor and the 2 sets of brake pads. After making dozens of orders off of rockauto before I have never had a problem. I talked with Joe at customer service and he basically says too bad... Even though they damaged the product and still shipped it out AS WELL AS missing 3/4 of the kit it was supposed to come with I have to pay ½ the value to send this trash back. Joe was extremely unhelpful and it is customer service like his that gives rockauto the 1 star review it has.
I ordered a head gasket set from RockAuto. The wrong part was in the box. I had to contact BBB to get it resolved. A person from Rock Auto called and was RUDE! Finally got it resolved. CONTACT BBB ROCKAUTO IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM! Really ticks them off.
Rock auto used to be a great company. Unfortunately their customer service has really gone downhill. Now they don't even want you to call or email them. Can't contact and ask questions. Prices are OK but a lot of times you can find similar on Amazon, local, eBay or wherever if you look hard enough.
I have been a mechanic for over 40 year's and after looking at the shocks on the RockAuto website I seen shocks that had springs on them at a amazing price.,Shocks that came had no springs. And when I contacted Rock Auto they said it was a generic picture, why would you show a picture of a item that is not what your getting, Well I found out why. To send them back I have to pay $28.00., and after looking at the reviews on this company I will never buy anything from them. I still work on vehicles for friends and will not install anything that comes from this company. 100% the truth, I will only buy from Amazon
Charged me over $30 for returning a part that wasn't described completely in catalog. Ordered a kit that ended up only being one stage when I needed 4 stages, would have purchased the other part but they did this to me, SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE!
