After needing two warranty replacement racks sent out, not Rock Auto's fault and fronting the funds for both. Rock auto is refusing to refund me properly for one of the replacements. They attempted to refund a card that was NOT used for either replacement. Rock Auto's response is not out problem. I have been a merchant for over 35 years and you can not refund to a card that was not used for the purchase. Not only is it poor service they can be compelled to refund it properly and incur additional costs. All for poor service and clerks who are clearly not trained properly.
In serious need of people skills, standing around nattering away whilst there is pool of customers waiting to be served. I had practically two identical keys to cut and he quoted 2 quid for one and 3 quid for another, fair enough so I proceeded to hand over the key that he quoted 2 quid, for the owner to say he can no longer do it and swiftly recommends 'tesco' key cutting technology, laughable I know.
To hell with you, learn some customer skills and stop faffing around when there are customers waiting to be served. You are indeed an unscrupulous merchant, got it cut at 'KAMS Electrical & Hardware', in Yardley for a fraction of the price no tesco technology required!
I would just like to echo previous 1 star reviews the owner is obnoxious condescending, if your face doesn't fit he'll shoo you away. What is testamanent is his response to previous reviews, shoots himself in the foot by consistently demonstrating poor customer service skills. If I had disgruntled customers I would never respond in a way that would add fuel to the fire. The objective is to resolve not to escalate! Brush up on your people skills and quit it with your feeble attempts to blindly rip people off!
Oh yeh and it's worth noting he only accepts cash! Law abiding citizen, I wonder.
I ordered 4 O2 sensors about 1.5 months ago. Shipped all 4 back without communication with them. 2 I put on vehicle and ran about 1/4 mile so used ( I guess). Told them I used 2 and 2 I didn't. Been emailing them with no response... This is just mind blowing that a company would operate this way. Crooks... Really deserve negative stars
Ordered brake rotors one day they showed up the next day l have Ordered from rockauto a few times all orders were correct and shipping was always quick I always double check to be sure I am ordering the correct part so I have not had to contact them about anything so as of now everything has been OK
This is a terrible company to purchase from. No customer service phone number. No way to contact them for issues like email etc. Their shipping charges are outrageous as well as their supposedly "discounted" return shipping for cores. I purchased from them many times before I knew how bad they were. My last order was for Raybestos remanufactured front calipers for a Lexus. The left front caliper was missing parts as well as having the bleeder valve broke off. The right front caliper was also missing parts as well as having one of the shoulder bolts with the rubber boot on the caliper itself being too long as to not allow the caliper to install in the caliper bracket. I went on their website to report it and their solution was to send it back. Once they received the caliper back they would send a replacement which would take 7 to 10 daystar me to receive. This would mean I wouldn't have the replacement caliper for almost two weeks! This car is apart up on jack stands and out of service. So I used the parts from my old caliper so I could install it. Then I get it installed and upon bleeding the brakes that caliper was leaking brake fluid. So in closing Raybestos remanufactured calipers are awfully remanufactured in Mexico. Very substandard quality. Rockauto also should not be allowed to do business in the way they do! I will never order from them again regardless how desperate I am for auto parts!
Ordered 9 items from them, required 4 different shipments, paid $20 more for 3 day shipping, two if the packages did indeed arrive on time, one 4 days later, the last still haven't received but tracking claims tomorrow, which will be 6 days, so glad I paid extra, contact rockauto, pretty much says that's life WE won't get reimbursed so neither will you.
One of the parts was a MOPAR thermostat cost around $30 more than every other thermostat they sell, I thought why not use OEM, thermostat received was NOT Mopar, sure it had a handwritten Mopar part number, on the plastic bag that appears to have been used as a hockey puck in their warehouse, contacted to ask to refund the difference, haven't heard back, lead me to here, so I doubt I'll receive one. Sad have used this site many times, this is my first bad experience, but I won't be back.
Absolutely miserable experience. I needed to substitute a few items from an order that hasn't been shipped yet, but due to the online-only very complicated system, I ended up paying triple shipping for the substituted parts. Emailed RockAuto, explained the issue but no resolution. Two reps responded over an exchange of several emails, but no refund. They pretend that they don't understand what you are describing. They try to point you to what you suppose to do and where to click instead of fixing the issue. Luckily, nowadays there is a number of competing online auto parts retailers that have call-in customer service and comparable prices.
Don't get caught up in RockAuto convoluted online-only system! You will end up paying more!
I have bought a WHOLE LOT OF PARTS from rockauto and have only had 2 parts fail on me. This happens no matter where you buy parts for vehicles so no surprise with the amount I have bought. But, they have a fantastic return policy and as long as you pay at renting to the part you are purchasing's manufacturer warranty you won't have issues. They pay for wrong part or warranty part shipping return but not I don't want it anymore returns. They do however for I don't want it and core returns, offer their FedEx discount account price so, I just don't understand these negative reviews. I hope this helps someone. RA is legit and has helped me save a butt load of money, over the years for a DIY mechanic. I attached proof I did buy these items and a lot this year 2023 and some 2022 and one in 2020. But, my father has used them for 8+ years

I ordered a couple of caliper pistons. They never arrived. The website is NOT customer service friendly. I sent numerous emails to the company. The response was generally quick, but not helpful except for one person. Even still, the part was listed as Carrier Lost. The site says a refund was in process and sent. It never was. Since then, I have written them twice more asking about the refund and they have yet to answer those emails. They have the part and my money. My question is; is Rock Auto a real company or scammers?
Rock Auto sent incorrect parts, blamed their supplier and charged us $22,54 to return the parts and get a refund.
They steal your money when sending the wrong parts and you return them dont give you your money back by looking for any excuse to do so. No wonder their review is so low with 1.5 rating.
Ordered parts on a Monday - order processed and showed "label created" for 3-4 days with no further progress. Finally on Friday it showed FedEx had package and order to be delivered in the Midwest on Tuesday. This sucks. Will never use these monkeys. Plus have you noticed no phone number to reach them and look at their ratings.
I used to be a fan of rockauto until recently. Now, I'm just incredibly disappointed in the quality of the products. I've recently bought a turbo, spark plugs, and numerous other products from them and I've already had to replace each part bc the parts failed and cost me significantly more. The turbo went down in 3 weeks and ruined my intercooler, spark plugs and O2 sensors. I bought plugs from them and they were trash knockoffs that made my car run like crap. Again, bought more from somewhere else and they were great. I'm done doing business with them
I ordered some brake rotors and their online picture did not match. So I returned them. All was fine with the automated return and free label until... I made the mistake of contacting customer service to fix the mistake. At which point they voided my labels and charged me. They still won't admit the mistake.
Contacting them nicely made it worse and now I can see how greedy and petty they are
Parts that arrived are clearly not for my vehicle. I need to pay to send them back and restocking fee. Buy local, this site is a waste.

I have a 2007 ford expedition. I installed a melling timing kit including new cam phasers. This was one of the most expensive kits on rock auto. Thinking i had bought a great kit as all parts were metal USA stamped i went onward with the installation. We found that the driver side timing chain tensioner was faulty and caused slack chain. This required complete disassembly of the motor and on the 40th day were i could still be issued a refund i requested a refund. Rock auto then told me it was day 41 and they would no longer issue me a refund and they would warranty the parts after i had to buy in town parts.
Purchased a hard to find head light assembly from "Rock Auto" (a$$ auto) and as they only had one side in stock for my Kia Amanti I received the left side and set the package aside to wait for the other side to become available, which happens to be 5 days after there ridiculous policy, and opened up the box that was in great condition to find another box in very good condition - opened it to find light assembly busted in 3 places! No way to contact a customer service rep even by email. Do not use this company for a fuse, you WILL GET SCREWED! This was money I did not have to just waste.
