We paid extra for an expedited shipment but DHL claims RockAuto did not fill out delivery papers correctly. So package got returned to station. Information on order confirmation was correct. After asking them to return the express shipping costs, their support closed ticket and stopped responding.
Bought a set of loaded gabriel struts failed. Rock auto didnt have the replacements i wanted to exchange. Wont give me store credit for something else but no. Thank you Rock Auto for wonderful service...not.
When I bought my car parts I paid an extra $98 for express shipping. The parts were supposed to be delivered on a Monday and it is now Wednesday night and I still have not received my package. DHL was not helpful at all in trying to issue a refund for the express shipping I paid for but did not receive. It became more difficult as rock-auto has no customer service number, only email.
Bought some Monroe struts with coil springs for 2017 Charger. The wrong struts were sent. Because I did not install within the Rock Auto return window of 30 days, there was no way to return the wrong parts. There is no customer service number, nothing to address situations like this where customer is stuck with worthless parts.
Did not install within 30 days because repair issues with my daughter's car took precedent and i assumed the parts from Rock Auto were correct. Will not be fooled again. Pleanty of other resources for auto parts that do have customer service.

Followed Rockauto return procedure. Sent two items for return. Receiver did not confirm weight of returns. Rockauto provided that they did not confirm weight of returns, on item was stolen in house. They decided that in house stolen items do no qualify for a customer credit. Very poor customer services on Rockauto's behalf.
Suggest you use other parts suppliers.
Was sent wrong parts, zero customer service, shady return policy. I will not EVER use them and would strongly suggest nobody else using rock auto
Yes they will exchange defective parts That they sold you brand new and you spent hours installing. That is after you selected the supposed upgraded part and paid extra for it. You can not return it for an even more expensive part. You get to exchange it and install it with yet another defective part. I will never buy anything from these guys again. Proof of purchase *******
They gave me the wrong part in the right box so when I went to do the job about a month and a half later it was wrong. I messaged them to have it replaced and the only thing they told me was that my order was already too old to get a refund. I was not able to reach an agent or any actual humans over there to help me deal with it. And now, I ended up taking both uppers out and using different ones because they were horrible quality. Now I'm out 2 sets of uppers and absolutely 0 help from rock auto even though it was their mistake from the beginning. Also took a very long time to come and the packaging was very weak. I wouldn't recommend rockauto to anyone, unless you want to buy your parts twice and cause yourself multiple headaches. Useless customer service. $#*!ty parts.
They were good, but not anymore. Another issue and I'm done with them. Bought 4 Ignition Coils and one month later had one fail. I bought the second most expensive Hitachi ($53 each) instead of Denso ($55 each) because it stated online made in Japan. Wrong they are made in China. Anyhow I wanted to return all 4 and upgrade to the Denso but of course can't speak with anyone and online shows parts cannot be returned after installed. So I'm not sure if they would honor my exchange or just tell me to kick rocks. I'm forced to exchange for another Hitachi coil and low and behold I get to pay return shipping to send back the defect. Thanks a lot for the help. It has now been a little over 3 months and wouldn't you know it, another code P304 as my car starts misfiring really bad on my way to work this morning. So now I have to deal with this crap all over again.
First off if you have a job and aren't home youll never receive your package if you have a day job. They require a signature to receive. Which is fine in most and I'm usually able to have package dropped off at a fed ex holding location so I can pick it up when I'm not working but fed ex told me when I called that rock auto doesn't allow customers to do that, which doesn't make any sense because it's actually more secure because you have to show your i.d. and sign at the pick-up locations. Now it's a possibility that FedEx is lying but if so rock auto if a stand up company should cut ties with that delivery service that's making their company look bad. So many other options available that are far superior to FedEx always have had problems with fedex.
I needed to replace my 2020 Nissan Kicks rear taillight that someone broke. I went on a few sites and the prices were outrages. I went to RockAuto.com and found what I needed for a much better price. The ordering process was quite easy also. The product came in a few days and was packaged very nicely. I was also surprised that they included the bulbs. I replaced the tail light without any problems and have extra bulbs, need be. Thanks RockAuto.
I found exactly the part I needed (timing belt kit) for $160 less than anywhere else. I placed my order and received the part a day earlier than promised. Really happy with the service!
If the part they advertise does not match what they send, they offer no ability to communicate, no ability to exchange the part for the right one, no ability to even determine what the right part is, and no ability to get a refund on the wrong part they sent. They've disconnected their phone lines, as a customer you are just screwed. Check YELP and other sites before buying. Be warned.
Hi everyone will i have ordered a lot of parts from rockauto and here lately the parts have been defective i have gotten 2 cv axle for my 2003 pt cruiser limited edition and its costing me $100.00 for have my Mechanic to put them on each time plus getting to parts my self then i got a o2 sensors for my car and its not working right my motor light can back on after reseting everything and still telling me bank 1 o2 sensors is messing up they don't care about customers they need to do a lot better to make sure everything is in working order before they send it to people that is a bad so please be careful they want you to send the part back witch thats more money out of everyones pocket an if you have a cv axle then you have to have one to put in it and or be with out a car til they send it to you i have a video but will not upload for some reason
You will get played with. You will waste time. You will regret ever going through this company. Then when you need to handle a return they'll charge you for it. There's no contact number to speak to someone and emails will be short, less than 4 word replies. I'll never use this company again nor will I ever recommend them to someone.
They sent the wrong part and a ripped up box I saw it was the wrong part tried numerous time to get some help but to no avail took part back and never received my mo yea or a phone call number was left and numerous email sent and nothing worst company to do business with!
Rock auto scams people so do not buy from them! I spent $325 and canceled my order the same day because I didn't need the parts. They refuse to refund me and tried to say that they never collected money and said they aren't refunding me my money. I never received parts either. I basically paid $325 for nothing. I have proof of the transaction as well. They lied and tried to say that they never charged the transaction. Lies! I have solid proof. They need to be reported because they steal from their customers. They have no customer service support whatsoever. Terrible horrible. If I could give negative stars I would give them a million. They ripped me off I have solid proof. Do not buy from them or you will get ripped off.
We live in Canada and generally pay double for absolutely anything in Canada. Car parts being no exception. So when RockAuto's all in price to the door (shipping, duties, etc) is much lower than anything in Canada, it's a no brainer. Add to that the overnight shipping, you also get your parts much faster than anything already in Canada. Add to that the thousands I've saved by keeping the dealership out of the equation and Rockauto truly is a savior for Canadians.
I had returned an old caliper for a core refund, and a few weeks later I ordered a belt for a volvo. I returned the belt without ever opening the package using their return guidelines. Somehow they got the two returns mixed up and insisted I sent the one to the wrong warehouse, and deducted shipping charges from my return, insisting I sent both products in the same package. I had already received a refund for the core before I even sent the other pkg back. After back and forth emails they just closed the case and my emails quit going through.
