Rockauto.com has the most useless help before or after the order. I will NEVER use them again! It is confusing and limited. Even if they had a chat box would help...but NO!
Ordered a steering rack, wrong part. Arrived and clearly it had been returned prior. Followed all guidelines to return but had to pay for a new shipping box due to nearly shredded original box. Denied refund because it wasn't in original packaging. Sent pics and explained why. Spent over $300 total(steering rack ad return shipping) only to find out I could pay another $29.17 for part to be returned. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with the piss poor company!
I received a large box of parts but not my hood. "Customer Service" said I have to wait for an investigation that can take up to two weeks. I contacted the carrier and they said they didn't deliver it to my house nor did they get it from rock auto. They took a picture that shows I don't have the hood. Why do I have to wait as a paying customer? If I knew it was going to take over 3 weeks for me to get my parts I would have ordered them from somewhere else! "Customer Service" doesn't even keep you updated even though they have your money and you can't cancel your order
They refuse to give me a return on a high pressure oil pump that cost a little more then $700. Because they said i ordered for the wrong car. When all i did was us their list of reference. The part fit fine. The problem was that it was a faulty pump with the same leak as my old pump.
Paid extra for next day delivery. Rock Auto took my money and shipped ground. Delivery delayed due to Rock Auto's negligence and incompetence. Weekend trip cancelled. Significant costs incurred. I would not have ordered from Rock Auto if they had not promised next day delivery. Incredible inconvenience. What a waste.
I was sent the wrong headlights. There is NO customer service department to speak with to correct issue. Instead I have to pay for shipping to return an item they messed up.
These scammers yes I call them scammers sent me an Incomplete order knowing that they don't have the part to complete the order and then they are telling me I have to pay to ship back the order because I don't want it. First off the incomplete order came in a terrible condition and that itself was a turn off. I would've kept it if all of my parts had came. But nope these guys sent half and then telling me they don't have the part. If they do this to others they are making nice cash off of us for making rockauto mistakes which can simply be corrected by reaching out to the customer. Dealing with them through email is enough. Wish I could speak to someone over the phone. No wonder don't have over the phone customer service because lot of people will treat them up. SMH not again
Rockauto.com sucks big time! Shipping is outrageous, customer service doesn't exist and I only see Rockauto.com as an option if you can't find the part anywhere else, even then you might not get what you paid for!
I was told when I ordered my part for my 2019 Toyota Camry it would be here on the 2nd when I tracked my order it says it'll be here on the 4th I'm from out of state and am stuck I don't know anyone here and I can't work to make money to get a motel room so I'm stuck staying in my car and it is very cold
My husband ordered a part for the car, I paid 10 dollars for fast delivery, the part did not arrive on the indicated date, and he wanted to cancel the order and it is not possible! He will have to cancel the order through the card! I do not recommend this page!
So, went on to RockAuto website noticed the part that I got that was incorrect had been deleted from the website within the last few hours. Then I get an email from the service department that says I chose the incorrect part! I gave them all the correct part numbers so they could correct their wrong part numbers and they are not going to issue me a refund... FYI RockAuto there is a difference between Blue springs and Green springs how can you sell them without offering that option? Or even knowing what I'm talking about LOL. As I mentioned in my first review, stay away from these crooks.
If you order ship by mail they give it to DHL which is the worst logistics co. They send it all over first then give it to the post office if rockauto had given it to po 3 days dhl about 8 days if your lucky,find it some where else if you can price about same sfter shipping charges
4/2023- recently made a purchase ordering $600. In parts. I ordered all the correct parts and submitted with my credit card and it was pending for 2 days. I checked with my credit card company and they assured me it was approved. Not sure why the delay as rockauto site says it's the creditcard company or bank not authorizing the order.
Rock auto allows you to cancel the order when entering your order number and the site says that,"order is cancelled". It doesn't give you a cancelation # but gives you the ability to re-order if you like. So I re-order after checking and calling the credit card that has a pending authorization. One would think it would be cancelled.
I re-order the same exact order without having to go through entering all part#. Here is where it's I have a huge issue. My re-ordered parts came in 2 days (not the complaint) but a week later I start to receive my cancelled order. No big deal right, I'll just return and get a full refund. Shady rock auto gives you a refund on the parts only and you get penalized for their error not only for them to ship it out but also on the return. $110. Or so in waisted shipping on rock autos error.
You can only communicate thru email and it never goes in your favor. The return process is a joke. The options as why you want to return product are very limited and don't apply to the actual reason for return.
Hope this review can help anyone from NOT purchasing thru this site.
They rip you off by taking your money for a purchase then when it comes to a warranty they get credit for it and don't give you a refund but send a discount code I just laughed I wouldn't buy from your company ever again after this and I'm telling others about how you conduct your business.
I placed an order with rockauto because it said I would have it 6 days before Amazon. After placing my order I was sent shipping confirmation and it will not arrive until 3 days after Amazon. They have removed all customer service. I have been using Rockauto for almost 10 years, NOT ANYMORE. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, NO CUSTOMER.
IF I COULD GIVE A ZERO I WOULD. I'm feeling totally shafted. Picture on site had certain pattern for wheel lock key. Was supposed to come with lock key and FOUR (4) locks. I expedited shipping to get here quickly. Shipping arrived a day later than what I paid for (ok I can deal with that). I open Fed Ex package to find Mopar package sliced open and wrong key lock design AND only TWO (2) other locks. THERE IS NO ONE TO SPEAK WITH THERE, and I have to process return through this automated bs AND PAY THEM FOR THEIR SHIPPING LABEL TO SEND BACK THE WRONG PRODUCT. WTF? Never again. All the parts you'll car will ever need? BULL$$$$! BUYER BEWARE.
I ordered 2 CV axles for my truck. When I received the order one of the axles was damaged. Processed an exchange order for a replacement. When I received the replacement it also was damaged. RockAuto will not send another replacement as they can't guarantee the next won't be damaged. I can only return it for a refund. This means I need to send both back as both of my axles need to be replaced. RockAuto wants me to pay to ship one axle back. RockAuto is forcing the return so they need to do right and absorb the shipping cost. Its not my fault the axle received is damaged. Sent e-mails with no response. Left voice messages with no response.
Bought a clutch kit and they screwed up the label, now I have to wait for them to say it's missing to get a refund, which I doubt you'll get money back and only "in store". When it comes to customer support, everything is done "on-site" which is lazy in my eyes. You can't have any real people as customer support besides clicking options and then basically says well you're out of luck. You guys suck and forever will suck! Thanks for having my car down another 2weeks for a simple clutch kit! Wasted my money and stressing more about bills! ONCE AGAIN YOU SUCK! And you're lucky I can't give you no stars!
Always get excellent parts and very quick delivery. Parts are always with in my price range.
