Customer service is horrible.
I ordered brakes, rotors, shocks, bump stops. Etc.
One of the rotors was the correct box, part number but had the wrong rotor in the box. The box was taped shut.
I had to reorder another correct rotor per rockauto then I was to send the wrong part rockauto sent me back, rockauto will not respond to any of my emails
I have contacted PayPal and filed a complaint, have not heard anything from them.
But rockauto got there money
Just to the dealer or local parts store

Not impressed

Constantly late on their delivery times. Even when paying for expedited shipping. Returns are very cost prohibitive. I will be returning to using local parts dealers from now on.

I ordered parts and paid for overnight shipping. The parts did not arrive on time or even in a remotely acceptable time frame. I asked for a refund on shipping and they said they do not guarantee ship dates and stopped responding all together. Their return process is beyond horrible.

This morning, I tried to use my store credit that I received on7/13/23. I put in my information and then put in my store credit number. I had an issue with my card and had to start over. At this point, my store credit was gone. It stated it was not found, been used or had no balance. I immediately reached out to their NON EXISTANT custumer email and I could die before I get a response. While we have ordered from there before and had no issue, I am sure that I will not be recommending them again. Without a good customer service with quick response, it makes you wonder.

Horrible service

I paid for over night shipping and too 3 days for the order to arrive. So the question is why pay for shipping if part doesn't arrive when the shipping says it will. Also when trying to figure out customer service their isn't a number and the help section is the worst. I will never order from them again. Was a waste of money.

Fuel pump I ordered did not pump the last five gallons from my tank. Wanted to review the part so others would not make the mistake of ordering it. Could not find a way on the Rock Auto website to review the product. Or to review the company. They announce on the corporate headquarters phone greeting that they do not provide customer service by phone.

Core refund

I sent my core in about 4 months ago payed for shipping if I get my refund back I will be 5 dollars in the hole. I recommend using brick and morter over these guys. They tell me they have my core in the warehouse but I need a tracking number to receive a refund. They just keep giving me the run around! By email only can't call them no phone Numbers! Stay away if you know what is good for you!

Defective parts (rotors)

I just received a new set of rotors for my '83 C10 Chevy Pickup Truck and they seem to be defective parts from the China manufacturer. The inner bearing cavity on the hub is to big to fit the OEM bearing and spindle. It takes a bigger bearing than my regular bearing. The front outer bearing is a perfect match though. I am having trouble sending these parts back in getting a return label. They do not reply and kicked my out of my browser whilst in the midst of submitting my return and now the site "suddenly" will not load. After all of these years buying parts from rock auto, this is the thanks I get? All I want to do is to return these defective rotors and purchase the correct ones.

Ran my transaction 3 times

Charged me two times for one item and another time with different bank. I have emailed several times with no response. Both banks stated they have to release the pending hold. The employee lied and said I wasn't verified by a PayPal by email after I emailed 6 times. PayPal representative said I have been verified since 2004. No excuses If it were me personally, I would've returned everything, but unfortunately, it was for someone else. The communication skills were horrible.They lied and profiling people thinking I was committing fraud had me run transaction 3 times. The bank said they still have the hold on the funds and Rock Auto saying they don't which they do I checked and they still holding the funds.

Dealing with Rockauto is like dealing with the federal government. As fast as they take your money, as slow they return it (if it comes to that) if reclaimed. So easy for them to make business when you can't contact a human being on their side if needed. Think it twice when doing business with this firm.

Stay AWAY

This company was such a nightmare to deal with I had to go through PayPal to dispute some charges they were still trying to get me with when I had returned all the parts that were incorrect and incompatible with my vehicle well looks like PayPal agreed with me and gave me my refund like I should have gotten in the first place. I shouldn't have to fight with a company just to give me my refund for parts that I had already returned and for them to brush it off and say it wasn't their fault It's just very unprofessional. Do NOT ORDER FROM HERE EVER.

Wrong & Broken parts

My experience with Rock Auto so far has been terrible. I received the wrong part twice in a row. Even if the second one was correct, it's bent so badly that it wouldn't work.

Their website is a pain to use. The photos on their site do not match the parts received, the mobile version of their site has issues, and they also have no customer service via phone.

I will never be ordering from Rock Auto again.

Half of the parts I ordered were completely wrong. The spark plugs inside the boxes didn't match the number on the box. One of the eight spark plug boxes was empty. The plug wires were supposed to be direct fit, and they weren't, and did not even include the correct Style ends. The return system is a complete joke, they won't accept fault and won't refund me for the shipping. I've spent thousands of dollars with them over the years and dozens of orders, this is the first one they got wrong and they refused to take responsibility for it.

Purchased a front and rear brake package from Rock Auto - Specified them for my car and they came in and were wrong. I have the car 1/2 taken apart and in a real bind. Spent over an hour trying to call someone to figure out why but no customer service is avail. Spend another 30 min going thru their return process then having to pay shipping to return. I went to my local autoparts store - 5 min had the correct parts on the counter. Rock Auto - you stink.

I have used rock auto for 10 plus years never had an issue withparts or warranty the issues I did have where because of shipping ie fed x to be honest fed x sucks they always damage the package accept one time in 2014 they actually deliver it in good condition fair warning it's the shipper not rock auto I wish they would offer a different shipper that would be amazing ps I am a mechanic some parts can not be dropped like brake rotors and oxygen sensors

I am a person that don't often order online, I am from Canada and heard about the Rock Auto site.So i thought i would give it a try and ordered a radiator and all hoses, cap ect well when i received the radiator i brought it to my local repair shop, i gave all the parts that i purchased on the rock auto site, it cost me $355 for the parts in Canadian dollars with the exchange rate. The guys at the auto repair installed the radiator but realized it was the wrong one. They sent me a totally different radiator from the one they have advertized but with so much adjustments trying to make it fit and the cost was outragous. After installing Radiator the repair shop realized not one of the hoses or cap would fit and the radiator did not come with a cap. It has been a nightmare trying to find a cap. I am now getting one custom made, I am out $1000 dollars in repairs and parts. Reached out to rock auto said that they won't return because installed and i would have to pay for shipping which is the cost of the items themselves. My advise STAY Far AWAY from Rock Auto a bunch of robbers selling wrong parts and no customer service whatsoever... Learn from this Sucker! Don't buy Rock Auto Parts
