Sure, you'll save a little bit of money using rock auto. Your order won't arrived when estimated and don't plan to do any work based on shipping estimates. Do better rockauto! Amazon can have my orders at my house without min two days. Just buy at Amazon and save yourself the trouble.

I ordered marker lights for my 1997 Dodge van 2500B. Not only were they the only place I could find them both, they had the most reasonable price and shipping was only 6.99! Carparts. Com charged 3 times that in shipping for headlights for same vehicle earlier in the year. I prefer rock auto myself.

Terrible

I ordered from them a lot. It was pretty smooth until I needed help from customer service. Like many online companies, they don't have customer service.

Instead, they have options to select, and those options don't describe my problem. I'm stuck in limbo with $500 worth of parts sitting at FedEx that I can't pick up. All they need to do is authorize package pick up. Very frustrating. Cant get ahold of anybody will be my last order from here and will make sure to tell everyone to stray away from these thieves

Brought all of the parts to rebuild the front end of my truck. All parts said they worked with my truck. Once installed and driven to the alignment shop 4 of the parts failed because they are NOT to OEM specs. Brought parts from somewhere else and they worked fine. Didn't get all of my money back from RockAuto. BS!

Ordered brake rebuild kits (rotors, pad, hardware; 2 kits; front and back) and the rear brake kit had both rotor missing and the front brake kit only had one rotor. That being said, it didn't matter. All the parts were WRONG! Rockauto.com has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! Returning for a refund is a night mare! And Shipping costs are Astronomical; and Have to Pay Return Shipping Cost!
First time using online auto ordering. NEVER AGAIN! Use you Local Auto Parts Store. They had everything need and is was CORRECT! And no waiting 10 DAYS to get your parts!

Regrettable

Lately, what they sell is garbage, the worst guarantees and the policies only at their convenience. I prefer the physical stores. I bought a timing kit from different brands twice and both were defective and I have to pay labor again and also shipping.

Their automated system is total garbage, wrong part and system does everything to avoid mentioning it must be their error, I am done ordering from this place after 4 incorrect orders. I've spent thousands though them and must have got lucky on a lot of stuff, in Canada can't always get parts for classics cars but will sure look everywhere else first. No human customer service for a reason just to rip people off!

Ordered a widow regulator for a 2018 Chevy Cruze and was sent one for a 2016, I know this because it was clearly written on the box the part came in. Absolutely no quality control, jam parts out to customers with no regard whether it's correct. Finally got to doing the work and "surprise", it's been more than 30 days so I am stuck with a part I can't use. You can't even talk to anyone. I will bring my business elsewhere.

Prices are fantastic. Shipping cost for basic shipping is cheap and generally arrives within 2 - 5 days. All my parts have been good.
The exact same wheel hub was 35$ on sale or 60$.
At Autozone it cost 120$

Rock auto shipped my product to wrong address and i didn't notice until i got email and in email it stated that it had shipped and when i reached out to them they stated they can not change the address i also contact the company delivering the product and they stated that rock auto had a restriction on package and that it can not be held for pick up or address updated that rock auto would have to reach out to them to correct it and rock auto refused to stated that IF my package was returned they would refund cost of product but not cost of shipping and i would have to order item again as they WILL NOT CONTACT COMPANY DELIVERING ITEM AND ASK TO UPDATE ADDRESS OR FOR ITEM TO BE HELD.

Oh and not to mention there is no way to reach customer service accept through email.
No CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER TO CALL..

Horrible customer service

I paid $100 for expedited next day delivery My item didn't arrive for 4 days so I had to get the part elsewhere. They're refusing to refund the cost of shipping and charging me an additional $30 to now return the part that I can't use. I have messaged no less than five times I talked to UPS who told me that RockAuto could contact them and they would refund it but they won't do it

There was a fraudulent charge on my card for Amazon after using rockauto.com. This may have nothing to do with RockAuto and I tried to give them a heads-up anyway but they don't answer their phones.

I received my package today on 08/07/2023 and when I opened the package it was an order for someone else. The box had my information on it but the purchase order had someone else's name and their parts not mine. I was needing to talk to someone about it but there is no customer service to speak to someone. I had to do a return/refund on the website and ended up getting charged $7.33 for a return label so I could send the wrong parts back to them. I would highly recommend using a car parts.com because apparently Rockauto is about making money and not assisting their customers.Below is a photo of the box with my information and the order receipt that was in the box which is an order for someone else.

BUYERS BE WARE!
So I purchased a bunch of parts for 96 Suburban. One item was a Spider injection assembly FJ504 Standard Motor Products, A/C Delco was available at the time of purchase. About a week later the built in fuel pressure regulator went out. I try to contact RockAuto to avail and even emailed them, no response. They asked in a questionnaire if it is an item I could repair and the cost of repair. To my surprise I NEVER HEARD BACK, It cost $600 bucks to have the shop go back in and replace a DEFECTIVE fuel pressure regulator. I am always looking for a great deal on auto parts but to not get back to your customer. Shame on you RockAuto!

Ordered a part of 7/20/23, label through FedEx created immediately. As of 8/6/23 nothing changed. I wrote emails, no response. They had no trouble taking my money immediately. Place has gone right down the toilet!

I ordered a part that according to their website should have fit my car but it was too big and when i returned it they said i returned a damaged part but i was never even used so they6 only refunded me $50 on an almost $300 part and also showed no proof of so called damage. When i called them out on that they ignored me.

I've been dealing with rock auto for 10 plus years. And I've never, ever had any problems stemming from their business practices, their products, their prices and/or selection.
The only less than ideal transaction was a few years back. I purchased a "reman" carburetor for a late 60's Mustang. I was responsible for returning them my core. For those that are unfamiliar, it's when you but a part and send the one that's failed back to them so that they can then repair your original part and sell it to another customer in the future. When this occurs, you pay a "core" which can be steep depending on the item, but it's there to insure they'll have a stock to work with. This is common practice across the board for carburetors, starters, alternators, and so on. Well they charged me (upfront) a core of, oh I dunno 60 or so dollars. They clearly communicated that if I didn't send it back within a specific time, I'd lose a portion of that core in the form of a refund. Well, needless to say, I returned it late. Very late. Wen I received my refund it was like 15% less than I expected. Me being all twisted up called them and they reiterated their policy. Yeah that sucked but, it was 100% my fault. Lemme sum it up, they are a really good company to deal with! So, for them to have compiled enough bad reviews to have a 1.54 rating is preposterous! These low ratings are from people ordering the wrong item(s) or they're simply pissed off because they threw parts at their ride instead of knowing what the hell they were doing and their hooptie is still laid due to misdiagnosis. I can say that and feel OK because there are plenty of "mechanics" out here and 80% of them are self titled because a true mechanic can diagnose, order correctly and move on. Y'all haters are just $#*!ty parts changers. At best!
