Do not I repeat DO NOT use Rock Auto they are CROOKS they will charge you for shipping and you will NOT receive your order for four or five days and there will be nothing you can do cause they don't have customer service so you can't get your money back

There's customer service, and then there's what this company does to you. No pleasantries. No acknowledging and expression of care or concern. And when you ask for or suggest a need for assistance, don't expect any. That A Jole Jaren is as helpful as a fork in the eye. I'm done with this company. I highly recommend anyone and everyone to find your parts elsewhere. You'll get better service from Ebay. F rockauto.

Rock Auto just lost tons of customers, due to their unethical business practices and greed. They do not care about their customers and have "policies" to protect themselves from giving customers back their monies, when Rock Auto does not follow through on shipping items on time - and refusing to give any refunds on shipping. Rock Auto does not care when customers need an item in a timely manner and causes an inconvenience to customers. Rock Auto refuses to take responsibility when items are not delivered on the proposed date (when we paid for shipping) and Rock Auto never updated tracking information. Furthermore, Rock Auto will require you to pay for additional shipping to return an item they did not deliver on time (when we paid a specific amount of money to receive the item on an expected date) and then we no longer need the item - since Rock Auto forced us to search and purchase the item elsewhere. Rock Auto did not update the tracking information and we had no idea where the item was and when it would be delivered. When we voiced our complaint through an email, since Rock Auto are cowards and hides behind emails and refuses to provide a customer service telephone number….and their email response to our complaint- was basically expressing the fact that they did not care and it's too bad for us, because they don't "guarantee" anything on delivery dates and it's not their problem and they WILL NOT REFUND SHIPPING and we would be required to pay for additional shipping costs to return an unopened package. They have no sense of professionalism, ethics, or decency….Rock Auto is a company out for pure greed and only cares about themselves. Best believe, we will never purchase anything from Rock Auto
Again, we encourage everyone to purchase your auto parts from respectful and reputable companies - and that is not Rock Auto.

Purchased part with a core charge. Nothing mentioned about returning in the original box until you're ready to return. Unfortunately the installing mechanic threw the original box out. $175.00 down the drain! Of course they could mention that the part needs to be returned in the original box at time of purchase but if they did they wouldn't be able to rip you off as easily.

Ridiculous that there is no customer support. The part pictured that was ordered was part AA5A-9F479-DA Germany. Part received was AA5A-9F479-DB China. So you get an inferior Chinese part when you think you are getting what the vehicle had in it that was made in Germany. Just another case of business screwing you. Then there is no way to contact Rock Auto to ask a question. They totally just don't care. I saw other Chinese parts for about 1/2 of the price, but wanted to stay with what was in vehicle. First picture is from Rock Auto when ordered. Shows correct number & Germany. Second picture from vehicle. 3rd picture is the Chinese part received and different part number. The picture should agree to what is actually shipped. Waited a week to get this.

Horrible Customer Service

Unable to contact anyone about a problem. Shipment delayed 3 days with no recourse. Shipping company says to contact Rockauto but I cant. This online stuff is a joke.

Failure to communicate

I ordered a part from rock auto, they gave me a tracking number but no idea as to which shipper they shipped with, turns out the tracking number was nothing more than a reference number to my shipment which was even more confusing because if you can't use the tracking number a reference number is even more useless. It took me 4 days to figure out their confusion. Rockauto has no customer service at all, nobody to call and no way to find out anything hell they operate like a scam website. Not good business.

We ordered fog lights for our new truck. Website said they fit our year, make and model, but they didn't. Return process was a nightmare. Fed Ex taped the 2 boxes together. Not our shipper, their shipper. We had each return slip in each box. They are saying they can't find the other box so we are out that money. Total scam!

Still had to pay shipping!

This place sucks! I ordered and paid for parts that I didn't get and were returned and I still had to pay shipping! I literally just game them 30$ and I'm on a fixed income! Save yourself the trouble and go to NAPA or AutoZone! Then the website doesn't have a customer service representative you can talk to or call! They make the website where you can't. Rock auto sucks! I got less than 20$ of parts and it cost me over 45$

Useless

I ordered a box of parts from Rockauto and when I received it there were wrong parts and missing parts. It was like they had a blind guy walk down the Isles putting random stuff in there. Whoever printed out the order form put in incorrect part numbers that did not match my original order.

I've emailed but have had no replies. I can't ship them back because I live in New Zealand so will cost more than the parts are worth.

You'd think they'd have half a clue and double check the order before sending it half way around the planet. Never again.

No customer service. Did not refund full amount.

I ordered a 14 piece front end kit for my truck and only received 12 of the 14 pieces. $146 kit before shipping and taxes. I noted on my return info online that 2 pieces were missing, I notated on the original paper work which was missing, and I notated on the return paperwork which pieces were missing. They received the 12 pieces and made me pay for the shipping label and then ONLY REFUNDED ME FOR 12 PIECES. $129! So I have now paid for two pieces I never got and shipping twice. Never using this site again or referring it! Cannot find a way to contact them further. Extremely ridiculous.

Brilliant service

I have used many USA companies over the years when sourcing parts for my rare right hand drive 1960 Buick Electra 225.
I have owned the car for 42 years.

I have never used Rock Auto before and was unsure if they would be any good compared to other companies I have used.
I am glad I didnt read all the bad reviews as
Rock Auto exceeded my expectations.

Only 8 days from the time I placed the order to when I received my 4 wheel cylinders and 8 brake shoes.
Thats exceptional service from the US to New Zealand.
My cars back on the road thanks to Rock Autos.

Stoked with my new Brake shoes and my new wheel cylinders.
Fantastic.

RockAuto shipped me a part their website said was compatible with my vehicle. Received it, and it's not compatible. They have no way to get in touch with a person, just the website review process. The website had no way to put that they shipped incompatible parts. The only solution was to receive a refund of half the purchase price, when it's their fault for shipping me incompatible parts. Should have bought somewhere else. This website is a scam.

Been ordering for over 8 years for a few family cars. Never had issue and only needed to return one part due to my mistake. Never had to replace another part more than once. We even have family and friends that use them know and have been for years as well.
