Secured our booking and paid almost 1,000 dollars and was told a pick up date and was told we would get a 2-3 hr window for pick up. They called 3 days prior and confirmed pick up date. The day before pick up I get a call saying they will be at my house in 20 mins. I live rural. There was no way I could be there in 20
Mins and told the man I was told pick up was the next day. The soonest I could get there was 40 mins. He said he can't wait that long and he will pick up the original day planned. Again was told would get 2-3 hr window but to be safe my husband stayed home until they came. Got a call again 20 mins before pickup. We were given a delivery date and checked often to see if it was still on par. On the delivery date it got later and later and I called to check on things. I was told the car would be delivered but it might be as late as 9pm and again we would get a call with the window. My son took off work to make sure he was available. By 7:30 pm still had not heard anything. Called and company was closed. Called next morning and was told they show the car should have been delivered and they would call me right back. Waited 2 more hours and called back and was told delivery dates aren't guaranteed and I asked why there is no communication if there is a delay and why was I just told day prior it would still be delivered that day. Was given no answer. I said I need a real update and where my car was because my son needs to take off to pick it up. The lady says he doesn't need to take off. They can just leave the car somewhere and hide the keys. How this is acceptable I'm not sure. Especially when the condition of the car needs to be reviewed or it's an apartment complex. I again asked what is the new update because you're told you can track where your car is and when it will be delivered. You can't. The lady told me the best she could do is try and locate the company they contracted and email an update and that's the best I will get. Extremely unacceptable and unprofessional.
To start, I hardly ever write reviews (good or bad), but service from Road Runner was THE WORST! I initially booked a car shipment about 3 weeks prior to my desired pick up date on 5/17/2023. I spoke with the agent, Nick Raymundo, where he booked me with the reassurance that I would receive a booking well in advanced (about 1 week prior to desired date). 1 week leading up to the pick up date, I call again because carrier tracking is still "pending" meaning no one has confirmed pick up for my car yet. Up until THE DAY BEFORE my desired pick up date, A CARRIER STILL HAS NOT CONFIRMED MY CAR FOR PICK UP. I have had terrible customer service in attempting to contact both Nick as well as attempting to reach any other agent for help where I am placed on over a 30-40 minute hold. I was so stressed because I told Nick in previous calls that the latest pick up would have to be 5/18, because I will be on a flight to go back home the following day. I was unabIe to even cancel my booking in a timely manner because no one would answer their phone. I called Nick Raymundo twice with upsetting voice messages and not once did he call me back. When I finally got through to the general line, I was told by another agent (Luisa) after a 30 min hold that I won't get a confirmation of carrier assignment until the day of the shipment. LIKE WHAT?! This is completely unacceptable as I was never told that this would be the case and I am forced into this waiting game. I ended up going with Sherpa auto transport, where I had to make a last minute booking on 5/16, requesting them to get me a carrier to pick up my car between 5/16 to 5/18 at the latest. They were so knowledgeable and helped me through a stressful time that Road Runner caused me. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT CHOOSE ROAD RUNNER AUTO TRANSPORT UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE STRESSED OUT OF YOUR MIND. Terrible customer service service, their quotes are so low that no carrier wants to pick up your booking (which I was unaware of), they lie, are extremely unreliable, and do not care about their customers.
This situation just happened and unfortunately nothing is embellished. While earlier experiences with Road Runner Auto Transport had been positive this latest interaction was a disaster. They originally scheduled pick up Friday - the carrier was a non show, And no communication from RR. Saturday same deal - and when I called it took, 25 min, then 45 min, then over an hour to reach anyone to clarify - and still got a load of bullsh** that the carrier couldn't be reach or that they didn't know where the driver was etc - went on until Monday midday when they notified me that the carrier had cancelled. Very helpful given my son was headed to the airport and the car 1,500 miles away - Roadrunner totally screwed me with their ineptness and lack of communication. Then when I suggested it was their responsibility to find a replacement and fast, they said that wasn't their responsibility - even after I reminded them that they were in the business of cusotmer service. I scrambled but within 2 hours found someone else to transport the car - TWO HOURS WHEN IT TOOK ROADRUNNER FOUR DAYS ONLY TO SAY NO CAN DO.
DON'T USE THEM. This company is a joke and management worthless. I would have ranked lower if I could. Is this review credible? The booking order was #R******* - as proof.
I really appreciate it because they are really nice guy and they helped me a lot. Service quality is really nice!
I called RoadRunner after another auto transport company stood me up a day before my move. I called so that I could speak to comeone directly and get confirmation that the car would be picked up prior to us moving, very quickly. Well, they assured me (and took my money). I went the entire scheduled pick up day (move day) with not one ounce of communication from RoadRunner, lol. No one ever called or showed up.
But they took the money in full upfront. It's honestly a genius business model for them, but as a customer, if you are moving, have a time frame or generally value your time... avoid these people at all costs. Yikes.
While loading my car on the trailer the bell housing contacted the trailer structure and shattered! I was driving the car and the trucker was positioning planks to keep the car from bottoming out. Obviously unsuccessfully! When I went to file an insurance claim RR employee Jenna informed me that since I was driving the car the claim would be denied! She also said that the insurance would not cover mechanical issues! Do yourself a favor and stay away from these crooks!
This is the type of response you get from Road Runner if you decide not to use them. This is the voice mail that was left for me after I hung up when he was being rude to me. I assume any reasonable individual will understand why I hung up rather than listen to him rather than put up with his disrespectful attitude which totally presents itself in the script of my voice mail! "Hi Denise or Devon whatever your name is this is Sean with the Road Runner I'm just calling back to let you know that I was only trying to help you and you decided to be ignorant immature and rude and you gave me an attitude and hung up in the middle of a conversation that I was trying to help you um it's fine if you don't wanna believe me but once you get scammed or they just don't show up to pick up your vehicle just remember that I told you so and when you think of calling me back to help you with the other company______ to pick it up I'm not gonna do it now hey I'm not gonna help you get your vehicle picked up Wednesday scam you because you decided to be ignorant and rude to me so um have fun trying to get your vehicle picked up that's going to company was lying to you all right have a great day happy holidays Denise..."
I needed to move my car from Florida to Virginia and contacted several vehicle transport companies, Road Runner being among them. For background, what I've learned of this industry is that most of these companies are brokers, meaning that they facilitate the transportation by another company. The driver gets paid a fairly standard rate and the middle man takes the rest off the top. Road Runner was by far the most expensive option I found. Bruce called a couple of times and I told him I was still getting estimates. The last time he called I had finished getting estimates and told him that he was the high bidder. He told me that other companies would bait and switch me, that their prices were not total. He asked how much over Road Runner was, I told him. He said "that car won't get picked up" and hung up. I emailed him, told him that his abrupt termination of our conversation was rude, the least he owed me was a cordial termination to our conversation.
For the record, I contracted with a competitor for less than half the cost of Road Runner. My vehicle was picked up the very next day and delivered the day after that, no fuss, no muss. So much for "that vehicle won't get picked up." Do yourself a favor, save some money, go with a lower bidder. There is no reason to overpay for the same service.
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! They were unprofessional and shady, not to mention that they did not call before coming to pick up the cars. They arrived several days early at our destination and since they only take cash or check we had to scramble to get someone out there to pay him. And it doesn't end there. When we payed them they tried to cash our check twice. Besides that, when we tried to contact them about this they put us on hold then just hung up. For their credit, our cars, both of them, did arrive in fine condition although not on schedule. But other than that, I have no good things to say about this company.
NASTY, NO PHONE WILL GO THROUGH TO THEM AT ALL, THEY GIVE YOU A PRICE, THEN CALL YOU MANY DAYS LATER, AND SAY"I GOT A GUY TO DO IT, BUT ITS $400 BUCKS MORE". THEN THEY GET NASTY WITH YOU TO BOOT. TOTAL SCAM ARTISTS, GET READY FOR THE BIG BUMP, THE DAY THEY ARE READY TO GO GETIT. STAY AWAY, SCAM, SCAM, SCAM.
This company is an absolute joke. I bought a vehicle as a gift for my wife, I needed the vehicle here on July 10. I placed the order July 6. I was promised that it would not be a problem. As of July 8, they still didn't have a carrier assigned. I called and chatted multiple times and they assured me there was plenty of time.
On July 9, we got a text saying it would be picked up that day and they would call 2 hours in advance.
I called at 5 PM to let them know that we still haven't received a call, they said not to worry that they work until 10PM and Carriers until 9Pm.
Well between 7PM and 8PM I called, attempted to chat and NO ONE was available. So, obviously this is a small mickey mouse operation that doesn't take responsibility for their mistakes nor care about their customers.
I have worked for major corporations where no matter the size of the customer, we were responsible to ensure satisfaction. How difficult would it have been to call a supervisor or manager on a day off to have them make a business decision to a solution, apparently there are no decision makers only order takers at this organization.
Left numerous messages and no response.
Today is July 10, the car is not here and they still have no answer. Only today, they are now on limited staff and have no solutions, yet they charged my credit card yesterday.
Avoid this company at all cost, absolute garbage. Customer support is full of crap and will tell you anything to get you off the phone. Their sales reps are full of lies.
I will be filing a dispute with my bank, they will be reported to BBB and they will be blasted on every social media and blog site related to their business.
By far the worst car transport service. To start I spoke to "Nick Pomo Roman" who promised me that my car could be picked up in a weeks time. He told me I would receive a phone call later in the week to confirm the driver. As it became closer to the promised pick up date, I called Nick to confirm the status and he never picked up or returned any of my voicemails (as I began to call each day). It became very apparent that he was screening my calls.
From there I began reaching out to the customer service line which would state "we are experiencing a high volume of customers at this time" and would keep me on hold for about 5 minutes until it automatically hung up. Once I did get through, the customer service representatives were extremely disrespectful and no help at all. I noticed a trend as I began calling everyday once the date passed of the promised pick up. They would become more and more disrespectful as if I was wasting their time.
Finally a week later after my promised pick up date, I received a call stating that the driver has been confirmed and that it will cost me an additional $350 due to the vehicle being in an area "not close to a highway". This could have been identified in the original quote instead of scamming people to sign up for their service on a specific quote and then dangling the carrot in their face, with the scheduled driver and saying "oh it'll cost you more if you really want it". The location of the pick up never changed and they could have given me the actual quote at the very beginning.
Terrible service, their website is all a lie and I highly doubt they moved all the "celebrities" that they claim on their page. I will never use this companies terrible service again and I highly recommend that you think twice before signing yourself up for the mess that I had to deal with.
I contacted this company to have my two vehicles shipped from Oregon to Arizona. The sales team was super responsive and I decided to book the job. As the date got closer I wanted to talk to the salesperson who helped me. I called his extension and left multiple messages. No callback, so I decided to call the company directly. It is impossible to get thru to anyone. It says there is an unusually high call volume and after about 15 minutes it literally hangs up on you.
Finally the day before the scheduled pick-up date, I started emailing them and I got someone to call me on the phone. They assured me that everything was confirmed for pick up the next day and that the driver would call me 2-3 hours before arriving. Guess what happened the next day, nothing. Can't get ahold of the company, they are closed tomorrow. I am flying with my family to move to Arizona and I have two cars sitting in the hotel parking lot. They have already taken my money. Disgusting.
Booked for my car to be shipped and gave them a ready day. 5 days pass by and I still haven't heard a thing from them. You try calling customer service and get passed around from one representative to another then the call will eventually drop. Most frustrating thing ever
Long story short - Roadrunner was supposed to communicate with the auto transport company about the delivery. They did not. There was essentially no communication with the company and when I called them, they placed the blame on me saying that I should have handled the whole situation. Beyond disappointed with their "service". Once they take your money, expect nothing on their part. You're on your own from then on. Would give negative stars if I could. Please save yourself the time and stress and go somewhere else.
Full story - called their main phone many times and no response. Their phone leaves you on hold and hangs up on you after a few rings. This was around 3-4 pm on a Thursday, which was well within their posted hours of Mon-Fri from 8 am to 10 pm. Left a message in three places and finally got a call from their customer service representative this morning and the agent was on the defensive an entire time. Basically, the entire conversation was blaming me and that Roadrunner "assumes no liability for anything". The agent laughed in my face when I expressed my concerns and troubles to him and berated me about why I was upset that my car arrived earlier than expected. Well, was I supposed to be able to predict the future? How am I supposed to predict that my car will arrive four days earlier than their estimated delivery date?
I've never been so disappointed after talking with a customer service agent (they're worse than talking with the cable companies - and that's saying something!). At this point, their customer service department should not even include the words "customer" or "service" because they could not care less about either of those things. If you're looking at their page trying to decide if you should give them a call, don't. Save yourself the time, the hassle, and the money. Avoid at all costs.
If it we're possible to give this company 0 stars I would. Roadrunner was horrible. I called them a month before I was moving across the country, and Alex promised me he would list it early enough for it to be picked up before my moving date and would arrive in time for when I needed it. He also told me there were "3 spots left" on the truck that would be traveling on my route. The price was great and they were going to accommodate my need to pack a few things in my vehicle, so I booked with them. I was scammed big time! I called 2 weeks before my moving date, and they said everything was on track. Then I called a few times the week of because no carrier was assigned to my car yet, and I was reassured by countless people that this was normal and not to worry. Fast forward to 2 days before my move, three days past when they said my car was available for pick-up and Roadrunner said they were working on it and there wasn't much more they could do and there was no guarantee a carrier would be assigned before I moved. I asked to speak to a manager and no one called me back. I couldn't get ahold of the booking agent. It was ridiculous. I ended up calling 4 other auto transport companies because of my need to get the car out ASAP, and all 4 said Roadrunner was not offering the drivers a fair price for my car. I cancelled my roadrunner booking becuase of how awful my experience was, and booked with Easy Autoship. They were able to find a carrier in TWO HOURS after listing my car and they were so nice. My car is now on its way to its destination... even though Roadrunner said there were no drivers to take it. Funny how that works.
Moral of the story: Roadrunner sucks. Don't fall for their scam and take your business to a more reliable company. Im still getting over the shock of just how terrible there customer service was (whenever I was able to get ahold of them... which was hardly ever)
I used this company to ship my motorcycle. They say on their website that they ship bikes. They are nothing more then a brokerage company for bike shipment. When I got my booking documents it was actually with another company Premier Motorcycle Transport. Premier is also nothing more then a brokerage company. My bike was delivered by yet a 3rd carrier. Their communication is non existent once they have your money. My bike was delivered majorly damaged. Now I need to get this resolved, not to mention now I have a bike with a diminished value as well. My bike was delivered in a furniture style straight truck. It had ratchet straps right over the paint and tied down right to the floor. No soft straps, not blankets or any type of covering, no motorcycle fixture or skid to put the bike in so it wasn't damaged. There was a pallet jack in the truck not secured most likely banging into my bike then entire trip. Stay away, stay far away from this company.
I got an online quote and immediately I got the hard sell from Sean Dillon. Told him we were going to explore other options for now and that we had plenty of time and he told me this... That makes sense too. Since you're a shipping expert (who is going online getting quotes from random companies and using Uship which is a 4th party) ill unsubscribe and block your email praying you never use the website or contact us again. Good luck! Perhaps he was off his meds?
Am so dissatisfied with Roadrunner services. My car was scheduled to be picked up tomorrow 3/15/2021; however, a carrier has not been assigned. Called the company clearly they close on the weekend. Automatate service say for real time updates and fast updates go online to chat with a representative. Well the the only thing about that is nobody's is available by chat and Carrier still say "pending". I have a flight that leaves on Tuesday morning. I have called and left messages and send email but have not heard from anybody.
Getting them on the phone to make a sale they are VERY responsive. When there is an issue, no one returns calls or your asked to contact the website and hung up on. If you get lucky to actually get someone live, they have no idea how to contact your transport unless they contact you? My transport was delayed days and no one had an answer of where or why it was so. I spent allot of money to get the service and I was shocked they had no idea what they are doing and NO communication with their trucks. Please shop for many options before going with this company.
Answer: Via the website it was pretty easy and they called once. But, when giving updates, they didn't call as promised and just emailed.
Answer: There are many shipping brokers and definitely do your research. I've shipped over 12 times and this has been the absolute worse experience I've ever had.
Answer: 8 days after I paid extra money than initially asked for
