The customer service was great! The guy who helped me was able to calm me and help me with my problems and he was very professional.
I could have easily written my own resume with what little help I got from this and what a rip off - I just cancelled and the guy chatting with me kept trying to send me lectures about the fees etc - I told him please just cancel it and he was very intent on getting me to sign up for more fees - NO thanks!
I Love getting assistance with writing a resume, it had been a while, and needed help getting my resume updated, love all the professional styles to choose from, super easy to format, and download. I must admit that i am a little tech challenged so i found this site extremely beneficial
I paid them a one time fee,
They charge me monthly. Typical scumbag company screwing the people who pay their bills.
I really like the tips given at every stage as they were very helpful i guiding my thoughts. Also it is easy to use.
The features itself are great for helping to build the perfect resume. The customer service is wonderful when you need them.
I was able to write a resume snd print it easily, but when my credit card balance was high I realized I was being charged a monthly fee. I didn't know that was how it worked. I thought I signed up for a single use. I was $24.95 three months in a row
Without knowing it.
Very professional and I had forgotten to cancel my subscription and they waived the fee. I am soo happy theywaived the fee since I had forgotten
The site had all the tools necessary to create the best resume! It was fast and easy.
The live chat feature was epic, Dan is the man! He assisted me and was a pleasure to speak with.
Ten out of Ten stars. Epic.
I used this service 1 time in September 2017 having no idea it would turn into a $24.99 charge to my debit care every month until forever. I have tried to get them to remove it but they refuse every time with multiple excuses why they will not refund. My only option is to close my debit card. Terrible business practices... Stay Clear.
They were very polite and very easy to talk to... They were also very respectful... They told me everything that I needed to know and they were very fast at responding
This company is legitimately the worst. Be very careful. The "cheap" $3 you pay to download your resume secretly becomes a $25 subscription! It took 40 minutes of online chatting to finally get a refund and they kept pushing all of their other subscriptions on me time and time again. At one point, the representative said "Our company is great because you can share your account with any friends or family looking for a job or trying to create a resume or a cover letter for only $9.95" however, the representative failed to mention that this charge was MONTHLY and when I caught him on that he said, "we have a continuous billing feature" like I was expected to know that?
They helped with billing issues and are very kind:)
I preferred to use the chat box, it gets help faster and easier and I would recommend for you to do the same. It was a quick and easy transaction.
The subscription details are in very fine print - luckily I spotted them. Had some trouble getting the templates to work but it was otherwise smooth sailing and an easy download. Customer service was very very pushy when I tried to cancel my subscription before the first billing. I dont need a CV service all year, thank you - I only update it once every year or so.
Would benefit from a one off service. Dont be so insistent with the subscription plan - I ended up threatening to seek legal action if they didnt just cancel my subscription before they stopped. The "lets talk" section was quite helpful though.
Great service but I no longer have any use for using it that is why I discontinued ResumeHelp. The customer service personnel I spoke with this morning was a lot of help and he provided outstanding service. Thank you.
Read the fine print or you'll end up with a $25 charge on your account! We called to cancel and were told it would be refunded, and instead they charged us AGAIN so when we went to cancel AGAIN they would only refund one of the charges. Watch out.
The resume was beautiful and the 14 day trial price was good, but when I went on the chat to try to cancel the man was very insistent. He kept lowering the price for the month all the way to $3 which was nice but he didn't get the point that I DIDNT WANT A SUBSCRIPTION until I used caps. Thanks Zac for that Microsoft word tip.
I think the website is useful and the resumes are perfect. However, the site automatically subscribes you ($25/month) even after you pay to download your resume. This is far too expensive seeing as most people update their resume very infrequently. The site makes it very difficult to unsubscribe as well. I replied to an email that said I could reply to unsubscribe, yet the email was a no reply email and I was charged 25 dollars that month and I had to call customer service and it took pretty long to finally cancel my sub, and I'm not sure I'm fully cancelled yet because the confirmation emails they sent me are confusing.
So if you need a resume and you dont have a computer with Microsoft Word then the site is brilliant. Just make sure unsubscribe right away.
Overall, I was happy with the ease of use of the website as well as the variety of templates. Unfortunately, when printed, they turned out very poor. The titles in "bold" printed out the same font as the rest of the resume. I tried multiple templates and had the same issue. I was embarrassed to submit the resume, so I ended up creating my own which consumed even more time. The $24.90 a month subscription all of a sudden dropped to $4.95 when I attempted to cancel. Why try to gouge a new customer upfront for $25 and then try to make up for it with a lower price when they decide to cancel? Just charge the $4.95 to begin with. As a result, I will not use, or recommend this service.
Answer: Then don't, because they will charge you $24.90 even if you cancel your subscription immediately after printing your resume.
Answer: They will give the absolute run around. I had them tell me they had no re it's of me being a customer, even with my account details. I ended up going trough the Better Business Bureau. BBB managed to recover 65% of the money stolen from my account. The resume help swindlers refused to refund everything they had stolen. That's how they make their money after all.
Answer: I just cancelled my 14 day subscription now. So after reading all these reviews I think I will stay on the safe side too and cut this credit card in half before this month is up, just to be on the safe side
Answer: You have to use the chat function on the website and request that an agent assist you with the request
Answer: How would I know. I would suggest you contact them thru their customer service email address.
