The previous 1 star reviews must have happened before they changed their business model because I experienced no complications. I paid the $1.95 and made a beautiful resume and multiple cover letters to send out. I saved the resume I created to my computer and then I landed a career! Once I had a career I had no reason to pay their monthly fee (which I had not even paid yet, I was still in trial mode) so I got on the customer service chat and the guy who was chatting with me cancelled my service and congratulated me on my new career. No issues whatsoever. I hope that this company has a lot of success.
Resumehelp has been very helpful. It has taken the guess work out of trying to think of what to say on a resume. Its quick tips helps you put the words right into your mind. The different styles and formats is good for people like me who have trouble placing things professionally on the page. They make writing a resume so simple. It would have taken me hours to put together otherwise. It is worth the free trial and the monthly fee is good because you can cancel at anytime without a hassle.
Aiasha kindly helped me cancel my subscription. I will definitely refer this site to other for help with their resumes.
Thanks again,
Jennifer
After completion of the "free" resume you will see a payment option screen. Do NOT fill out payment info, instead call customer service number. George told me how to save, print and download my resume. He was very helpful and emailed me the resume.
Shouldve read reviews before hand
I have to cancel, cancel, and cancel Every Month Now I Guess!
This is how this company makes their $ $!
I have never used their site, yet have been billed on my credit card. The j, $#*! I spoke to read me 50 or more names out over the phone asking do I know any of these people and if I am spelling my name correct three times? When I asked his name he ignored me and repeated 'YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO ME'. After repeating my request 10 plus times he said A*****r they all n me as that.He asked me to send a pic. Of my cc bill to there email.to provide proof of being billed and went on to say this does not just happen i must be either forgetting using their services or spelling my name wrong, then laughed and said said DONT FORGET, IM EXPECTING TO RECIEVE IT TODAY. I pay good money for my internet use and think they ought to have a black list for companies like this so they cant advertise their company any more or continue stealing from persons in the future!
I signed up to create what I thought would be a free resume for my daughter. After I made it I couldn't print it unless I entered my CC number and paid a dollar. I wasn't happy about this but did it as I wanted to print the resume. I only realized this morning that they have been taking $40.00 out of my account every month for the past 3 months! Added to that they have also been taking random charges of a few cents here and there. I called them and told them I was not aware that I had signed up for anything and they need to cancel whatever subscription they have me signed up for. The rep told me that I would be receiving a refund for what amounts to 2 months. Even though they have taken more than that from me, I'm willing to walk away from this knowing that at least I get some of my money back. I have not seen the refund show up on my account yet but I'm hoping it will appear in a few days. If not, I will be calling them back. My advice would be to stay far away from this company. I think they have a very dishonest way of doing business.
Théy stole 60$ per month from me without my permition! Do not sign up théy Will steal from you, Its Been 4 months now Im getting rubbed by résumé help. Com
My experience mirrors that of virtually every review I've read about this company. Their "business model" appears to be enticing new users with a low cost resume option, hiding the monthly auto. Renewal subscription fees in the fine print, and then hoping you won't notice the monthly cc charge until you've paid a small fortune for a mediocre resume. $39.80/month! Who would knowingly pay almost $500/year for a "resume-building tool"? Canceling took forever--can't find your account info., can't find your email address, can't find your name, please send screen shot of cc charge to "customer service"! I hope it's canceled now, but I'll have to watch my cc bills very carefully in the future. Beware!
Their site says free template. You build your resume and THEN find out you have to pay to download or print it out. Then there is an automatic subscription renewal where they got me for $40 because I didnt cancel after the 14 day trial, which costs 1.95. I emailed them and said I didnt use the service beyond the 14 days and to credit me back the $39.80. They refused because I didnt cancel in time. They dont give an option to cancel through their site and you have to contact them by phone or email. I tried to call during their business hours and the recording said they are closed. Your resume is NOT free, you have to pay at least 1.95. Then they rely on you forgetting about the automatic renewal. My resume is mediocre at best on top of it and i couldnt contact a human by phone. Even their emails dont give a name behind the customer service. Strongly advise against using this website.
I only paid 1.95 for a print out and they unknowingly to me stole 53 dollars! Has anyone got a refund?
Money been taken from my account twice, for no reason. I choose one time use and paid for it. But they charged me twice 39.80$.
I called to get money back but representativ was rude and disrespectev to me.
I didn't get my money back. Teame of charlatans, racketeers.
I'm going to Police take all compliance and get them to jail, where they belong to.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
They will steal from your bank account on a monthly basis after you pay the $1.95 charge for fourteen days. This company owes me over $175 in money they have stolen from my account. I adjusted the account settings so that i would not be billed monthly and still they debited my account. Dodgy- no head office, no CEO and the call centre is run by some spanish guy working from his loungeroom. This company does not even get a star from me but had to select to post. Run away and DO NOT USE this company. Dodgy as.
Hidden $39.95 monthly fee! EXTREMELY EXTREMELY RUDE customer service and they are all foreign with thick accents that are difficult to understand. I got charged the $39.95 fee just moments ago and was surprised by it. I called to cancel and expected they would credit that charge (like any other company would do). They refused and were very rude and I could hardly understand what she was saying due to her thick accent. I also had spoken to another person prior who also was unintelligible and rude and the call for dropped.
My husband used this company to make a resume. To download it, it cost $1.95. Never did I see that there would be a monthly charge of $39.80. I have been trying to cancel this "subscription" two months now. Never did I get an account confirmation number, an email, nothing. When I call, they told me they needed an account number in order for it to be canceled. I don't HAVE one! Both men I spoke to were very rude.
I can't even log into this site because my email address wasn't recognized!
If someone from this company would like to contact me, my email address is *******@aol.com
Paid for my origanal resume and read the terms and agreements and I have yet to find anything that talks about getting charged $39.80 If it was there in plain sight I wouldn't have used it. I got charged and they would only give me 34.80 back. The guy on the phone was VERY rude and yelled at me and refused to give me my $5.00 back. I will not rocommend them nor will I EVER use them agian. They are scammers. They hide behind their fine print. Their customer service was rude and nasty.
Avoid giving this company your credit card information. They have charged my account months after my subscription was cancelled. I am afraid now that so much personal information has been given to them in the actual substance of my resume. They are obviously irresponsible with your personal information.
UPDATE: This company reversed the billing immediately upon being approached via online ticket, therefore I am updating my rating to 3/5 stars. I would still use with caution.
If you have a life change of either changing jobs, cell phone numbers, Email, or you move. You have to change your resume and pay them again. You would think after paying once to create the resume would be enough. But its not, there wasnt much thought put into this website, yes it's easy to make a resume on here. But thats about as far as it goes. I didnt put much thought into this, but peoples lifes change all the time. This website expects you to change your resume with it and pay them for it every time. What a business strategy. Dont waste your money or time. Because if you're moving in a month or have a better job come up, you have to pay them again. Very irritating and very poor experience. There are plenty of other websites that put a little bit of common sense into their policy. One single change and you have to pay, so if you made a mistake the first time, yes you have to pay again. Even if its one single letter. How can you make your website's name ResumeHelp and have this policy, your guess is better than mine. Because that isn't helping your already paying customer one bit. I would probably think of a policy to make my customer happy their first time back and hope they spread a good word about my website or business.
Answer: Then don't, because they will charge you $24.90 even if you cancel your subscription immediately after printing your resume.
Answer: They will give the absolute run around. I had them tell me they had no re it's of me being a customer, even with my account details. I ended up going trough the Better Business Bureau. BBB managed to recover 65% of the money stolen from my account. The resume help swindlers refused to refund everything they had stolen. That's how they make their money after all.
Answer: I just cancelled my 14 day subscription now. So after reading all these reviews I think I will stay on the safe side too and cut this credit card in half before this month is up, just to be on the safe side
Answer: You have to use the chat function on the website and request that an agent assist you with the request
Answer: How would I know. I would suggest you contact them thru their customer service email address.

Dear Jody N.,
I’m very sorry that you have had this experience with our service. The records indicate that you did cancel your subscription after the account rolled into a monthly subscription. The auto renewal is listed with the features of the 14 day subscription on the sales page, as well as on the payment and confirmation pages. We also send a payment confirmation email stating the date and amount of the auto- renewal. We do offer several ways to cancel including by phone, live chat, email and self-cancellation in your Account Settings.
However, as a courtesy I went ahead and refunded the $5.69 you are requesting. You'll see it on your bank statement within 2-3 business days.
We are very committed to providing great customer service and again are very sorry that you had this experience. We take all feedback very seriously. Please contact me directly if you have any further issues.
Best Regards,
Kyle
