I made a reservation for a Mariott hotel today, thinking I was on Mariott's site. Nope. On reservations.com site. I was not informed that the reservation was not cancellable until after I made it - they did a bait and switch so the price was much higher than the advertised price. Called customer service - no refund under any circumstances - even if I had Covid.
Be wary when clicking. Be sure which site you are really on. Stay the hell off this one, they are jerks.
Also, they charge you $19.99 for the privilege of being ripped off by them.
This company charged $204 ( including all fess), for our reservation, found there was a non-refunable $!(<(( service fee not listed, I called the front dest@ hotel & found out that had I called the hotel frount desk, we could have booked the room for $155 including all fees. Reservations, com charged almost $50,00 more with much more restrictive cancelation & changing charges, that Radisson did not have. The customer service would only refund the &19,99. The original charge was $224,99. We will never use again, reservation # was: R*******238(did not know how to do screen pront for proof.
Do not ever use this service. I thought I was linked to my chosen hotel website and would have never used this website for making a reservation. No refunds and money is taken from account when reservation is made. Horrible and dishonest business. Would not recommend! Would give minus 5 stars if available as a choice.
I reserved a room at a hotel in England. I thought I was booking direct, but apparently it was through reservations.com. I had to cancel the reservation and did so (I thought) by email to the hotel, but the cancellation was never confirmed. Then I noticed a charge on my credit card for the hotel plus a "service fee" (?) of $19.99. So, if I hadn't followed up on the credit card charges and contacted reservations.com, I'd be out the hotel fee, plus I was still charged the $19.99. Lesson: always book direct thru a hotel.
I made a reservation through reservations.com for a hotel room. The charge was supposed to be $89 but the charged $138.00 to my credit card. I called for a refund 4 times and was told there was no refund. I called the hotel and was told reservations.com paid them $75 for my reservation and they charged me $138.00. They are scammers! Do not make reservations with them!
Had rooms booked for three nights, got billed $554.67 plus BS $19.99 service charge when rooms booked, billed automatically on credit card. Cancelled a room for first night due to highway closed due to snowstorm, when we arrived at hotel next day my other nights two rooms had been cancelled since we didn't show for first night despite room being prepaid. So had to pay again, now fighting tooth and nail with Reservations.com to get reimbursed, customer service very rude, can't understand english, understand whatever lanquage
I unknowingly used reservations.com to book a hotel in Fort McMurray Alberta, Canada March 2022. The site represented itself as I was booking as directly with hotel. It was not. In addition it charged me in USD for Canadian hotel Without clarifying (charged 35% above market price). In addition to charging me they never sent confirmation email. In addition after my stay they continued to charge my credit card $25 for unknown reasons. I left my room early, but there was no number or method to get a refund. Total scam website, should have google warnings... I hope to report to police.
Went on hotel website and was directed to reservations.com not knowing I was on a third party. When I got confirmation, I realized the date was wrong. Call them back and requested a change. Was told it was non-refundable. Explained I did not request a refund but a date change. Was told I had to call the hotel. When I called the hotel, was told they needed an email from reservations.com to confirm my request. Then reservations.com needed they could not email the hotel. They are SO dishonest. Can not believe they are still in business.
In February and I had the misfortune of stumbling across reservations.com and made a reservation for what I thought was a month out from the booking date. Somehow the calendar reset and I accidentally made the date for the booking date instead of one month out.
I had previewed their cancellation policy and saw a $19.99 fee—Which in its location under cancellations made me believe this was a nonrefundable fee for modifications and cancellations. Upon calling customer service to tell them of my error in my booking dates… I was informed there were no changes… And no cancellations. Even though my booking had only taken place a couple hours before.
I was billed $1083. Nonrefundable. I disputed with Capital One my credit card company… They immediately took the charge off but I found out today that it was reinstated because the company responded. I was told I could escalate my dispute which I am. In the process of reading through the documentation reservations.com submitted to capital One I see they have changed their name two times since my February booking one month ago. They are using the names "getaroom.com" as well as "roomvalues.com"—
They are a slippery, shady fish.
Today I also filed a dispute with the Better Business Bureau in hopes that this company might be stopped in their fraudulent and deceptive tactics.
I can't help wonder if their booking calendar Refreshes to current booking date for the sole purpose of creating an error that cannot be corrected.
I feel the search engines and hotels that host/use these fraudulent companies should also be held accountable. With as many complaints on sitejabber.com
You would think the search engines would take notice of this and stop giving them a platform to rip off people.
NEVER EVER EVER USE THIS SITE IT IS A COMPLETE AND UTTER SHAM! YOU WILL GET OVER CHARGED AND THEY WONT EVER CANCEL A ROOM. I WOULD LIKE TO OPEN UP A LAW SUIT

They portrayed as the actual hotel, lied about the price, and had over charged us, gave no confirmation number.
They need to be shut down... immediately
Booked a Canadian hotel from a Canadian location, however, was billed in USD. Plus, and added USD $25. Service fee was added. Total C$200. Bill for a room listed for C$101.
You cancel a reservation way ahead of time and they charge you 15% or more. Such a scam! I will never book with them again!
Stay away from Resevations.com
Hidden fees. Deliberate omissions. Deliberate misleading. Unethical.
I thought I was talking to Holiday Inn directly, even mention my membership benefits. Of course the guys english sucked. Got a rate for our room. Did not know there was another charge of 19.99. My credit card was charged right away. 19.99 is not refundable. My hotel stays were $40 less when I got there then what I paid, but because reservations.com paid the bill, I'am guessing they made off with the $40 plus the 19.99. Holiday Inn knew nothing other then the amount the bill was suppose to be and that it was paid, which was less then reservations.com charged me. Internet users beware!
I, too, was tricked into making a reservation through this site. It was not made clear I was going to be charged 19.99 for it. They refused to give me back my money even though I cancelled the reservation. I called my credit card company and they denied reservations.com the $19.99. I think many card companies understand this company is a scam.
Their cancelation policy is criminal. To get your money back you have to cancel the reservation before you make it. I made my reservation about 4 PM but I had to cancel before 1 AM. If you don't have a time machine they are going to take your money and bill your credit card
We needed a hotel for an overnight stay on route to our destination. I searched in the area of our travels and selected the Days Inn in Stouffville Ontario. Unfortunately, i was using the Reservation.com service for this. (And fyi - the "reservation.com" service is actually through Expedia.com). The rate offered for the King room was $95.00. I proceeded with this 'deal', and began the reservation process. There was no mention of "other charges", and I tried to select Paypal as my method of payment. Normally with Paypal you are redirected from the site you are on to the Paypal site where you see the full charges and can approve the purchase. That did not happen. I did not see a total charges anywhere, just a confirmation of the reservation. However, when I received an email from reservations.com the summary of charges including "taxes and fees" and an additional charge as a service fee. Worse yet - the charges were in American dollars, not Canadian dollars which is where I am. the $95 rate became $143 with the taxes, fees and service charge. Translated to Canadian dollars it was $182 - almost double what the original rate appeared as. Long story short - of course there would be no refund - even given the deceptive tactics on the website. I would stay far away from this company for anything
I used this service to reserve a room at a nice downtown hotel for a fun evening out with my wife to celebrate our anniversary. The very next day I found that we had a conflict with the night we chose. No problem, I contacted the reservation service (still a week away from our intended date) but they said there was no cancelation and I could not move the date without forfeiting the entire $290. What reservation service does not allow for changes in plans? What a joke. If I had called the hotel directly this would never have happened. So for the convenience and $20 fee that comes with using this service... I get screwed. Will avoid this service like the plague. It is inflexible. What a horrible service.
Read very carefully when you do a reservation with this company. Or better yet never do one.
This company has hidden charges that make your hotel price appear less that what it is.
It also charge a ridiculous service feed. Also I'm Canadian, they charge me in US dollars and was too late to change.
The hotel end up costing almost double of what will normally cost.
Do yourself a favor and do not reserve any hotel with this company.

Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
