Horrible customer service, people beware. I would have given them a zero star if given the option. I know policy is important but the wedding we were attending had to be cxled due to a family falling deathly ill after a couple of hours of booking the reservation. When we called they just cared about their"Stricted" policy and reminded me it was written on my receipt. And we were out of luck but that they did appreciate us understanding that they just didn't care.
You may think that you are making reservations with the hotel itself, and reservations.com goes to a lot of trouble to make you think this. For example, only the hotel name will appear at the top of your web page; reservations, com will not. They charge excessive fees for no service whatsoever. Not lower rates, not better cancellation policies, nothing. The rates they actually charge bear little relationship to what you thought you were booking for. Today, I booked two nights for $233/night and was charged $630 PLUS their $34.98 non-refundable service fee. No service calls, no reparations, no explanations. The worst of the web. Why web services allow people like this to pay for #1 positions baffles me. It degrades the whole web experience.
I thought I was on the Ramada site because their logo "R" looks like Ramadas. Only after I made the reservation did they make clear it was nonrefundable. I immediately called to try to cancel, but they still charged my credit card.
I made a reservation on 12/5, went to cancel it, and was told that I only had until 12/4 to cancel it. Rip-off in terms of extra fees and fradulent service.
Site came up when I thought I was making reservation direct with Hotel.
On morning of my trip my meetings were canceled, so I went back online to cancel hotel. I was informed that I had contacted them past their deadline so they could not cancel my reservation. Instead of me forfeiting the cost of that nights reservation, they refused to cancel the entire 4 day reservation and are charging me the entire cost of the reservation. This has been turned over to American Express as a disputed charge, so hopefully I can get some relief. My advice to anyone is to avoid third party sites and make reservations directly with hotel. It turns out, I could have gotten a better rate by calling the hotel reservation line direct anyway.
I agreed to seventeen hun dred 88 dollars they charged my card 2600 something 688.82 in taxes 300 other fees i cancelled Immediately they said no refunds but cancelled room said still closed because covid but would give me 800 back through PayPal wtf? I disputed with card and investigation screw scam company
Please do not use these scammers! They scammed me out of hundreds of dollars on my trip to Grenada! My room was $128/night for 5 nights plus taxes. Total of $755 plus their $20 fee. Then after I booked I was charged a total of $1,145. This was an addtional $370! I became friends with the girl at the front desk while I was there and she said their hotel only got $128/night TOTAL including taxes, etc. That means my hotel got $640 and these scum got $505. Fortunately she went straight up the chain with this at the hotel and a rather large hotel chain now refuses to use them.
Just look at their site. A whole ton of 5 star reviews and not one that's less. Really? And what's even more suspect is there is no place to LEAVE a review. So they are clearly writing their own. The site also has pages and pages of legal disclaimers saying their charges are "approximate and they aren't libel for overcharges". PLEASE DO NOT USE THESE SCAMMERS! PLEASE spread the word!
Don't ever use reservations.com. They claim they are the hotel and have no customer service. My hotel closed so we could not keep the reservation, nor should I pay for a hotel I cant stay at. Finally after months I was told I would get refund but they we're keeping the fees. Well it has been over a month and still no credit back. They are not helpful and try and blame on credit card company. Funny all other transactions happen with credit card company. I plan to call them daily until I receive my credit. Please use the hotel for booking not reservations. Com as they are a bunch of scammers.
Hopefully it will serve more people, they should not book with these people, at first, very friendly, once they took the money from you and by the way an excessive charge for the rooms, they will never admit that they scammed us, if someone wants to sue them, let's do a group, the more strength we can, I don't know if we can recover what is ours but if they take these scammers out of the market
Reservations. Com booked my daughter and I a hotel failing more than one request. Most important request was hotel with a functional pool for my special needs daughter who's main and only activity is to
Swim. The only reason we were going to the hotel is for her to swim all evening and the next morning. When we arrived the pool was not open because if maintenance as The manager stated is on their website. The hotel Manager said it was out if her hands because their website clearly states the pool was under maintenance. Reservation.com is saying they filled the request because the hotel had a pool! They said they had no information telling them if the pool was functioning or not so they denied refund however the reason it was denied was because it was past the cancellation window?Neither the reservation.com or the hotel will give us a refund. We had to leave the hotel and find another because my special needs daughter could not rightly understand how we could possibly stay if she could not swim. We drove 40 minutes to and paid stay elsewhere with a pool. Reservation.com denied a refund because it was past the cancellation window time. How do we know to cancel when we found out there was no pool to use until we checked in? Help! How is this fair to my daughter? How do i reach head office?
I went to book my hotel thinking that I was on the horel website and after our stay i am told that it was booked via this site which is an affiliate to expedia! Charged me 30% more as it was in US dollars and completely took advantage of me! WHAT A SCAM & RIP OFF - check to make sure you are going direct to hotel website and clear your cookies as these companies just scam you thinking you are on the official hotel website
The Reservations.com system had an error and double booked me. I was charged twice for the same reservation and have spent days fighting for a refund of the second charge. No refund has been issued.
The best part was when I was told my case was reviewed again…two minutes after I sent an email.
Beware of these people. If you use them and cancel you will find out. I canceled a reservation within an hour of making itand was still charged a service fee
I booked a hotel in Canada from Canada and agreed to a price. When I received my invoice, I was charged in US funds. That was more than 30% increase in price. Not once was I advised that the funds were in USD. I called and told them to cancel. Which they did not. I followed up with the customer service that took my information and quickly deleted it. This took place in July 2022 and I still have yet to hear from them. It has been a very expensive lesson in not to trust 3rd party sites. Truth be told, I thought that I was calling the hotel directly. These sites have become masters of disguise and deceit.
The worse experience I have ever had! This people are thieves! They lie and lie and rob you blind!
I had a medical appointment and made a hotel reservation to see the doctor through this company. My medical appointment was then moved to a different day by the doctor's office. I went to cancel the hotel reservation and was confused by the message on the screen, meaning I clicked in the wrong place. Then I checked my email and found the confirmation that they processed the $19.99 fee to cancel. Then I went back to make sure I'd done the right thing and realized I had to correct it. The site wouldn't let me, so I immediately called the support number and was told that it was now a non-cancellable reservation, meaning I have a hotel room that I cannot use but have to pay for. Infuriating. We've just lost a lot of money. STAY AWAY FROM THEIR SITE!
I Google searched a hotel that I had recently stayed at. My top search ended up with the Hotel name, inferring that the booking site was associated with the hotel.
Upon booking and receiving my confirmation email, I was shocked to see that my reservation was charged, not held. This was inconsistent with other bookings. Further to my shock was my booking rate was converted to USD! I called Reservations (hotel reservations in my mind) within 1 minute to inquire and request a cancellation, as the fees were beyond what I was approved by my company to expense. I was told that the booking company was not associated with the hotel (despite the fraudulent Google listing) and also that the fee was non-refundable (despite there being a cancellation fee structure outlined in the cancellation policy).
This company is completely fraudulent and obviously relies on slick SEO and misleading information to bait and switch customers. I'm not even sure why they have a Customer Service department. There obviously is no customer service. Judging by the consumer rating and sheer volume of complaints on this company, I guess it's a complaint line to field calls with "too bad for you" auto replies.
Reservation.com is a terrible site. They told me my desired hotel was full a courtyard Holiday Inn, which was a lie then booked me into a Marriott next door. I noticed the Holiday Inn i had wanted because i had stayed there before and been satisfied looked like it had lots of vacancies so i went inside and asked. They had plenty of room for all 3 days i wanted. I suspect reservations.com was getting better kick backs from the Marriott.
Reservations.com & Getaroom.com are NOT legit.

The BBB website above says:
CURRENT ALERTS FOR THIS BUSINESS
Pattern of Complaints
In April 2020, Getaroom.com cooperated with BBB's 2019 request that the business adequately address a concerning pattern of BBB consumer complaints. At the time, the company communicated actions that it would take, or had already taken, to prevent similar complaints in the future. In response, BBB agreed to monitor the company's BBB complaints for up to a year. The monitoring and review were completed April 26,2021.
Among BBB's complaint review was a concerning pattern of complaints alleging Getaroom.com uses deceptive online advertising practices, as well as telephone customer service interactions, that lead consumers to believe they are interacting directly with a particular hotel's staff when they are trying to reserve a room. Consumers often claim they were unaware that they were interacting with a third-party until after they have been charged by Getaroom.com.
After conducting a review of GetARoom.com's most recent BBB complaints, BBB determined the allegations, and overall concerning pattern of complaints, persist.
Note: The only reason they have a 100% Response Rate is because the BBB told them they have to do better in responding to customer's complaints on the BBB Website. You can read their responses to each complaint. They basically in a long winded way say, "it's not our fault."
They use bait and switch tactics on their website. They quote one price and then once you purchase it send you an email and the price is 3x what you agree to. I knew it was non-refundable, but that was before they gave me the increased total via email. When you complain, expect them to say they will apply for you to get a refund, but they will only apply to it after you cancel it. And the refund is not guaranteed and will take 7-10 business days. I asked for the refund 15 minutes after I got duped. The price is $200 more than booking it directly with the hotel, which is what I thought I was doing because the advertisement made it look like it was for Holiday Inn Express and not a bogus Scam Company.
I made this reservation for work. My employer needed to move the date 30 minutes later. I called reservation.com to cancel and they were going to charge me over$200 to cancel. I kept the appointment and work decided to not change my schedule. This site is not good for work situations. I literally tried to cancel the appointment within 30 minutes and they would not make an exception. Will never use this site again.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
