We were able to take care of both reservations with 1 call.
We always stay at this hotel 2 or 3 times a year and stay a night on our way to Ky and a night on our way back to SW Florida.

I stated I did not want to proceed with booking due to it being much more expensive than online offerings. I was assured I wasn't charged and I just checked my account and was charged for a hotel booking that I did not authorize.

When booking reservations I specifically asked for a room on 2 nd floor or above. I inquired if there was an elevator and Alberto said yes. Days Inn feels very delapadated. I'm very disappointed. If it hadn't been that I am attending a funeral early tomorrow, I would've walked out and cancelled. Diego Alberto is not a trusted representative. Will definitely NOT consider any Days Inn anytime soon.

I called the 613 area code (Ontario, Ottawa area) thinking that this was a local number and was going to be charged in Canadian dollars, instead it turns out to be in the United States and I got charged in US dollars

Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
